Yea Mark I saw him, lucky I didn't do what I was thinking,I was gonna leave some serious rubber on the exit,,he must have taken a dis-liking to my left-hand rear 1/4. He stayed well back over the top of the mountain,,,or was that me teaching him a leason. How tight is the left-handed into the chase,,,mad 2nd gear corner that one!!!!. I,,,We had a great time,,,,10 Skylines I think,,,we RULE. Pity I didn't hang around longer and come home with you guy's,,,I had to get out of there,,,,my right foot was getting out of control. Neil.

predator666,,,when you remove a rear wheel,,,you will see 5 wheel studs,,,2 threaded holes and 1 slightly larger hole which should have a rubber plug in it. The rubber plug one is to do your adjusting. The 2 threaded holes are so you can remove the disc,,,BUT ONLY ever using High-Tensile bolts as a puller just in case it's a bastard to get off. Take a disc off and have a look,,,you will understand then what I'm saying. Yes Moschops the inside of the disc has a braking surface and has Drum brake like pads in there and yes sooner or later they will need replacing. Neil.

Just a few observations after reading this thread:- 1/ Opening the bleed valve is NOT necessary for retracting the pistons. If you keep topping up the Master Cylinder all the time as your pads wear then you will need to keep a watchful eye on it as you push the pistons back home or it will overflow. Buy a big syringe from a Vet or a Model Plane hobby shop and suck the excess out. Avoid topping up the Cylinder in the 1st place,,,,the level is something to keep a eye on as it tells you how your system is going ie pad wear and possible leaks. Pushing the pistons back is usually done with a specialist tool,,,the G-clamp one is also good,,,but you can cheat by using the old pad and a screwdriver as a pry bar between the pad and the disc. A bit Bodgie but it will work The G-Clamp idea sounds much better though. Just have a good think about it before you start doing anything. 2/ You don't have to worry about water absorbtion as long as you change the fluid regulally. Water gets into your brake system through reverse osmosis,,, it get through your rubber brake hoses over a long period of time. Thats why manufacturers recommend changing it every 12 months. 3/ Dot 5 brake fluid is a great choice,,, try Motul RBF600 or any of the other high quality brands. The main reason you'll boil the brake fluid on a race track is by using Street Pads. Go buy yourself a harder pad for the track,,,something like an EBC Red or the like. That way you'll stop brake pad fade which leads to keeping the fluid cooler and when you need that middle pedal on a great lap you'll have a nice firm one. 4/ When bleeding your system start at the left rear,,next the right rear and then the left front and finish on the right front. Only ever use a good quality ring spanner and please if the bleed valves spanner contact area look sus replace it. Many a time I have been guilty of not replacing it and many a time I have suffered,,,espcially on a Sunday arvo when nobodies open. I'm starting to think I should write a article about doing brakes. Sorry for the rant but brakes and me have always been good buddies. Neil. -

And I'm thinking you two should start your own thread and stop high-jacking Waz's. Deletion is iminent. Neil. -
Personally,,,I think you two should go and read the rules,,,,. Skylines Australia has no problem with this Gentleman posting his Nissan powered Commodore for sale here or for that matter any other type of car. Good luck with the sale Skatin Neil.

R34 GTR's Dominate Jap GT Champ Race at Fuji
Neil replied to Neil's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
No mate,,,he's retired from Jap racing,,,just interested in the Aussie V8 enduro's now,,,,Pity hey. Neil. -
The GTR of Richard Lyons and Masami Kageyama led home Benoit Treluyer and Yuji Ide for a One,,Two finish at Fuji. We beat the Supra's. The Supra of Tachikawa lead from pole and into the 1st pitstop but the Gtr of Lyons mowed him down,,,the Supra not able to keep the pace and hit a guard rail. 3rd place went to Domanik Schwager and Manabu Orido in a Supra,,but a hard charging Micharl Krumm almost made it a Trifecta. Juichi Wakisaka and Akira Iida who won the 1st Round in their Supra, but only managed 30th at Fuji. there race was lost after 2 laps when they suffered steering problems and finally finished 30th. So that means Nissan are leading after 2 rounds. Neil.
