  1. maybe increase pressure? the r33 has a shitload of weight over the front wheels, so i always run 40psi for the fronts in 18's. not sure about the r32 with 16's. and at lower pressure, these momo's can feel a bit mushy too. but right now, they feel fine, and not at all uncomfortable.
  2. will do. although for the price, they are already miles ahead.
  3. after using these tyres for a while now. I'm going to say they are fkn brilliant! grip grip grip! comfort. excellent response and sharp turn-in. ive pushed these fairly hard in the wet, dry, cold, hot, dusty (ahh sydney weather!) better than ku31. def better than mid range falkens. better wet grip IMO than nitto 555's. that's all i can compare them to. Oh and better than achilles, obviously. i'm impressed!
  4. I've got tein super streets. they are great for street driving. I love them. fairly comfortable, (still firm, not soft squishy falcon comfortable). good for dealing with bumpy uneven roads. combined with good swaybars, the car handles quite well. for a track oriented car, i would probably say super streets are a little too soft.
  5. No complaints here! they were fitted at 35psi, but felt a little 'dull' in respect to feedback. so I'm running these at 40psi (which i usually do up front anyway). theyre definitely comfortable at 40 though. They absorb the bumps well. Still quiet, from what i can tell over my engine/exhaust noise anyway. feedback is good, response is sharp enough. grip is great.
  6. update. yes it does say 'made in china' on the tyre in microscopic lettering. ive been driving in the rain, and after-rain wet slick road surfaces over the last 2 days. momo m3's on the front. these tyres grip very well in wet conditions. there was no sign of any slip or aqua planing. the front gripped really well in the bends, corners, and straights. obviously i'm not pushing them to their limits in the wet on the street. but so far, i'm really happy with these tyres, and for the price, they seem unbeatable. hopefully they hold up well over time.
  7. "engineered in italy" but i'm sure theyre made in china. doesnt say it on the tyre though. with a 280 treadwear rating, i would guess theyre not your average china tyre.
  8. I just got a pair fitted this morning. $250 for the pair in 225/40/18 at St.George Tyres in Arncliffe. The guys there are pretty damn helpful. I replaced 235/40/18 Falkens with them. The Momo dont come in 235 and the 245's would have scrubbed. I didnt want to go down in size, but when they measured the tread width, it turns out the 225 Momo are actually a touch wider than the 235 Falkens. So they look and fit just right. No stretch now, compared to the Falkens. No strange vibrations or anything of that nature that you would see immediately with a crappy tyre. The tread pattern looks good. The tyre quality seems good. Not that its saying much at this stage. Interested to see what they handle like in the wet. They are definitely quiet (if that's important to you), and surprisingly comfortable. I'll report back here after ive had them for a while.
  9. Has anyone tried these new momo tyres? Momo Outrun M3. >>> http://www.momotires.it/en/summer-tires/outrun-m3.html I'm hesitant in buying a pair (for the front) because I cant find a single review. They've only just come into the market. treadwear 280 Why do I care? Because they are priced so ridiculously cheap. I'm hoping price is not based on their quality, but rather because they're new to the market.
  10. FYI for future searches. I had the rear alignment done. My calculations were a little out. I had -1 degree on the passenger side, -1.2 degree on the drivers side. The toe had hardly been affected. Was sitting on zero. I suspect it was previously just under zero. So i guess adding positive camber = increase in toe out?? Anyway, new rear alignment is -0.8 deg, 0 toe. I think that's reasonable for street driving. Cheers for the help guys!
  11. yeah but I'm pretty sure you can rectify that by adjusting the hicas (lock bar) rods. also, i'm pretty sure i can feel more rolling resistance now. so thats what made me think maybe toe was not zero anymore.
  12. no thats not a photo of my car. Just showing which type of adjustable arms i was using. i only have the one that bends around the coilover. as in the 2nd pic. i dont think there is any adjustment in the other arm in stock form. ive had my camber adjusted a while ago, and the guy had it spot on. but since then it's been lowered a little more and it was bugging me, hence the home adjustment.
  13. Yes, i thought as much re: toe being affected one way or the other.. Just wasnt sure. Do you mean both sides (driver and passenger) equally? Yes. I adjusted both sides to about 7-8mm below zero camber. (495mm / 8mm) x (INV)tan = 0.89 degrees. Of course i did this at home, and didnt use precision measuring tools, but it looks good to me. However, toe is much harder to measure and gestimate, so I should prob get this looked at anyway.
  14. Hey guys, ive got a question I couldn't specifically find the answer to. Is toe affected when adjusting rear camber on an R33 GTST, using adjustable rear camber arms (upper arms), like these? >> If it is affected, how much would it change vs camber? Does that makes sense? ie. I adjusted the rear camber myself, adding about 1 degree positive. From my measurements & calculations, around -1.8 deg >> to -0.8 deg. (possibly off, but moved + towards zero some amount) 18 inch wheels, so lip to lip, rim height measures 495mm. Cheers
  15. ahh, so it's already plumbed to the stock oil cooler (in standard scenario)?
  16. apparently stock is 1/8 BSP. Most aftermarket oil sensors are 1/8 NPT. but what is the one in the pic above?
  17. In this spot here? What size is it? Wouldn't happen to be the standard 1/8? Is this a good location to get oil pressure readings from? If so, saves the trouble of a sandwich plate. I'm guessing there would be no oil pouring out during installation either, yeah?
  18. wait for someone to confirm. i can't recall exactly, but i think you need 3/4UNF-16 to the block. Which it seems is the one you linked.
  19. that looks like rust to me. i had the same on my passenger door. cost me about $300 to repair properly, respray, colour match, and blend. in my case, there was a piece of sound deadening mat thingy stuck to the inside of the door right behind the spot. it was collecting water and sitting there causing the rust bubble. I wouldnt be surprised if you find the same with yours, coz realistically, there's no other reason for a spot in the middle of a sheet to begin rusting. a replacement door might be cheaper to buy, but then there's little chance the colour will match perfectly.
  20. I did the same. MDF parcel shelf. 6x9's mounted flush, but rotated about 40 deg.
  21. its all personal taste as far as looks go, but if you drive a supra, you'll be like mmmm, this is good shit in my opinion. they look awesome when not covered in veilside gayness, and bling chromies, which unfortunately is far too common with supra owners. must incl. 1 hottie
