  5. leave the turbo attached to the manifold, you dont have to lift it all up just across toward the strut. i did this a couple of weekends ago with no real dramas, other than i couldnt get the thing out but that cos its a hks setup which hits the chassis rails ive heard as little as 2hrs for the job so i reckon you could do it yourself, its just a matter of unbolting and being methodical so you dont lose anything or drop any bolts into the manifold!
  6. yeh tis
  7. paul i sent ya a msg, ive got some crap to sell
  8. how much would it cost to ceramic coat the exhaust manifold only?
  9. thanks, it turns out this isnt really what im after. top end is fine on my car and makes big power. but due to the large turbo it lacks driveability, ive downsiezed the exhaust wheel from a 2.24" to a 2" but without the desired effect. i want full boost by 3500rpm, maybe with a turbo that big im dreamin
  10. hmm seem a little expensive for what they do. maybe im just expecting too much. ill just put it all together as is
  11. nah im looking for a cheaper option, prefereably to do with the head/cams/cam gears as its all off the car at the moment
  12. ceramic coating aint gunah reduce spool times. cmon paul, think!
  13. ah k, maybe not what im looking for im trying to increase the flow in the head on the exhaust side to help spool-up and according to the head guy there isnt a whole heap to be gained from port n polish ie money vs effect
  14. what sort of gains? under what situation is the gear most suited to? can it reduce lag?
  15. ok forget aout price, i want to know what they do, how you install them and under what circumstances they are beneficial. exhaust side only... thanks
  16. just a few questions on these adjustable cam gears a) whats a good price for them B) should you use buy both inlet and exhaust? c) do they confuse any ECU's? d) whats involved in setting them up and tuning them? e) under what situation are they recommended ie for a heavily tuned vehicle, to reduce lag, increase tuneability?? thanks adam
  17. cam u really getting an exhaust cam? theyre like $1000! do you mean adjustable cam gear on the exhaust side?
  18. oi macka u **** i can organise a cruise! the only one i failed to organise was when i was in england and had access to a computer once every 2 weeks which made it a little hard
  19. will give you $120 for it
  20. but thats for drags, and you dont drive to work in 1/4 mile stretches. id go for an all-round tyre which performs on the street, if your keen on making good times at kwinana get a couple of stock rims with higher profile tyres plus being 4WD you dont have to worry as much as us RWD guys cos traction is aided by atesa
  21. i may call a cruise mid april? juts to celebrate the fact my car is working again. i reckon we do a nighter, preferably friday cos theres seems less in the way of pubs n clubs which are decent on a friday night. say meet 9ish leave 930 from city west or south perth for the usual late-night business
  22. cool, all i need now is an ECU and some 13B injectors and job done!
  23. see if they can upgrade you to a wheelchair, thats the life
  24. paul; im getting the shopping list of parts done this week, i need to buy a whole lot of shit! im aiming to get a bulk of it done this weekend but dont really expect it finished. id be happy with the head bolted on and the cams in place and setup. cos all the other stuff i can do myself during the week
