Going down the Princes fry in Vic, what do ya know bang, have a look in the rear view and see glass shattering, have a look in the drivers side mirror and nothing but white glue, the mirror actualy fell off, it has left a chip in my door where it has hit after falling so i can fix that but does anyone know where to get the actual mirror from, the glass piece im talking about, not the assemebly? And has this happened to anyone before?
  2. Thanx for the replies, well today i stuffed around with it a little. I have found out that i only have power going to 1 side of the fuse box. I needed to short the ignition side to get my windows up. Ive givin up on it, im taking it to an auto elec next week. The belt is still on everything is where it should be. Ive done what i can, time to bite the bullet and get someone that knows what there doing on to it. Thanx for the help anyway
  3. I think it would be more then just the indicator stalk or some little kind off short like that. I will take it to an auto elec but i just wanted to know if anyone had an idea of what it could be. Could it be a blown engine, could it be a fuse i missed, could it be a problem with something i don't even know about??? Please i really am desperate, im driving my dads peiece of crap vn which has no power at all. Please help anyone, any ideas would be great.
  4. Hey everyone, happy new year! Well quick story, driving 2 weeks ago on a back road with a mate, gave it a bit, nothing like i hadnt done before and by the time i got home which was about 10mks from when i was driving it pretty hard on a straight stretch of road we both noticed that the car was making anoise from the engine bay, lifted the bonnet and the sound was as if a belt was metal and was going round with no lube to take the noise away(bad description i know sorry). I thought it couldve been the timing chain as the car is overdue for its 100,000km service. I went to a mechanic that i dont know of cos im new to this area (just moved in November) and he thought it could be the air conditioning pulley as the noise was coming from the bottom of the engine near all the fan belts and the pulley was slightly warped whilst going round, and warped by the way of bugger all to be honest, couldnt even tell unless you really stared at it for a while. he said it should be fine and the car drivable for a while before it would seize and then it would just burn the belt out. Well my air con shit itself about 2 months ago but it doesnt bother me not having it. I then drive to a mates place, 50km round trip and the noise is the same. Go to work the next day, its fine, then come out for smoko and go to drive off and the car died when i changed into 2nd doing maybe 20km/h whilst the windows were going down. When i try to start the car, no ignition lights come on on the dash, the beeping sound still works with the keys in the ignition, allthough now it also sounds when the key has been turned to the 1 before start, i dont think it did that before, the horn works, the interior light works, now i cant get the windows up either. its as if the is no battery connected to the car when i try to start it. I put a multi mtere on the battery, thats fine, checked all the fuses near the drivers side kick panel, and 1 20amp was blown but cant tell which one, i have 2 going sideways as all the others go up and down, it was the 1 near the blade fuse puller thingy. i changed that and also used a different car battery and also checked the 2 fuses in the fuse box under the bonnet, they were fine, plus also another fuse that is connected btween the positive on the fuse box and goes somewhere through the engine, but cant find where, that fine. I undid the wiring loom that goes into the ecu whilst no battery just to maybe reset it on the off chance as well, but nothing. i have volatge to the fuse box under the bonnet. Ive just moved to Melton in Victoria so if anyone can either help me fix this on here, or tell me where i could go or even better just come round and gimme a hand it would be more then appreciated. Im strapped for cash at the moment so i hope its not the bottom end, but ive blown an engine before in a car and the ignition lights still come on when i went to restart that car, but nothing on this. 1994 r33, turbosmart boost controller t-piece 11psi, and no other mods. Please help me or any ideas would be greatly appeciated, mind you im not to mechancially minded on this car.
  5. Sorry bout the late reply, its a late 94 r33, i doesnt make a sound, ive had the battery changed professionally in the remote in case it was a flat battery but to no avail. Need to get an alarm put in it very soon so ill get it all fixed then i think.
  6. I picked my car up and my central locking worked, i got it home then it stopped working all together, would this still be a loose rod or would it be something else??? Sorry to hijack
  7. how many people have to bullshit before people reliese there own actions. Of course everyone has put there foot down in 2nd in a 40 or 50 km zone, i sure as hell know i have, and can tell ya right now that 90% of the people on this site have. And to the people that say that they havent that is a load if crao cos i know you have, i have seen ya, lol. I know that it aint good for a club to be thought of being bad from the cops but really it up to the individual, no matter what the club thinks, on how they represent themselves. I think people are being soo harsh to this sertain person and need to be able to say hey pull up a bit. You all may say revoke his membership but, man, honeslty, please get over yaselves and relise that every person with a license is gunna get some sortt of fine in thier lifetime. Unless your that person sitting in the back row plying with ya self whilst repeating the workds in some movie; overnight part from japan!!! if ya know what i mean!!
  8. i agree with ya 97r33 about them picking on things, my turbo timer is beside my electric mirror thingy (r33gtst) so to remove that would i just be able to remove the turn knob, would that pass, if not connected to anything, the put it back on afterwards???? thats what im really asking, fines? i dont have alot of cash and need to know wether to save up for a fine aswell as upgrades cos im gunna be doing more to the car, its just that i wannna keep money aside for the shit that happens incase i do get pulled over. Its a dailt driver and its driven around 400kms a week, iver had it for around 2 and a bit months and havent been pulled over YET, but when i do, im one of thse people that pay the penelty and get on with it staight away? Im just scared of being pulled over for a RBT and getting done for every little minor thing on my car when i know very well that 1000 other people have the same thing done and dont get done for it.
  9. mine is completly stock, the thing is i have a volt guage on top of my steering wheel, turbosmart t boost controller and also a turbo timer, i know you cant have the boost controller, i know that you cant leave the car running if the keys arnt in the car, and i also know the volt guage could be deemed as being obstructing the view of my speedo? Are these likely to get done in a road worthy. I have a r33 so i know they are always pulled over.

  13. hey people, i know eventualy i am going to the dredded yellow sticker but just wondering, as ive never had one and know of no one that has had one, i was wondering do you get a fine as well as having to change the part that needs replacing. eg t-boost controller. They are illegal but do i get a fine as well as having to replace this with the stock t-piece? Damo

Cheers mate, but also in saying that you were selfish, you also did something that im pretty sure a lot of people have always wanted to do but have never had the balls or money to do, run the bitch as hard as it could do and not care about the consiquences, i think a lot of poeple will actually understand that the more you look after the car, the more power can be put into it.   17. hey bro, look ive just spent the good part of 2 1/2 hours reading this thread and its my bloody birthday, ive even held of on the cake till i read this, lol. What a thread, one of the best of read on this site. To the doubters out there, well you said he was dreaming and the dream came alive. The power you got out of the engine was pheonaminal, it makes ya think what a 13 odd year old engine can actually achieve. To the believers, aim high and you can go far. I know that the availability of a dyno and the mind of someone like your self (mechanicaly) not everyone has, but you took advantage of it and done well. That engine had a lot of balls. Anyway good luck with the new one and who knows what power you'll hit with this one. Damo
  18. hey there, look i have a stock r33 93 model and i do 400km to the tank regulary, all i have done is 2 weeks ago put on a turbosmart boost controller and put the boost to around 10psi, she still runs the same as before and i give it to it every now and then, ive only had the car for 2 morths so im still in the honeymoon stage if ya know what i mean. I have seen people here with heavily modified cars happy to do 300-350kms. 400km to me and you are good, wait till ya explore and have fun like i want to do and then we shall see what we say in a years time, lol, maybe 300kms of BP's best maybe great, who knows. Keep the fuel burning boys, its the only way to have ya car go the way ya want it!!! :sorcerer:
  19. hey all, i dont know too much about fmic bout i got quoted $700 fitted from the place i bought my car from, i know its only some sort of hybrid but the piping and connections are silicon (blue) and seem to look good. I know there probably as good as the other ones going around but isnt it better to have a good shit one then a shit good one, if that makes sense, lol

  21. I did buy my r33 from JSA, they were actually good for me. They dropped the price, the car interior was in very very good condition and the engine bay was in good nick. I was thinking about taking the car back to them for the service, as ive only had it for about a month and a bit now but now you have me thinking, do i or dont i, are they that bad. I relise that they will f**k around with the odemetre and make it all nice for the consumer but the car i bought was actaully very good, maybe people have had a bed experience with them but mine was good. I must say that i started dealing with some sales bloke then changed to the managing director, i wont say names but he was acually pretty cool with me, unlike the sales bloke just looking for the buck. Thats my $1
  22. Well there ya go, i only saw the holders yesterday, had the car for just over a month and thought the place where i bought it from had taken something out that should be there. I wish i had looked to see if it were there when i took the car for the first test drive!!!
  23. 5mm thick steel will be hard to bend by hand, i used to work with aluminium and i know from off the top of my head that steel is about 3 times as strong. Probably better off taking it somwhere and giving them a 6 pack of beers to bend it up for ya, at least that way the bend will be straight and be able to get the perfect angle you wish to achieve

  25. Hi people, just after some advice, im all new to the turbo scene and was wondering what order i should do things to save money and time. I have a stock r33 s1 except for a pod and 3" cat back. Im looking to do the car up a bit and am wanting to put in the following and would like some advice: ecu - not sure what type but looking at a a powerfc, they seem pretty well respected. upgraded turbo - dunno which one to get, nothing huge, but enough to give the car some pull boost controller - i like the look of the electronic ones but dunno which ones are descent enough to stop spiking if i get it fuel pump - from what ive read and learnt the bosch ones are good injectors - dunno which ones to get bov - Is there a real need for an expencive one front mount cooler - there are too many to choose from Please, im new to all this and have done a lot of reading but nothing really has helped, just made me more confused. Any feedback at all would be appreciated. If ive missed anything that i should put in before what ive written, please let me know.
