  10. Nah they chose not to publish it as they have "supported us in previous years and its old news" I wrote up the article and gave them high quality images and nothing, they said that if we could do something original then they would be a part of it, but they have had enough cruises to sink a ship... They also suggested their readers have heard enough about skylines... Zoom subscriber for years now... Its an educational read...
  11. Spotted wrxkilla's old car on Creek Rd today at lunch time... (Plates are 84 ZLR arent they???) That thing sounds like an air eating, ground stomping, dust burning beast... He even put his foot down as i put my window down, so i heard every bit....
  12. There is a lesson in this for all of us, to check the tyre out before purchase. Meaning have a good look at the inside of the tyre before they put it on a rim, as its easier to see any repairs, If there has been repairs then just check that they are in the flat treaded area and not in the side wall or the sholder of the tyre... Side wall punctures are very dangerous to repair and are a no-no in the tyre industry... Thanks for sharing Lee, it has enlighten myself and many others im sure...
  13. Yeah it works a charm... The ID-III and the I-Color are the same unit, just the color is a newer nicer looking unit... But ill taker you guys for a spin on a tuesday noght dinner soon and show you how it works...
  14. Hate to rain on your parade But Italy is full of moped's... Fuel is like $3.00 a litre AUD on a good week... More Ferrari's are exported to USA than sold in all of Europe... Speaking of laws, A mate hit a goat in Italy and the police made him pay for the boys goat, then the police would not let him take the goat after paying for it... He suspects it was a scam, as the following day the same boy, goat and police officer were doing the same thing with another tourist... Not too many countries as good as Australia... "Eat lamb this Australia day"
  15. You could use an SBC ID -III like mine and stage the boost... So its like 12psi at 3700rpm and then it ramps up toe 18psi at say 4500rpm... So set the gain really low so it ramps up to 18psi over a 400-500rpm gap...
  16. Ill let you know how it goes on the dyno on the 3rd of Feb...
  17. Moved into "Wanted to buy"
  18. Free reving in the drive way up to 5000rpm last night got me 1.3psi so ill wait til its on the dyno before i run out and order the smaller housing... Im in the hunt for an oil cooler at the moment as im gonna need it i reckon...
  19. Yeah im considering buying the .63 and bolting it up as im worried im only gonna make boost at like 4500rpm with the 0.82 with out cams, but i have advanced the exhaust cam with a cam gear to help hit it a bit sooner...
  20. Oh yeah I have a smile from ear to ear, It is going to go "HARD" Ive just got a little work to do before driving it (on old fuel maps, throughing fuel out the back in huge black clouds ) but its Nays Birthday today so im banned from the Garage for today... Yeah im quite supprised it started straight away and idled quite well... I had to rebuild the CAS with new bearings and make a jig to break open the sealed unit, I was told to buy a referb unit and forget trying to replace the bearings but Nays dad got to work on it and 2 hours later after much head scratching it had new bearings in it... So yeah i was quite supprised as to how well it ran after not being started in almost 2 months and with half an engine rebuild...
  21. I know Flaxton & Montville quite well... You are very lucky some of those drop offs are HUGE... Plus with no barrier is most areas makes it even more dangerous... Lucky!!! Some of those corners in the 80 zone have a suggested speed of 60 and they should be more like 30... Quite a dangerous road really...
  22. Go easy on me Dave, I was trying to say Grey area. I have to say most of my spelling errors are due to my mind going one way while im typing and something comes out that has nothing to do with the topic on hand... Most of the time its cause I have 60 windows open and im trying to respond to many different posts... So who else is in for STEAK... Where and when is this RC drifting Anna???
  23. Defective how??? Not questioning you Lee just wondering what was wrong with them so I can look out in future... I mean all i look at is how much tread depth is left and that the side walls are not weak and floppy...
  24. I dont really know what they look like in a stagea, as I am one of the 10% of skyline owner who thinks a stagea is a volvo...
