DIY is the golden chicken... If you dont know how to do something, then get friendlly with a Mechanic you can trust... If you dont know any ask on the forum and we can point you in the right direction... Also if you wish to try DIY on your car, post up what you want to do and gather advice from everyone before making a choice... Buying a car, post up on the forums and you will get like 5 members or users to help check it out for you... Thats whats good about SAU, its for eveyone and it costs nothing...

Oh yeah, Its heaps louder especially at idle... Much deeper throaty noise... Sounds awsome, ill film it tomorrow and ill finish off the oil catch can and ill try and drive it down the street, see if it makes some boost and hope nothing pops off... Ive been told to replace my oil feed line, from the $150 braided and speedflow fitted unit to a PIRTEK crimped and tig'ed joint worth $220... But im a little peeved about spending the money already on the braided one... But if its going to cause a fire i guess i better... Oh and the wastegate sounds awsome even though its plumbed back its still loud... You can hear it shut closed when you lift off, and the turbo rolls down for a minute after you shut it down and thats just at idle... Talk about an awsome engineered turbine, im gonna time how long it takes to run down about a 5000rpm shut off... I reckon the afternoon session would suit our members better to be honest Paul, as most dont have oil coolers so the shorter circuits would be far easier on the cars... Id be happy with either session but i think the shorter tracks will be benificial to the majority... Plus the members would have plenty of time to get there for a afternoon start, even a special SAU breifing for the new comers to trackday... I will help out for the other half a day for ya Paul, and will help out with any extra SAU help needed...

Im not going to get into the which is best or worst... Its simple, find a job. Get the name of the suburb and them look for a place near where you work... Simple... I work mostlly on the northside and that where my family is at so therefore I live on the northside... Personally i think Sunshine coast has better waves than the Goldcoast and far more communities to visit. (Noosa, Maroochydore, Coolum, Calundra, Kawana, Pelican Waters) Tip tho, the city is on the north side of the river, so if you want to work in the city move northside cause as soon as there is an accident or a bridge closure your screwed... So on that basis Northside FTW... Down side tho is the average flat, town house, house and land are all higher average cost than the southside...

Maby so, but there was a court case 18 months ago about a guy fined for undue noise for having a BOV. His defence was that trucks and buses with air brakes have air bleed valves which operate at much higher pressures and hence emmit more noise... The judge agreed with the Police that a BOV is distracting to others however he could not be fined for undue noise unless the officer wanted to fine all busses and trucks for the same thing... So technically an officer could fine you for dangerous driving, as the dangerous driving act has a clause about distracting other drivers... But i dont think it would hold up in court, as most peoples thoughts on dangerous driving means that the driver was speeding excessivlly and driving like a idiot. So the dangerous driving tag would probablly get over thrown also...
