You will need to replace that 90 degre bend as i have had the same issues...
I have also found that the chinese manifold ok to around the 280-300rwkw area but anything more than that and they will crack and bend. The stainless is just not strong enough to hold anymore heat...
Also you want to insulate your down pipe from the back of the turbo with heat tape to aviod affecting you air conditioning pipe work...
Other than that, she looks great...
He says leave it standard until it needs replacement...
Then he said 1mm would be fine to maintain street driving... This way it keeps the comp ratio up and maintains low and mid range torque... He said you shoudl only go to a 1.6-1.8mm head gasket if your a horse power hero who wants big dyno figures and little to no streetable driving...
So in short...
1-1.2 mm for mild tunes (street driven)
1.4 for big turbos with low bottom end and fat mid range (track and high hp street use)
1.6-1.8mm for hp heros (drag and dyno)
You need to be a member of a cams affiliated club to aquire a cams licience...
I was a members of the hold drivers club of australia for 3 years when i was doing targa events in the BMW. I never had a holden but i was a member just for the ability to get a cams licience. My membership and licience expired early this year to be honest.
I only ever used the licience at Noosa Hill climbs and at Targa Tasmania (3 years entered).
Cost was if i remember correctlly about $320 for the actuall licience training and testing. You must be a member for an affliated club tho to maintain the licience. I let mine expire cause i never really used it. Plus this year was my last targa tasmania due to costs. This year cost us just over 11 grand to get there and back and compete.
If you interested Dave you may want to join SAU VIC club as they are cams affiliated... You can maintain you qld membership also, just use VIC to get the licience and maintain it...
To actually get your licicence just contact vic club execs and or cams directlly.
Cheers Col

OK the results are in...
As you guys can see the events section has been re-instated with little fuss and the moderation team and admin are happy with its use.
We are now re-introducing the area specific chat threads.
However let this be crystal clear.
If you are starting a chat thread you MUST copy and paste the first 2 rules to the first post.
Chat thread rules
1. Obey normal forum rules
2. NO BUMPING AT ALL
3. If there are too many I will merge the threads. If i see a Gladstone thread and a rockhampton thread (ie. 100kms apart and both smallish towns) I will merge them, Please use common sence.
Note: Old chat threads will remain closed.

These forums were built for people to ask questions and share answers...
Very construstive advice there Greg, just like the one I just saw in the spotted skyline thread...
Put a resistor in line with the bulb...
Run it in series... About 1 ohm should knock a bit of brightness out of it. Otherwise get a variable pot of lets say 1-5 ohms and then it will be adjustable...
Once again run it in series...
Cost you less than 20 cents for an inline resistor and about $2 for a variable pot...
Cheap as chips...
