  1. ^^ Take that advice by all means... but I have personally seen two charges with different results based on court location and judge - same charge two different outcomes.. both were heard within 2 weeks of each other also. One was 18 months loss of license and $2K fine, the other 3 years loss of license and $1500 fine. One was Gosford court the other was Hornsby. Identical charges, identical driving records give or take one minor offense.. only difference was the age. One was a p plater and 20 years old and the other was fully licensed and 27 years old.... And the 27 year old at Hornsby court received the 3 year suspension, NOT the P plater... so don't assume you are not going to get a worse penalty. If you have a day off, go to the court house (preferably the one you would end up attending) and sit through a day of hearings (Tuesdays from memory but not quite sure, could be Thursday's? ), take note of the driving offense and the penalty the magistrate hands out... go back and check the minimums and maximums... I would put money on it that they are not all given the minimum sentence relevant to the charge. The magistrate can dish out what ever they want within those guidelines... get a magistrate in an area with alot of high speed fatalities and your sure to cop the higher end of the scale.... if he see's people fighting speeding charges all day, you more than likely should of taken the original penalty. Unfortunately no one can determine with out a doubt that you won't be worse off fighting this in court. This is a decision you would have to make and then cross your fingers that you come out better off. I have heard that fighting the accuracy of the radar/laser is a costly exercise also... pretty sure even if you win, the lawyer representing you is the only real winner!!!! Technicalities can work , don't get me wrong as I have seen it accomplished... but you have to be very lucky to find a cop that has f**ked up procedures to allow you a loop hole to avoid being accountable for the charge. Regardless of everything if you plead not guilty - they are not about to hand your license back whilst fighting the charge. The 6 months will be up before you are finished and in the end you will just have spent more on lawyers than the original fine. Feel free to tell me to shut up... but after personally witnessing this on several occasions... I am a firm believer of copping it on the chin as it ends up being cheaper and easier in the long run. (unless its blatantly obvious you are wrongly charged of course, or there is a blatant procedural error that you know you can win quickly)
  2. I have a R33 Gtst starter motor in Sydney... its the same as the R32... just check my sig link for my parts thread
  3. Try putting some power steer fluid in a cup/container ( anything clear) and adding some brake fluid to see if the fluid stays on top or sinks... The amount you put in is small and if the fluid doesn't sink to the bottom of the container rapidly, then I would just drain the reservoir and refill ... although I would flush the system as a precaution at the first opportunity. If the brake fluid sinks rapidly to the bottom, then I would not drive it until you can flush the system... Although brake fluid is water based .... so theoretically it shouldn't harm too much in terms of rubber hoses... ??? But don't quote me on that... it's just a thought!!
  4. Ah that explains it... We were like ..hmmm.. rude b@stards + 1 Fankyoooooo Sammmeh
  5. The 6 months is a mandatory RTA imposed suspension and is immediate... this is also the minimum that any judge can impose if found guilty of exceeding the speed limit by 45km/h or more. If you elect to go to court, you will then be able to see the in-car footage if you plead not guilty, but not before... as this will be part of their brief of evidence which will need to be sent to yourself/lawyer. They will show this in court only and not before. My other half has great experience with court and fighting fines and RTA stuff ups If you plead guilty you can request to see the footage but more than likely won't get it as you have plead guilty and there is no need for them to provide the evidence. The only reason for pleading guilty would be to reduce the monetary fine as the 6 month suspension is mandatory as per the RTA and also the minimum for this offence which the judge quite often increases anyways. All in all its more than likely that copping the fine and loss of license is in your better interest. If you plead not guilty it ill be at least 6 months later before the matter is finally heard, & more than likely end up with a bigger fine and longer suspension. Especially if the in-car footage shows with out a doubt that you were doing that speed. Then there are the court costs on top as well.... there are only ever a very small percentage of people that go to court and win and whilst this is possible, the outcome is more than likely not going to be favourable. If after all you are certain you were not doing more than 29km over the speed limit (mandatory loss of license limit is 30km/h) and do elect to have it heard in court, definitely ask for a copy of the Fact Sheet from the police prior to entering your plea. This takes around 2 weeks from the date you request it and take it to a traffic lawyer to look over and determine if you have a chance in fighting this prior to entering your plea. Traffic lawyers also know which courts are harder on speeding offences etc
  6. Again PM's replied.... Are school holidays over yet ??? Few serious offers but no deposits as yet... till a deposit is received the car is still for sale ... I will not 'hold' the car 'for a couple of weeks ' either ... well unless it's a NSW club member that I know Cheers Anna

  8. All in all guys it was an awesome day without incident with a great turnout of cars!! Great to meet some new people and catch up with the usual suspects... and to have a good laugh at lunch thanks to Ed and Sheng as well as the infamous garlic bread incident!!!!!!! I can't wait to see the footage as the camera fell away.... I did a massive evade manouvre as I didn't want to run over it!! In hindsight I think the damage was done when it hit the ground but in my mind it went like this "damn camera fell off, must not drive over and break it " ... lol 80L!?!! Damn!! I used 55L all up for 500 odd km's so I am pretty happy with that fuel consumption ... we went back via broke... Wollombi pub .. wisemans/kulnura then a quick trip down Bumblebee Rd (Kulnura to Yarramalong) .... to Tink's house... couldn't be bothered doing old pac home by that stage and slowly headed back on the F3... We were sitting at Wollombi pub as you guys went past... thought you guys would stop after seeing the lines parked on the side of the road ... guessing you guys jumped on old pac at peats ridge to head back to Sydney??
  9. Say $185.. would need to be by pack and send or fastways as I am pretty sure it's too long for Australia Post! Nope, just double checked the part numbers and they are different for the rear. The front is the same I believe though.
  10. PM's replied... No more lowball offers.... any silly offers will not be receiving a reply

I've also been told no more cars till one goes GL though.. very clean example and should not last long at this price!!

Might be it seeing there is only one automotive place in Mt White!! ... but Liz will definitely have his number

  19. I vote Killer wasps too Full boost by 4,000 rpm.... redline is 8,500..making power all the way... to up and over 400rwkw Thats plenty of rev range in my books!!
  20. GT35R - 0.63 rear - exhaust was 3" - 6 boost manifold The dyno sheet is in my post - 345rwkw.. it wanted to make more power but the exhaust said NO... changed turbos as the T04Z power delivery is much more fun annnnnd it was just lying around By Comparison, I had 330rwkw at 15psi on my GT35R.... T04Z is 0.84 rear - exhaust 3.5" and cat free - more in the turbo, just not my fuel set up! EDIT - Sorry only change between turbos was - larger exhaust and more free flowing, and a custom 1" steampipe manifold to avoid some lag (similar to my old 6 boost) . .... rest of setup remained exactly the same
  21. Pickup is Western Sydney - Toongabbie He has the grill at $150 in the first post - so would assume the ashtray and column piece would be around $50 picked up but Il get him to confirm in the morning as he might of discounted for bulk lot. The screws will still be there as it is still attached to the car!
  22. Just tomei 256 in/ex... smallest ones out! I didn't want to go solid lifters as I wanted my car back by that stage! Dave did do a little porting on the head/valves etc but not a great deal. The springs are just tomei Type A's... I picked mine up a while ago for $450 odd new. And no cam gears... I was told the poncams run best on standard as that is how they are designed and tested. Edit: Type A cams need type A springs for optimum result or can use standard to a certain point (a drop in replacement, no mods needed) Type B cams need type B springs for optimum result etc etc... Some I think you have to run the springs, once you get to a certain level then its lifters and everything - well on a 25 head anyways!
