  1. Gotta say that valve springs are a good investment.. valve float is going to be the killer.. Agreed with Shane I made more power on my built 25 (still has the 25 bottom end) with poncams (baby type A's) and Type A springs than dave made on his built 26 with same poncam equivalent and standard springs!! This was on the T04Z thought not the GT35R... same turbo two different cars, and same engine builder! - I stole his turbo whilst he wasn't looking Annnd my fuel setup isn't as sorted as his. He got to 376rwkw before no matter how much boost they dialled in, it just wouldn't make any more power due to the valve float. My Gt35r only had the 0.63 rear and the exhaust was 3" with a metalcat and one muffler - but this ended up being the restriction and I couldn't get past 350rwkw... not sure if the smaller rear had anymore in it though??? This was on 21-22psi too... Can't see why it wouldn't get to near 400rwkw on pump with the right setup
  2. If you don't like the price then make an offer, worst I can say is "NO" All prices are "ono"

  4. Yep thats what Dave just confirmed... mine went in my standard box ages ago!! Detent clip or something like that... the circled item in the nissan fast diagram is the right part you would need to get Dave has just said (32608+B)
  5. perhaps try CP, Arias etc... someone will have some available. I thought ACL did em as they used to have a listing for em. You may have to adjust the size but it will be cheaper than Nissan OEM You have the ring sizes obviously?? Just ring around and see if you can get a match...
  6. Could be interested, can you PM some details please? *Edit* just realised you wouldn't have enough posts yet. Il PM you my phone number.
  7. lol... there you go.... I said I wasn't an expert!! Il check yours out
  8. http://www.my105.com/classified.asp?id=11783 I am certainly no expert (have been looking at buying one hence why I noticed this thread!) but here is a real one on 105.com.... the guages are in a different spot too, but that's not to mean that someone hasn't switched em over though???? I emailed the ebay ad requesting the VIN number to confirm that it is authentic....
  9. yup old central coast car... Emelio was the guy driving (was in my dads TAFE class) and the crash happened out the front of my friends house. We could hear him doing passes for over 30 minutes... there is a bump on the road that causes the car to get air when hit at speed. He kept trying for more air, and well...... he got it and it speared him into the telegraph pole.. The street is over 1km long (straight) at that end of the road... so you can imagine the speed that was achieved. Bad night that one... I do believe the rims were repaired and the sold through the wreckers where the car ended up... no idea where they ended up though...
  10. well we are in Sydney, but wanted to see the condition of the paint on the caliper and the condition of the pistons etc No dramas... Il pass the info along Cheers
  11. Photos? I know someone who will be interested
  12. doesn't get much closer...lol
  13. Done & dusted for another year.... was soooooooooo hoping for a massive off in the fight for third!! A close race is a good race
  14. The GT35 is very linear, almost like a standard turbo in terms of the power delivery .. when it comes on boost it doesn't really throw you in your seat.... but I was running the 0.63 rear on the GT35. The power curves are quite different on the dyno sheets (T04z one will be up early this week) T04z.. is well... fun You can feel it building then at 4,000rpm or just after depending on the gear, its all there and throws you into your seat. At least when it comes on you know it
  15. Good old safety car to mess up everyone's day!! So where is 888 now???
  16. I want pedal cam of how quick he is bringing the pedal back up manually
  17. 0.84 twin entry (TA45 though not T4) Yep twice... first time the gate was creeping as the new manifold was working and the gate couldn't keep up made a lazy 330rwkw on 16 psi and at 6500rpm... lol last time with some gate design changes made over 400rwkw but pulled it back to just under as the injectors and fuel system are at their limit and I wanted some room just incase...
  18. hopefully some biff and barge time coming up.... and more rain!!
  19. The cars all run the same gear... motors are stock, ecu's all have a controlled flash etc...there is no changing of anything, they all must run the same controlled items determined by the series... even tyres.
  20. The crank angle sensor chopper wheel had been tinkered with and was not in the correct position. (apparently - this is still subject to rumour at this stage) All the engines are sealed, only way in is via the sump
  21. lol... they have been gone over... apparently the scruiteneers (sp?) were being very nasty this meet. Their holden utes are under suspicion for the rear toe arm - its adjustable but an OEM adjustable arm. So it's debateable - no fines or exclusions sooooo fingers crossed. Homebush will be interesting to say the least!!
