There's no room to haggle on these cars at the moment anyway, demand outweighs supply by a huge amount so no dealer is going to give you a price reduction. What it stops is dealers marking up over RRP by upping dealer delivery charges, etc. which is what some Toyota dealers have been doing. You only need to look at the phantom cars on Carsales to realise - these cars don't exist, they're getting people to call up and they say "oh sorry, we don't have any GTS. Oh but look, we have a GT, here you can have it for xxx (over retail price) right now." So at least you don't have to deal with any of that bullshit. When I ordered on Saturday it said 12+ months so it's gone up a month on the website. The Subaru dealership itself was quoting a shorter lead time (approx. 9 months) but we'll see. I've put a clause in my contract that I can pull out if the wait extends past 12 months. Just waiting for confirmation of my contract acceptance, hopefully tomorrow!
