Car Cutting Out On Full Throttle.. Pls Help
crofte replied to PSI.33's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Sounds like factory ECU safety settings. Time for a new ECU and tune. PS. Keep the boost at 10 psi if you have the original S2 turbo, the compressor wheel is plastic by the way. -
Want To Buy A Fmic Kit For My R33 Gts-t
crofte replied to blitz r33's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Stock turbo? If so dont bother. Its Lag city. Go R34 cooler. -
Yea i found the old service sticker inside my fuel door. Only problem was they did the 120 000 K's service but the odometer had 85 000 K's on the clock when i picked up the car up. Sticker is dated 4/10/2004.

As stated in HPI No90 10 ways to an 11 second 1/4 time R33 GTST. Stock coil overs, stock turbo, stock injectors, rising rate fuel pressure reg, a well tuned aftermarket EMS, fmic, 3-4" free flowing exhaust split dump, 1 bar boost, 15" Drag radial tyres inflated to 20 psi, strong single plate clutch, 1/4 tank of fuel. Also remove any excess weight from your car like spare tyre, passenger seats, etc. Sounds like a good recipe for 220 rwkw. To get into the 11 second mark with these mods would also need some drag racing experience i would think. As also stated in the mag.

What would be a good injector fuel pump setup for this mild turbo on a RB25? Wanting to run around 1 bar boost with remaped factory ecu eventually. Currently i have the factory ecu. Car is auto and i only want around 220 rwkw for a street car. I have installed a FMIC, 3" PE2 exhaust and split dump, high flow cat. Splitfire coils. Gt2530 turbo. Would 550cc injectors be ok for this turbo? What fuel pump? Please help me out.

Xr6 Turbo Front Mount On R33 Gtst ?
crofte replied to SiR_RB's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Don't bother with the ford cooler! I did, lasted about a day and I decided it looked bloody shit house. Get a blitz. Trust me. The R34 cooler is good enough, unless you have a bigger turbo. No need for a FMIC otherwise. Been their done that. Lag city. don't do it! -
Call Doug from Eastside installs 0402 855 801. Doug installed my mongoose M80S. Top job, good price.

$385 for the unit. Takes about 2 hr to do. Box has lasted so far 3 weeks! still going strong. I think i will get myself a big trans cooler, they are cheep as. Any one know a good size cooler to get? Pipe size? and where is the best place to install it?
-
Not much if you have a factory ecu.
-
After you up size the injectors and fuel pump will the old regulator be up to the task?
-
Does anyone know what a set of Bilstein coilovers for R33 is worth new? Where can i buy them in melbourne? If anyone has a set what are they like?
-
Try using some maniseal on the old turbo flange gasket it should hold fine.
-
Hks do bolt on kits like GT-RS, GT2530 etc. They are all good. Easy to install.
-
Correct. R33 S2 factory turbo has plastic compressor wheel and ceramic generator wheel. Now you have an excuse to get a decent one.

Number 1, make sure the rego checks out with the VIN number at vicroads. If it is stolen you could loose your money.

None taken! if you saw my driveway you would understand.

Is This A Decent 1/4 Mile Time For What It Is?
crofte replied to dineth's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Go with the keas stage 2 shifter for the 4 speed auto. They are well worth it. Cherp, cherp. Shifts are lightning fast.
