  1. you have the right mod first, plenty of power is gained from a good exhaust. i went from 144 to 169rwkw with a split dump pipe, 3" system and 5" cat. thats your best option to start with. them fmic and boost, then next level ecu, injectors, pump, turbo, clutch etc etc...
  2. sorry guys but i know one difference.... one has a turbo and one doesnt...
  3. well im surprised how similar my toyo t1r's 205 compare to my hankook 275. i thought id be sliding all over the place but they hold verywell. also i have noticed that at night with the cold air the rears light up in first when i come on boost. i have a fairly stock car, just turbo back exhaust with 169kw. not sure whats going on cause everyone else is saying that they dont loose traction even with heaps of power.....anyone got any idea what might be affecting it?
  4. hey what is doing for lunch??? someone gonna do a maccas run???
  5. funny u should say that. i work at the office across the road from thornleigh maccas. but sorry i wont be at work at that time on a saturday, not that my boss wouldnt try to get me to.
  6. to add further i ran a 13.4 with a trap speed of 103.5mph, the 10mph difference but only 0.1 sec slower. his car is more powerful showing greater speed but mine was a tidier run, more effective use of power. could be slipping clutch, wheel spin, poor launch, slow gear change, missed gear, bad tune.
  7. to get a 14.1 with 125 kw is pretty impressive, maybe too empressive. did you get it dyno'd at the same place? i have 169 rwkw and with street tyres i have a 13.7 and i have been told that is good. 14.1 is a good time for a skyline, so with the right driving you probably get low 13's
  8. Hey, What happens if we dont make the 40? we just go ahead with a smaller group? That sounds good, more time on the tracks!!!
  9. i have 19"10 and wouldnt go bigger, i have lowered it and it looks very nice, well i think so. any bigger wont look worse, but will be very ruff ride and plenty of scrubbing out...
  10. does someone know someone down at jem? wat kind of work do they do down there?
  11. dont worry too much about wheels/tyres yet. just get down there with any and have a few goes at it. sounds like u have a set up to run low 13's, or even 12's, which will take several attepmts to get perfect. personally id go the lighter stockies, i get average of 13.8 off stockies and 13.9-14.0 on my 19" 275. so they aint too much different.
  12. i didnt even know about this, i would definitely come down. missed out...
  13. Hey, This being the saturday we need to vote....what is everyone going to do? is there a voting place anywhere near oran park? anyone local enough to know??? cause im sure they open at 8am....cutting it close...
  14. go the turbo back....i had 144 rwkw stock and with just a turbo back i got 169 rwkw, an extra 25kw. i got my custom made, twin dump pipe and 5" cat, 3" system. well worth it.
  15. well i saw one with a exhaust, ecu upgrade and boost increase an it ran a 12.8 which is pretty quick....i wish i could race a stock one to see....
  16. cheers....just needed a lil push....couldnt make up my mind.... should be a good day...cant wait!!
  17. also wanting some advise.....dont know what wheels to have for the day. I have a set of stockies with good rubber but only 205, and a set of 19" with 235 on the front and 275 on the rear. the stockies i couldnt care about and would encourage me to find the dry patches to tear it up, but overall have way worse handling and stability. The 19" i dont care about too much more except that they weigh a hell of a lot more, and if it aint going to help with handling im not going to bother......let me know what you guys think...
  18. hey corinne interested in bringing a couple of friends, can we bring spectators?
  19. good luck with it....i'll see u guys out there.... did u end up getting one of each model? 31,32,33,34,35?
  20. I thought this would have filled up a lot quicker then this....should be a really good day. I have just bought me some stockies so I will be having a lot of fun, but was prepared to smash apart my 19x275...
  21. buddy look on here for the part, lower control arm. bought one for $40 from some guy who was wrecking his car. cost me $60 from midas to get it fitted. then $50 for a wheel alignment. All done. Hardest part will be finding the part, but have a look on the for sale section for ppl wrecking their car.
  22. Here is mine in action...
  23. mate go to both.....its only 140 so its a good price. now that u got a 12 u aint interested in anything else......i will have a faster car then u, its my goal. 6 months from now i want to race u. just as long as u dont improve them times....
  24. Thanks guys, I might have a look at it first to see if i can do it, but uni starting soon so that will cut into my spare time. If not i'll ring around, just wanted to get a feel if $400 was too expensive. Thanks!!
