i think that this would be hard to get simple answers as the r32 gtr was the only one on the list to be released in oz! all the others had to be imported. your best bet would be to ask for jp prices at new?

i've got 7.5s on the rear with a 25 offset and theres at least an inch between the rim and shock! non coilover aswell...

good to see some life in these post again!!! asked prank to move the thread to a more fitting area... anymore power into a rb20 than 200rwkw and its time for new injectors and fuel pump..then its upwards and onwards to the 300rwkw mark, at or around that point it'll be time for a new bottom end or replace the bits left!! i'll be looking (over the next 12 months) to get to the 250rwkw mark that'll keep me happy.....HOPE WE LIKE OUR NEW HOME!!! with rims: the R33 N/A skyline has the 4 stud pattern but does anyone know if the if offset is about the same? i've got my hands on a set of volk 16" rims from a r33 at next to nothing $$ wise..

just replaced my diff, went with a second hand one $200 and $100 to get it installed, my machanic has just swapped my old mr30 hatch for a LSD diff for the r31, that'll be some fun...the one he put in to start with is fine, not even a hint of the r31 diff wingh...

i took the old tank out and the float was rusted something shocking so swapped that for the tank in the mr30 which was rust free (brilliant condition for a 22 year old item) plugged it up and still the same problem?? taking it to a sparkie friday week just going to get them to fix it all as this is whats stopping me from getting it on the road list of things to do: fuel pump on all the time when power is on! no signal from ECU for tacho to work! fuel guage not working! and the headlight,indocator and windwiper problem! then its off to the engineer to get the front seats and compliance plate then its time to pick up my new plates....

and through the magic of television.....

hiimmm the plot thickens!! dash guages work somewhat, hooked the boost guage up to run with the rb20, fuel has a mind of its own level marker goes all the way to the top then dissapears (even changed the tank) temp works fine with the rb, and the last one is the oil psi ?? and that moves but i dont know if its correct or not.. my dash clock was working but has since been unplugged, what i'll do is take of all the faces,plug anything thats not plugged in in and see if that helps? if all else fails then its a job for the sparkie...thanks for your help...the sh%tie part is these things worked befor i took the car to the sparkie to wire up the engine, he said he disconected something because the lights stayed on?? now there nolonger in business??

i think theres a bloke here (v8skylineman) with that same set up? its 77' model hes now on the gold coast.. love what your doing shame they never released the 2door non hatch over here!! there was one non hatch replicia for sale here in OZ through this site about 10 months ago! wanted close to $23000 it was gunmetal grey/silver with the black watanarbes, sooo tempting....http://www.j-garage.com/nissan/skyline/200...000gtr.html.htm good luck with everything...

no no just the one r30 now, its just my problem is with the headlights, indocators and wipers they dont work!! i've changed the control unit twice, nothing, so the next step is the relays? which should be the same for all r30 models??

was the place you went to recomended by your insurance company or did you go there and pass on the quote?(with the front bits you were getting fixed in the first place)

cheap to some can be $5 to $5000, and cheap can cost more in the long run, basics are the best,air induction,leads,plugs,extractors,exhaust or maybe handling shocks,springs, sway bars even a good set of tyres can make a world of difference! it all will cost $$$

i'm on the gold coast and am interested $100 bucks and i'll pick them up??

a few bits of info that has stuck in my mind over the last few races: for a v8, to compere, it would have to produce something like 2500hp, one of the lesser teams has just finished a new wind tunel and has since been able to improve there overall lap times by something like 0.5 to 1 second.. no increace in hp its all how well it'll carry the speed in and out of the corners....

is there any chance of you taking pics of the relays you were playing with as mine are rooted?? i think and would rather do a trial and error process then take it to electrican! cheers Matt... or even if someone can get me the # for the relays as i carnt even read those?

they looked about the size as the turbo on my rb20! set up was one on top of each other, has anyone seen the latest HPI DVD with the sr20 twin turbo s13, like that set up. the sh%t part is the pics are thumbnail size (stupid phone keeps going to the small resi pics).

went on a cruise with some of the r31 boys yesterday (brilliant day) another story that, we ended up at the sunshine coast, two hours highway driving from home, we got seperated so 4 of us ended up at maccas car park and would you believe it that black 2door that i sore at the gold coast pulled into the car park!! get this its a hr30 2door but it runs (get this) a twin turbo fj20, i've got pics but no credit on my phone to get them, full nisno set up, springs, shocks and LSD centre. he said it was a nissan workshop car for a while hence the set up.

perfect timing as it gives me just enough time to finish my car, well done guys, i'll spread the word about the event to others aswell....

went to ROLIN imports today looking for a new ECU for the rb20 and i asked about a DR30 rear end, if they had one, the bloke said he sold one last week $1000, then he told me he has a DR30 rs half/cut !! fj20et with 117000kms all panels for the iron mask (silver) no lights though, so if anyone knows of someone looking its $2500 with the bonnet, but i'd be interested in chipping in $$$ for the front rotors and callipars to keep the cost down..

was driving home this morning from a mates place and saw an all black hr30 2door driving the other way, big ass fmic taking up the whole front centre, sounded rotoraryish big on lumpy noise, turned around to try to flag him down but lost him?? so looks like these another 2door r30 on the coast, about bloody time...just have to track him down...
