  1. i have a manual for the mr30 which is an auto, the other thing is i have the fuse cover for it but its in japanese?? the english version for the mr30 states its an inhibitor relay for the auto mr30 thats why i had to ask as the 2door is and was a manual, in short what your saying is that its nothing to worry about? i'm doing a trial and error to see why the lights and indicaters are not working, will be replacing the indicator stalk tommorrow as i think this is the problem!! thanks anyway ghostrider!
  2. need a little help, you know the fuses! there is a relay at the bottom left that i'm missing, the very bottom left as you look down (all by itself). i have no referance to work from to replace it so i'm asking if someone could post any details from thier cars to help me replace it!! Cheers.matt...
  3. try rezzs' web site for freight cost as they are as good as it gets and for rims it would be quite pricey
  4. i've seen the grill your talking of ghostrider and there very nice, i think jaustech had a hr30 coupe with the grill in question and an rb20det for sale for $12000. it looks like the one on the r31 s3 siloette i think?? view attachment!!
  5. are these measurements taken as just the tyre, from the very most inside to the very most outside, or when the tyre is on the rim?? that puts a new light on the profile side of things, Cheers. just to put another spin on it if i was to go for 225 on the rear and 215 on the front 60 both ends the profile would be different (to the smallest degree).
  6. i've just put an rb20det into my car,the rewiring used the small plug next to the one your talking of its been connected to the ignition try this: http://www.rb20det.com/eccscomponentparts.html
  7. thanks for the replys, my concern is the 15" rims and the 60mm profile tryes i'll be using as i'm currently using 15"s and hate the 205x 60mm falkens on there, i have throught of going to 50mm profile but every one says i'll lose speed!
  8. as the title states i'm looking for help in picking new tryes? i'll be running 15"x 7& 7 1/2" and are thinking 215x 60 but what would be the best brand?? the local jaxs place i use for most of this stuff wants to put falkens on it! could anyone recommend any other brands for good street responce? cheers.matt...
  9. i have a grill from a 82 mr30 its charcol and sliver in good nic! towards the interior, mines red on black with a creamie/blue roof trim??? will be changing the roof trim to the trim from the 5door. the dash is black/charcol...
  10. i think the last of these i read the vote went to one that was't listed hence i'll add my PERSONAL fav as well, DR30...
  11. yeah its my car, pics taken around three months ago in the parking area of my units!
  12. from what i can gather from all the info here is that the dr30 rears will fit to the r30 irs! and the same goes with the dr fronts as long as you use the right assembly,in both cases! excessive upgrading may be a waste of time and money!!
  13. mostly suspension stuff but there seems to be even better info on this here now! if you do a google aus search you can get a few sites but most are for sale sites or small write up in larger stories, any info i've found is years old and has'nt been updated in the last few years at least!! http://www.jaustech.com.au/general.htm http://homepages.tig.com.au/~robs/kevspage.htm these are the only sites in english that i got any info from, the rest are japanese and when translated make even less sence!!!
  14. are you talking on this site (photo gallery) or outside, as a few sites have been started but theres no great sorce of info out there but if you have the time to go back through this thread you may be able to get some great mod info!! i'd also be up for starting a photo gallery here through get us all somewhere to put pics!!
  15. what i gather its for nfs fans of all types, i've only looked at one area which seems to be for the pc users who build thier own cars to race?? www.nfscars.net
  16. just through in the night pic as it looked cool, is the side skirt you posted the jenesis one?
  17. get this, i posted ages ago about my diff and what the diff was doing??? after a week of f#$king around with it, i find out its the hand brake thats the problem, the passenger side cable has been crushed and when you put it on it stays on so while driving i've had the rear brake on, doh, so now she goes alot harder!!
  18. a mate at work told me about the need for speed forum the other day as someone there has created a dr30 to race in the pc version but found this as well. onyone know the side skirts at all?
  19. i gave up after last weekend and added 400 to my budget for a 5" tacho with shift light, that is alot more cost effective than trucking the car to a auto sparkie to fix it! looks better too! i will look into it though thanks..
  20. as soon as i read this i pictured twin exhausts sticking out the rear of a r30 :headspin:
  21. asked the same ? got no responce, you may have more trouble than me as the fj being a four would have a different signal to the rb, i've got to a point where i've done a transplant from my 5door dash of the tacho as its a 6cyl version but no good, i fixed my speedo the same way but no go with the tacho!
  22. theres that new back pressure valve, it works from around the final muffler and at normal driving you get low flow and when you put your foot down it opens right up to get max flow, just think of running a 3.5"-4" system with a nice quiet sound till you put the foot down!!
  23. hybrid do a kit for the gtst for around $450, i've the problem of no kit is a perfect fit so have had quotes from $300 to $1000 so look for what way you want the piping to run get pics from web and ask around! try www.powerdigger.com just to give you an idea.
  24. didnt get to use it on the r30 but did test drive a r31 gts-x with the same system and you can tell the difference with cornering! if you don't have it then the front insert should bolt right up to the existing tops!
  25. the rear should be fine as there not inserts but bolt ins, if any thing they may be slightly shorter, if you look at your centre console just up from the shifter there would be a switch to select hard or soft front shock settings!
