    japanese car clubs

    as you tell i own a not so common skyline, all the web sites i've looked at for japanese clubs are just that japanese, when i e-mail them for info i either get no responce or something that carnt be translated?? can anyone point people in the right direction to get people intouch with japanese clubs?

  3. when i bought my car it had 151,000 on the clock no engine though, the new engine had 48,000 on the clock, my car will be 20 next year?
  4. funny thing this as i was just talking to a mate last night about this, i've been to a few tint places here on the coast and they all have lets say 10 different shades on display the problem is only the lightest three shades are legal???, got prices on the darkest legal tint (not as dark as you may think) and for the same 3M tint the price range from 200 to 280 that included the removel of the old tint though, this is in QLD so may be different in your state!

  7. Ok,did you follow the guide you got with the boost gate as i bought one today/24/12/03 and have read the guide today and it states start from 0, there are things to cross out?

Ok there are people out there how will have no shame in telling you there rwhp/rwkw but who is willing to put there money where there mouth is on an even playing field! what say we start a thread that can even the odds as we all know that say a rb20? will have less power than a rb25? PRANK is there a way we could state our power to weight figures say in classes. anyone with a rb20/rb25/rb26/rb30 or is there to many problems. lets say RB20DET 1157kg/161kw.....
  9. there are things to remember when increasing boost, its all good to play around with boost levels, but if the ecu is set for X amount of boost then X amount is the best. don't get me wrong the l20et turbo is not runnig a ceramic shaft so boost can go, but if theres no fuel theres no fuel, did you take a boost reading to start with?

  11. sky031- i posted in the r31 club (rsxrb20det) about a pintara TRX that i saw here on the coast as i was very interested in the body kit for that, its sweet, also on REZZs' k's garage site there are some great updates, would love the r31 bonate (car'nt spell for shit), but over a grand then shipping is a little out of my budget for now!!

  13. chu_rulz- this is a mission, engine alone will set you back from $6500, then you need a rb25 gearbox to run it in rear wheel drive only about $2000/guesstament, drive shaft, diff $??, fuel pump $450, gtr fmic and custom piping $1500, a serious brake upgrade lets say $3-4000 custom job, new 3" exhaust dump pipe back $1500, good syspension may be tag on another $1000+ to the brake upgrade as these two may go hand in hand and don't forget unless your doing all this your self you'll be paying someone to do it for you$$$ lifes a bitch! In the long run if you do it all right the first time you'll have one of the fastest cars, after just a ecu mod or swap, in the skyline family! have you got the latest zoom with the r31 on the cover, if not i'll scan it and pm it to you as the r31 has done a rb26 swap!

  17. who was that bloke from hong kong, with the dr who was putting, or had a 26 in his, think we lost his post with all that info before! i'd say cram is the word, i've got like 1 1/2" gap between the radiator and fan and about 1/2" at the firewall!!
  18. could you post up a pic of the car from the outside so we could see the contrast of outside and inside to make a fear call, something like front panel,door and interior
  19. stu- yeah i tent to look at the philasofical side of things after a few jds', just getting close to the final few things to do to get her finished, boost guage is working still no tacho and the lights will be rewired, then the intercooler is put in place, then off to get a new exhaust and the piping for the intercooler, then its the ecu and single stage boost controller and last but not least new tint now when all thats done its finished to a point where it will be my daily driver. as you can see its never finished thats the shity part, just time and money!! one thing is shes a lot closer than when i first bought her! i wont sell, at least till these things are done and its registered, or when i can import a 89 gtr for like $10,000 p.s. i've been offered $12,000 as is about 2 months ago from a bloke who saw it at the machanics very very tempting!!
  20. with the hotwheels r34 i just bought both the black nismo and the white one as well from k-mart for 34 each they also had a supra and honda aswell, very fast and furious

  22. specking of interchangability (thats a hell of a word) i was sitting outside today, recovering from last night, looking at the bits and peices of r30s' in the car port and this idea came to me, would the head from the l20et work with the block for the l24e?? you see i have both an l20et and a 5door l24e just sitting there so might look at a head conversion as i have the turbo, dump pipe, manifold and turbo head doing nothing, any one have any throughts on this or advice??
  23. i have been thinking of the splitfire coils as something for the future only due to past experence with there products, i also use their performance v plugs in my rb20det and their leads and plugs in my rb30e in both cases i've had no problems and produced more power, from what you guys have said i'll keep my standard coil packs and just use good plugs!
  24. i was talking about taking time tracing wires back to your ecu (which i asume is the r31 eccs). sorry dude. try e-mailing this bloke [email protected] he sent me a english version r32 wiring diagram after i got no help from nissan aus!
