  1. OH BOY..... I stuffed up bad!!! I thought we were coming to Adelaide this weekend..... but it's not until JULY!!! I was just thinking ....."after the expo, at the end of the month" WRONG EXPO & WRONG MONTH!!! So sorry guys, I'll have to catch up with a couple of you when we are there, and get your stickers to you.... Might be a good excuse for a local run eh! oh well, we are going to Bunbury for the weekend instead, and gonna see Tommy Emmanuel in concert on Sunday. And I'm taking the Stag..... otherwise I would be having serious withdrawal symptoms..... and it seemed like a shame to waste all that careful packing....
  2. Off to Adelaide at 2am... Stickers printed!! Looking fwd to seeing all you guy's on Sunday.
  3. Exactly the same as the originals. 150 x 50 approx.
  4. Hmmm, I trust that Stagea's are close enough to Skylines that no-one would mind us tagging along. Can't seem to get any numbers for Stagea meets these days.
  5. S'OK, we are able to use our friends car for the whole run. So we'll tag along at the back....in the Camry!! That way we can stay at Victor Harbour if we want. See you guys there..... anyone want more Stagea Stickers?
  6. 8:45am sounds a bit more civilised!! OK, who's going to volunteer to give us lift to the meet point? I can borrow a car, but I don't know what they'd think if I left it in a car park all day! I guess Taxi's an option......
  7. A few photos of the run. We will almost definitely stay there again, Awesome food, and good hospitality. Next time I am taking a heater!! (and earplugs). Top Spot though! I'll post some more photos as soon as I find the camera lead.... phone photos for now. Sean and Loretta, enjoying a drink! Ray and Iolanda play pool, Karen looking on. Anna and Andre, warming up in morning, with Loretta's special coffee, (Spoilt!).
  8. So has anyone booked direct and is coming that I don't know about?? If so please make yourself known, so that I can account for extra maps. Thanks
  9. OK I just looked it up on Google Earth..... about 18km's from your meet point!! anyone coming through the city... and can detour to Flinders Park... bloody hell that's an early start!! Oh well I know what happens if you hang around too long, you never get going. lucky I am an early riser, (so let me see that's about 4am WA time that I have to get up in the morning!!!) My missus might take a bit of convincing! ha ha.... It'll just give us more to talk about !!
  10. thanks for that.... I'd do the same I guess! I am staying at a friends house in Flinders Park. Not sure how that is in relation to where you guys are meeting though....
  11. Hey guys, it just so happens that my wife and I will be in Adelaide on that weekend. I've been telling her for years that we should go and have a look around. Only there for the Friday, Sat, Sun and Monday. I haven't been there since 1994!! She's never been. So if someone want's to offer us a ride...... well I'd love to get to show her Victor Harbour and meet some of you guys, and have a beer! I would be also very happy to print up some more Stagea Stickers, and some pennants and bring them along! Any offers?
  12. Meet 10am at South Street Murdoch Park n' Ride Leaving at 10:30. DON'T BE LATE.... CB's could be good. See You there!
  13. $19500 is about right for tidy manual, 'specially in yellow. There really aren't too many in the rarer colours. Pleanty in silver and white. Don't go any lower if you can hang on, it is worth this sort of money. To import a good manual these days you are still looking at the same sort of dosh, on the road. Good luck with it.
  14. Only one long weekend and one short week until we go South.... I also think that we may stop on the way home at the Peel Zoo. We'll start looking at the weather soon.... This should be a memorable weekend.... I also have the spectator details for the experts cup.... on as we pass through Collie. These will be given out on the day.
  15. There may be a room left, I'll ring the pub in the morning, and find out. ThenI'll PM you. Sorry didn't look at post for a few days, thought that all interest was spent! Cheers To those that are coming along, I mentioned stopping in Collie in the afternoon. Now we have a better reason! The experts cup, part of Rally WA, is on. So should be worth a look. I'll get more details and post them up.
  16. I did this to my series 2 awhile ago. A bit of searching on ebay (USA) got me 2 bits of Unicorn bling. Got a disc laser cut, and carefully placed them on and pour self-leveling badge resin over them. Of course I own a sign company, so some of the stuff I had. Lots of people gave it the thumbs up though.
  17. If anyone else is thinking of coming along, HURRY. Only 2 rooms left! Definitely 6th & 7th June. Leaving at 10am.
  18. Just so everyone realises.. I have booked 5 rooms for the following people. Sean & Loretta Steve & Amanda Andrei & Anna, (& Anton) John & Iolanda. Ray & Karen (Mustang owners and all round nice people) If you have also booked..... LET ME KNOW... so I can ring the hotel. Otherwise.....PM ME so that we can get some money form you! Thanks
  19. Hi Sean, Yeah mate! very much a goer..... I have thrown it open to the Skylines and Club motivate, so now out of about 400 readings we have 4 cars.... I'll leave you to read into that whatever you like. So far........... Sean & Loretta Steve & Amanda Andrei & Anna, (& Anton) John & Iolanda. Funny eh... I thought Stagea People liked to cruise? Oh well!
  20. Aw, pity Tim. You were the only bachelor!! Now what is the barmaid going to do? I think that you should raid your piggy bank (or get your girlfriend to pay).
  21. Sorry to be giving bad news but the main thing that is going to hold the smell is the aircon condensor and fan. I don't know if you can get into it, but you should be able to. I used to sell chemicals. The best cleaner for cigarette smoke residue is a detergent type cleaner with butyl cellosolve in it, most proprietry interior cleaners have it in, Swipe does. Once you have smelt it you will never forget it. It isn't unpleasant. If you can get into it, you can try spraying some into that area. I'd wipe as much as possible away first. Use a white rag, then you post up photos of all the filth and shit that you find on the Quit website..... I once did a test for Ansett on the airconditioning system in their aircraft at Perth Airport. The shit that was stuck in the fans was like tar and stunk of cigarettes, (they should have used this for an advert)! Once the fans were soaked in the cleaner for a while it dissolved. It is also fantastic at removing that yucky build up that you get on most interiors from general dirt, (steering wheels etc). If you use it on vinyl you won't believe how good it is. Don't over use it......look it up on google and you will find that it is actually a neurotoxin..... mind you if you bought a smokers car, then your brain wasn't working that well anyway!! ha ha (sorry but I just had to!!) Anyone notice that the steering wheel in the Stagea doesn't get dirty like say the turn indicator...... it has an anti-bacterial coating treatment, so does the gear shift knob!!!
  22. I put this up on the Stagea Discussion 2 weeks ago, but there aren't many takers. So please anyone who is social, likes good company and great roads, please feel free to register your interest. Rooms at the hotel need to be pre-paid. Please go to http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/So...un-t265797.html The hotel has 13 rooms so far 4 are taken. More info and link in the thread. The date is really set at 6th & 7th June, so you may as well ignore the poll, but you can take if you want! The route is Murdoch park & ride, morning meet at about 10am (Sat 6th). Cruise to Manduarah, Australind (lunch), Bunbury, Collie Quindanning (overnight). Then Sunday Dwellingup, Pinjarra (lunch) and cruise home. It won't be a race..... so people who are keen to drive over the speed limits are encouraged to go to a racetrack instead. However there are some very nice roads where you can stretch your cars legs.

    Triptronic

I don't understand why you would want to change the direction of the gear shift around. I felt that it was so logiacal to pullback to change down. Mainly because when driving a manual it is usually the downshift to 2nd that is the largest movement. Pull back more acceleration.... push forward slower acceleration. I can get where you are coming form but I for one, would leave mine exactly how it is. I drove a Falcon with tiptronic which is opposite to the Stagea, and I hated it. Each to their own I guess. I really only use mine for downshifting into corners. Although I will say that on the race track, the tiptronic isn't as good. At first I thought that it was better, but once I gained enough confidence to be going a lot faster I found that the Auto is perfectly good enough to be in control It was when I wasn't pushing it hard enough that I had probelms of the auto hunting and changing when I didn't want it to. The change on the Auto can never be beaten by the tiptronic. Once the car is driven hard enough to get the 4wd active mots of the time, then it is a very different experience. I also have to say that I did it once got used ot it, and realised what a great car they are. But I wouldn't drive it like that again. It isn't a sports car, so don't pretend that it is.
  24. ROFLMAO :laughing-smiley-014: "but iam in to footy"....... now that's the understatement of the Century!!! Yeah Charlie, I would have made it on a "bye" weekend (or is that a "bi")... but really I thought August was a tad too far, and the weather may not be as good....... but then you just never know. Anyway plenty of other cruises....
