Hey Elle, if you turn up at the cruise start you'll find plenty of Stageas without clicking relays. I had one a few weeks ago............. i just couldn't work out where it was coming from, I was try to fix my lights, and was half sitting on the sill, but I had my fat ass against the electric seat control, it was a minimum low height, and was clicking cos it was overloaded!!

Well just so that you all know, The map is set, and hopefully no-one will get lost.... if you do it won't be the fault of the instructions!! I have added the aforementioned quiz, it's about 30 questions, every other one is either on Perth, or Stagea's..... some are fairly tough.... so now you know why we are called the SWAT.... he he! Pretty good prizes for the winners (and for the people that don't get so many right). There may also be a couple of spot prizes for ..... well wait and see!! Looking forward to a fun day, with lots of smiles!! Just don't do any rain dances..... And really Shane it isn't that hard to install a stereo..... besides you have Friday and Saturday..... Cheers Guys -

The weather forecast for Sunday isn't looking so good, with showers predicted. This means that we may have to change the BBQ idea. I think that it would be good if we had a "Plan B" for this. Does anyone know of anywhere that is sheltered that we could go. There is a cafe in the Synergy parkland, and I'm guessing that if it isn't really busy then maybe that'd do. Or maybe somewhere in Perth city. Maybe we just play it by ear..... the weather guys are wrong a lot of the time! I am not going to change anything other than the BBQ (maybe) so just come as you were, and we'll sort it out on the day, I guess. The maps are finished, and so is the quiz.... I am planning some prizes, small ones for fun only (sorry no weekends away!). If anyone wants to donate a prize or get their work, or company do the same, then even better. Feel free to put up ideas on this, please. -
Spotted Red S1 in Ikea car park, (Osborne Park WA). Left a sticker on it, then spoke to the female driver. Told her about next weeks run. Car had STAGEA number plates in red. Used to be in Canning vale (over a year ago).

Looking forward to all your positive input! (If you don't have anything nice to say, you know how it goes...) biggrin.gif Problem with that Luke is if all you want is accolades..... well you will never find out how it can be better! Conservative Criticism..... The site seems VERY SLOW to load, and you have mis-spelled aspirated. Apart from that, it looks pretty good. Well done. Love the table idea for the specs very easy to see. It would be better if the "proper" model code was in there though, ie 20X, 20G, 25TXFour etc. It's a little misleading as is. Keep up the work..... remember photos need to be small for quick loading. The header seemed to take forever!! (actually about 3 mins). I am using firefox, windows XP, and ADSL. Can't wait to see the S2 Stuff. I have some spreadsheets of the S2 model specs and options. Happy to email them if you want. Cheers -

Bumpity...... new info in 1st post. -
Something else that I noticed on this Blue Pearl one, is a different badge on the rear...... or has someone done some "customising" by splitting the ordinary badge up, 'cos it kinda looks like this one is sporting an Infinity badge too. I can't get the photo any larger.

1 Feb 2008, 06:08 AM Post #62 Rank: RB25DET ***** Posts: 662 Joined: 15th July, 2003 Trader Rating : 4 Just another update for all following this thread. Unfortunately I am unable to comitt my self to an exact date of completion in relation to successful testing to ADR79/00. As I have previously said, there are to many variables to be able to give an exact time frame. I also need to inform you that the test facility which has been conducting the emissions test (VIPAC ENGINEERS) are currently in the process of establishing their new facility at Port Melbourne and are unable to continue testing until the facility is comissioned. The indication I have received from the test facility is approximately the beginning of April before they can recommence testing for any of their clients. I have contacted Orbital in Perth and they have informed me that they can not conduct any additional work due to their current work load. I have contacted Ford Motor Company to see if they can assist us in testing vehicles however they have not yet got back to me on the issue. This leaves us in an unfortunate position. I can appreciate your frustration however as you can see the situation is out of my control. Once again I would like to thank the caring import broker who has cut and run like a mongrel dog. Where to now guys? Muz You posted this up on your "Other" thread on 1st Feb.... while I understand you situation and Frustration, making up a new thread wasn't really necessary. Except that you now get lots of sympathy from everyone that hasn't seen the full story. As far as I can see your complier is doing all that they can. So to answer your question of "Where to now".... wait some more, if you want your car complied. That is all that you can do. It isn't in their hands. Don't think that I don't care Murray BTW. I have phoned your complier twice with suggestions about getting your car to meet ADR79/00. So even though you might think that no one cares, we all do. Fire up the original thread though so that you get both sides..... not just yours.

Thinking Of A Stagea ( Talk Me Into It :))

1 Dayz is a body kit version... not much else is different... Oh yeah you get a badge! 2 The Nav unit, (i am guessing that's what you are talking about) is not much use. But do a search on Xanavi on this section, you will find that some guys have fitted digital TV tuners to them. The actual navigation system in Japan is vastly different. 3 This is just personal preference..... do a search, you find all the opinions. Personally I think that the Auto is fine, even without a shift kit. Don't know about Melbourne, fitters I am sure there are many. 4 Most servicing is fairly easy and this forum has nearly all you need to know to DIY. Parts are available.... check on here. 5 No they don't, it wasn't and option. Fit an aftermarket one.... I have one, $640 fitted, money well spent IMO. If you are really keen to learn..... then learn how to do a search first....it saves so much of OUR time. Welcome to the forum. regards John -

Yes will definitely be happening. Just planning the map this week. Will be a day run, probably meet at City West... 1pm Sunday 27th April. I had an expo last weekend so that sucked up 3 days! (plus planning and moving out!!). I'll keep you posted.... -
Just did mine, loose contacts on the bayonet. Small screwdriver fixed it. I don't understand how you can activate the brake switch while pressing on the brake pedal!! By all accounts you should have a squashed finger!

Well in todays auction (13600 cars total) of 3020 cars, of all those (not just Nissan's) from 1998 - 2000, 836 of them were under 60.000kms. So the percentage is much higher than here. Of course they could have ALL had there ECU's tapped..... doubt it though. If you don't want to trust the auction system, then keep buying from the low grade cars that appear in your mail box each day. Mostly these have already been through the auction, or the dealer wont send them to auction because they know that they won't get much for them. Me, I'll trust the guys I know, and a brilliant system that makes ours look like rubbish. As far as the S2 manuals go though. It all depends on the condition, see if you can find the auction sheet, (ASK for it). Most dealers won't let you see it, cos then the sale price can be found out, and therefore their profit. All I can say Mike is that if you couldn't find any with less than 20-25k per year, you were looking in the wrong place. Just FYI, out of 8 Stagea's (1998 - 2000) in the auction, 8 were under 76,000kms and 5 of those you could import into Aus, the lowest a 1998 with 41k . That's only on average 5- 10,000km per year. Which is more the norm for Japan. Just a snapshot of one day and one model.
-
Wow, I was amazed to find this out..... I have never even heard of Blue Pearl... But after searching the auctions saw this..... And sure enough the Auction sheet lists it as BP9..... love to see one in the flesh.... unfortunately this one is non-turbo, so wont be heading our way.

There is no reason to doubt the km's unless you are a doubter, and there are lots of those on this site. Most of the cars, (but certainly not all) don't get to do anywhere near the km's we do here. An awful lot of cars sit in garages most of their life. 60,000 is actually fairly average for the model, and year. A black S2 manual, will always command a high price. At action they tend to sell at about $8,000 - $10,000 on average. One sold this month for US$13,400.... but it only had 17,000kms and was rated 4A... which is pretty exceptional. You would expect this to be like a new car. Hence the high price. If you bought one for $11,000 in Japan it is going to cost you about $20,000 on the road. It will hold it's price, but obviously if you get for less, then good for you. Any Stagea that is in VGC, and is different will always get more money. BTW you will never get leather in an original manual car, it wasn't an option. They have there own cloth, unique to the RS4S. It is very similar to the RS260 interior, but not the same.
-
Hmmm Interesting, what do these figures relate to? Is this the number complied in Aus? Or are these the total Prime Editions? I'd be interested to know. Also can you put you hands on the total production figures, and maybe for each type. That's be great. BTW where are you located.... not much info in you Avatar. Thanks

Just make sure that the next one isn't occupied by a couple of cops!! -
I'll Probably come down with Chuckie...... can't believe the last meet point.... I could walk home from there!! It's very kid friendly too though. What sort of time do you envisage being at Manning lake? It's actually off Hamilton Road. Behind Dalmatinac Soccer club. My Mrs will probably join us there if not too late. See map.
-
Yeah damn pity but I gotta miss it this year... Still we got to make all the stickers!!! Just as well I did such a good job on the signwriting on the road at the start last year.... it still there!! We are stuck at the Construction & Mining Expo all weekend........ have fun, and post up plenty of pics.

On the contrary... my dear fellow... Not even your comments would Dale!!! haha. Luckily it is still a free world!! Hey Brad... cool buddy.... now that is a tough video.... and one tough car. I ain't no hater, just that it looks heaps better on the bitumen than on the grass, and actually moves faster too!. I think that it is great that there are people that do these type of mods. Even if I wouldn't go there myself. This is the best I have seen it run.... and anyway, if I stirred it up a bit, previously... does it matter, it wasn't meant to be personal. BTW, One of the Holden guys came over to me when you were out there, and asked me all about it..... Went something like this.... What's it got in it.... ? An RB26.... What's that... 2.6 litre, twin turbo and about 550hp.... Holy Shit... I aint ever heard a car sound like that.... Another Commodore owner that just had his eyes opened! Cheers guys -
Well it's actually an RS Prime, 2wd wrongly advertised as an RS4. I have now written to the dealer and pointed this out so that some poor unsuspecting buyer, doesn't wonder why it breaks away on the rear so easy! Oh and the interior.... exactly the same as mine.... a Prime edition. Leather & Wood...... but it OK, 'cos I love it.

Hi Guys Since getting my Bayside Blue S2 a year ago, I have been somewhat amazed that there aren't any others in WA. At least not that i know of. As far as i can estimate there are only 4 in Australia!! I'd be interested to know how many there really are..... They certainly don't come up that often in Auctions in Japan either. It kinda defies logic to think that Nissan offered the colour as an option and hardly anyone took it up. If you are listing ..... please put up your model type..... I know there is one RS4S on here, which is super rare, and one or two RS's. I think that there is an RS for sale in SA. So lets start the head count. Mine RS4V 2000 Prime edition. Cheers John
