  1. I think that the only thing that you can do is hope that he is true to his word and he refunds the money...... Otherwise, consumer affairs, Police, etc. Technically you have a contract, but unless you like parting with 1000's of dollars in lawyers fees I'd advise you to forget that avenue. Good luck.......... next time pick a reputable importer. If this was a private sale......... not much that you can do, 'cept hope!
  2. Hey Guys There was once this thing invented called a calender.... it so that people didn't miss events.... it has not only days of the week, but DATES!! You should try using it sometime then everyone would know when the hell Tomorrow and Tonight actually is!! This cruise sounds like it's already been....I think? If ZXY's cruise "tonight" is a new cruise, then it really should have a new post. (with the date) ta!
  3. Thanks for posting up the photos. Looks like you had a good time. Gotta luv that 400R, and those arches on the R35!! One day.............
  4. I did a Google Translation........... the colour translation for my car is priceless!! BEISAIDOBURU (M) (Bayside Blue) LMAO
  5. And here's a couple of others, the Ute is now for sale, at least it looks that way!! Price 198万円 1,980,000 yen 年式 Year 平成9年式 Ceremony 1997 車検 Inspection 無し No 走行距離 Mileage ???Km ??? 6. Obviously it not nice to down-cry someone as K1NGTR did. You have right to disagree with the price he's asking..... but just do by not buying it. I say Good Luck with the sale. S2's (like every car) are worth what someone will pay.... But benchmark is around $16 - $18...... but you can always come down!! What amazes me is that a bunky old Commodore or Falcon will sell at a higher price and they really are a 2nd rate car. If we had cars like te Stagea in Australia from New, Holden and Ford wouldn't even be manufacturing, cos the only way that they can compete is to sell crap and have the Govt keep out the good cars. Even Nissan have the same problem here, I own a Maxima too, top of the range, same clicks as my Stag and only paid $8000 for it....!!! Far Far better than a Falcadore. Try piling all the extras that you get on Stag S2 into a Falcon and see what you'd have to shell out then. Stags are muchly under-priced for what you get. But the reality is that the Market will dictate the value. I hope that you get a good price for yours. Cheers, John
  7. Fanx Dale, I meant to post the link, but didn't want to put up a multi-god-knows- how-many digit link. The Tommy Kaira models are all high performance modified with a few interior mods. Usually de-badged and given a new name. http://caldermotor.co.uk/car/dealer/scotla...SSAN_97TKR.html Other link.
  8. Amazing what you find on ebay..... only cost about $4000 to get here, and then compliance............ Super rare though, I've not seen or heard of one B4. Drool...........
  9. At Last! now I know what my car would look like in Paris!!
  10. How you say it depends on where you come from! If you want to stay true to the original pronunciation then it should be said SA TA GE A, because these are Japanese syllables. I have even seen it spelt this way in auction listings!! Somewhere on you tube there is the original Japanese advert, you can hear it said on there. It certainly isn't STAY JA.... thats the Aussie slang kicking in!
  11. Hi Juggler.... A lot of this is subjective, but mostly it is going to hinge on a few things, like.... How much do you want to spend? Is a warranty important to you? Do you care about a car retaining it's value? Are you prepared to pay higher fuel costs? (because the Stageas are a tad thirsty). How will you go for insurance. As for safety........ I doubt that there are many safer cars. The construction is awesome. PM me and I'll send you a pic or 2 of a Stagea that hit a power pole at about 160k/ph, the owner walked away. (actually he ran). The cars are brilliant, it all depends on the above. Where in Perth are you? You may like to come and have a look over mine. BTW my wife drives it mainly and loves it too. Cheers John
  12. Yep... no comparison between a Japanese Hearse and a Swedish Taxi.
  13. All your comments show is a huge lack of understanding of the austion system in Japan. You wont buy that car here for less. The closest that is on sale is a Bayside blue RS4V in Qld for $17000 it is stock about the same km's no kit, no wheels, no mods at all. So I reckon to add $3-4000 for that lot. The Auction houses have no vested interest in grading cars higher than they are. ALL the faults are written down. If Andy was smart, bought a good car, high grade and was prepared to the extra, (which it seems that he was) then I defy anyone to get a better deal here. Also the fact that this car went through the auction system twice, shows that it is worth the money because the owner wasn't going to let it go easily. I am also sure that Andy wasn't the only bidder. So in the end that is exactly how the market price is acheived. I do have a vested interest in talking it up..... I also have a Bayside blue one, when you consider that only about 6% of series 2's were ever painted in Bayside Blue, that makes it worth more...... so you really can't compare them with the silver and white ones..... If you want Blue, be prepared to pay more.
  14. Noice, pick-up buddy! had mine for 15months now.... still luvin it! Can't go past Bayside blue. Looks like an after market kit. Good to have the km's that low. Now the awful wait begins...... who ya going to for compliance? I think that I saw this a few weeks ago. Bluey's don't come up very often. whadya pay? I would have thought about 1 mill. PM me if you don't want to post that here. Cheers John
  15. Well done Brad.... isn't there any way that you can return it to AWD. That'd get rid of most of the wheelspin factor. Don't you think that the Transfer box would take it? Or do you think that it would sap that much power that it isn't worth it? Pity, I was nearly gonna go down there on Sunday.......... just didn't happen, but if I'd known that you were running, I would have been there.
  16. Stickers posted to Micah yesterday. Now you can bother him!!
  17. Hi Guys Sorry I missed posting the stickers.... I'll send them off this week. It'll give you a reason to meet up again!
  18. Yep... +1, prolly a good way to work out things for the cruise / or whatever next.
  19. Hey James I think that having another cruise and ending up at your place for Pizza is a top idea. How do you think we'll go for parking?? Have you any idea how you'd like to run it...... happy to help mate. Oh, and Graham so glad that you enjoyed it all. It's a bit tough tryiing to find your way and answer questions on paper. At least you had a go though. Sorry we only had prizes to fourth. Next time. maybe we'll have to think of some other way of competing. AHG sounds OK but I think that we'd have buckley's. Still we could approach someone else. (maybe a private company with a large carpark? Maybe start a new thread for ideas for the next run/cruise.
  20. Hey Guys If one of you PM's me their address, I'll send over some of the SWAT stickers...... with the Gyoushu on it..... I have about 10 already printed.
  21. So has AND, (Andrei) in the same set of photos. His car is a 25TX Four.... so it's the way it came. All you can do is advertise on the forum, see if anyone is wrecking one (NZ is more likely). Or go back to your contact in Japan, (if you have one) and ask them to get you one, I think that any of the G, and X series have them.
  22. Now it's a p1ss weak excuse! if you could drive to work today, how come you couldn't have chucked the passenger seat back in and come out yesterday. If you had you would have missed all the rain, we did, not one 'brolly reqd. Next time we'll try to give you more notice!!! Shamus, you missed out on a really good day. I hope everyone enjoyed the map and the quiz. I enjoyed making them and getting and giving the prizes. Steve and Mandy won the 1st prize.... (T-shirt) Leroy and Penny won 2nd (flask) I guess that I should say that Supercheap in Melville donated the socket set (3rd prize), which was won by Daniel and Dale. The best all-around answer for "I love my Stagea because?" was from Graham..... "cos everything else sucks!" Thanks guys for all the photo's and supporting the day, just a pity that a few more didn't make it..... still I think that it rated well. Rebold Hill look out was something.........talk about take over the car park! Looking forward to the next one..... hopefully I helped to "lift the bar" a little. A bit more organisation, (and help) and we could have had much better prizes. So I am going to offer my help to whoever wants to do the next one. I reckon that I can get a few good prizes out of people if we try hard. I once did a combined car club quiz night, and we had prizes for the top 16 tables!! First prize was a weekend for 6 in Albany, including the fuel to get there!! 2nd a weekend for 2 in Perth. Something like that might a few more turner-uppers!!
  23. Oh well the latest forecast on the weather is: some showers, possible thunderstorm!! Don't let this put you off. We are bringing a couple of very large garden umbrellas, and some rope to tie them down! if anyone wants to bring a tarp and ropes... be my guest. The maps will be given out at Burswood. Just a note on the quiz.... The quiz is written to keep pace with the cruise. Some questions will need to be answered as you go by certain points, (or at least these points remembered, if you are on your own). All of the Stagea questions can be answered at any time. I accidentally repeated one question, but you won't get double points for answering it twice! There is a 1st prize, so no conferring at meet points, you can go through it all at the end. Everyone will get something, just for showing up. So, looking forward to seeing all the old faces and new ones...... See you there. John
  24. Yeah the 3rd Stagea is just out of shot..... it is sign written FRO Hearse!! (in case the 1st two fail)!!!
