  1. yea, it was on the sau's home screen yesterday
  2. Till you jack the car up and find that the rear subframe is cracked and not covered under warranty...or the fact that the FCAB on the 3 series are made of marshmellows and you get seasick driving the car on highways
  3. mate..your stock springs & shocks are built with 1 purpose...comfort. if you find these ride harsh...you can buy ebay or coilovers worth thousands...and they will all ride harsher even on the softest settings. with regards to noise... the firmer coilovers do tend to accentuate road noise and some upper pillowballs do tend to give a clunk sound on slow turns and bump...like when ur turning up onto your car driveway.
  4. black smoke is usually the car running rich, so hardly think it's blocked injectors i'm no mechanic, but i'd start with the basic ...MAF, Timing, CAS also check the spark plugs to identify any problems in any cylinders. a misfire in 1 cyl in a v6 is hardly noticable could be a very slight seepage of engine oil to one spark plug causing weak sparking or unburnt fuel
  5. so does your car flash the blue light when ur idling for more than 10secs??? My car has a blue flashing led...but it doesn't go off at all unless I turn the car off and activate the immobiliser? maybe a good idea to bring it to an electrician and just make sure they have the stuff wired correctly, because if you're idling and it starts flashing...then that is illegal and the cop had all the right to pull u over and defect ur car. most cops are decent ppl and only tend to give u a hard time if you try to become a smart ar5e and get lippy.
  6. wonder if this has detrimental effects for an auto. on early morning starts...i prefer to drive at low rpms until i reach operating temps. this sounds like it'll be harder to drive that way
  7. gotta love mechanics who without even knowing the current state of tune can optimistically say 20kws gain
  8. redbook is quite accurate on private sale prices. You almost never get redbook for trade in....and worse when your buying from a dealer.
  9. really depends on what parts can still be salvaged from the wreck. worse case you bring it to a wrecking yard and walk away with a fifty.
  10. suggest that you ask this question on the G35driver.com forums, there's a lot more cars running s/c and tt setups there ...so you don't get the typical textbook response.
  11. http://waxit.com.au/products.asp?cat=29 it wont reduce brake dust...u need low dust ceramic brake pads for that, but it will make cleaning easier.
  12. i use plasti-x or something to that effect...from meguairs. Note of caution - do as the instructions says and apply to small areas at a time rubbing it well it. Do not apply to the whole light at once and expect to get it all off. I did and ended up having to claybar the shit off before attempting small sections at a time oh and what he said ^^ it only seems like its fogging on the inside because you cant get the oxidisation off even when lightly scraping it with your nail....but try the plastic polish first.
  13. yea i recognise the car from the g35driver forums. was going to get his orange ce28n wheels but postage to perth was ridiculous. fedex and usps have doubled shipping rates since the gfc good choice on kit...i luv the greddy front and sides, tho im not too keen on the rears. maybe a kenstyle or a chargespeed for the rears.
  14. hey Steve, interested to see how your car looks with the new bumper & sides. maybe u cud post some pics up btw, can u pm me details on where u got the bumpers fitted n painted...price, workmanship quality...etc.
  15. can't make it...just returned from an o/seas trip and spent most of this morning in the BRW tri's ...next sunday is family day for me.
  16. if you do decide on splitting the mods, let me know how much you want for the jp visage lip and the Advan AVS
  17. personally prefer the look of vinyl stickers too. printed ones tend to look like souvenir shop bumper stickers
  18. liking this, but maybe drop club and just hv australia
  19. hey Victor, yea ...looking at some subtle changes..nothing too drastic or expensive.
  20. a new Vq35 would probably hold the cars resale value better. Any other engine mods will cost you more in terms of custom parts and wiring.
  21. i looked at the ones on Ebay. The more expensive one was on projector type headlights...so not sure if they'll obscure the light on the standard halogen reflectors and the cheaper one had 1/3 of the drivelight covered. yea the iconic ones are more popular, just dont like them for some reason. each to their own i guess
  22. yes those ones. is there a business in Oz or the US that sells those?
  23. anyone know where i can get the front headlight eyelids for the V i'm not keen on the ionic type....prefer the ones that make the lights like the porsche 996
  24. jump on the 350z-tech forums and check the ozzie classifieds
  25. wow didnt realise there were that many tensioners to replace guess it'll be just a matter of taking out the belts and then spinning the tensioners to see if they need replacing. just thought it would be a good idea to do them all at once with the belts to save labour cost. thks for the info Rianto
