  1. How hard is it to respray yourself a side skirt? The corner at the parking station was a bit too tight.... Or does anyone know approximately how much smash repairers charge? What a bummer of the day...
  2. I hope mine are installed properly. Lol. I didn't do it myself, took it to the mechanic. Watched them do it. Looked like they were doing the right thing. They calibrated the handbrake, or they say. My pads are standard nissan ones (don't ask me why). So fingers crossed that when I change to other ones it will work fine. Right now, I am trying to convince myself that the extra noise when driving (which is hardly noticeable unless driving against a wall) and braking (a bit louder) is because of the grooves and dimples, lol.
  3. Whatever you do, just don't get really low profile tyres... lol. It is a pain, from spotting when the tyre is punctured to scraping the outer rim due to tight roundabouts or what not raises on the ground.
  4. The pads were only 1.5k old. So didn't replace them. Yeah, I am not too worried about the noise. The car still breaks, though at first pretty weakly as if half of the breaks are only working. After some hard stops, it breaks perfect though. I am thinking maybe because the grooved and dimpled RDAs need some temp to work... However, still have to really look into it. Only noticed recently (had them on for about a month - maybe just getting used to their stopping performance, though they still work better after couple of mild/hard goes on them...). I spend a lot of my time going through tunnels these days, so yeah, notice these things.
  5. I had that problem. Just get the ECU fixed up. Apparently they also made it run 15% better, cos it wasn't running well either.
  6. So I had my RDA discs installed - grooved and dimpled. Hmmmmm. Now I have some rubbing noise as if every time the wheel turns, it clips something... Can't figure out what it is. And you can only really hear it when you are in a tunnel. Can also hear in a tunnel how I break, can hear the pads rub against the discs. Weird.
  7. Fitted my rotors and they are beautiful!!! Thank you!
  8. Received my beautiful looking rotors! Can't wait to have them installed! Thank you!
  9. Don't know how it drives, but I sure do want a raunchier exhaust system... Even though it will beat most cars, in the progress it won't be as fun as listening to engine sounds such as that of a ferrari, lambo, maserati, aston, porsche, bmw, audi etc. Even HSVs and FPVs sound raunchier. And yes, I know you can fit an aftermarket exhaust system, but after spending 160k on a car, one would think twice spending more money on it.
  10. It would be good if they did some research in the last section and stopped calling the Skyline 370GT a Skyline G37... They have even managed to call the G37 sedan a G35.
  11. Saw the silver car yesterday, or a copy of it, and it looked awesome with the rims!
  12. Hopefully I will be coming. Depends how ready I will be for the assessments that will be coming up.
  13. How crucial are new brake pads? I've changed mine about 6k ago. Just trying to minimise the costs...
  14. I am thinking of getting the RDA rotors from the group buy. The front discs need changes, as loads of it is warn out. I say like 6mm at least... Pretty bad, lol. Is it hard to fit the RDA rotors? As in, are they bigger than the original thus I need more than just the rotors to fit them in? From my novice knowledge, I will need adaptors to put bigger rotors in. Can someone give me a brief rundown of the parts I'll need to fit if I'll go with the RDA? Cheers
  15. Love it! That's the sort of thing I want to put on my car.
  16. The rest of the trip was pretty good. No dramas. My thoughts go out to the biker who collided with a car...
  17. Mine can...... bummer....
  18. I should be coming!
  19. It's an open invitation. So yeah, come!
  20. I am thinking of coming. How long does the whole trip take?
  21. For sure. MU Secret had their v35 there. Yeah, I think most of the cars got pulled over. I avoided it due to being lost in the beginning haha.
  22. That's the freeway you enter from pacific hway to central coast, yeah? (Sorry, not really familiar with road names or suburb names, just know the direction to steer, lol) That would be me. I first went the opposite way from Homebush, following people that were going home it seems, haha.
  23. It was a great turn out and a great cruise, even though I've lost everyone and trusted the GPS, haha. However, loosing everyone and wanting to go to bathroom made me avoid police pulling over everyone (passed like 4/5 civics at the start, and then turned off at mooney mooney where at the entry to the highway everyone got pulled over, and at least 50 cars I say).
