  1. I've had excellent experiences with police. They have always been nice to me and I've always respected them. I know there are a few out there that abuse their power, but its like some car 'enthusiasts' ruining everyone's reputation. My great police experiences are of them finding I didn't have a rear P plate on my car (during double demerits) and allowing me to place a spare one and letting me off. I remember another incident where Ive arrived later with a different P-plate at the rear. As I figured it out, the officer at the RBT set up must have placed one because I must've lost mine. So overall, I think 95% (and from my experience 100%) of police are very fair and just do the tasks and even more for the society.
  2. I've witnessed people stealing P plates. Or rather, saw them take it off from one car and put it on the nest... Ridiculous... They wouldn't be laughing if it was done to them.
  3. Sounds like an appeal as irrelevant factors were taken into account.
  4. Sounds like time for an official complaint to have the officer's conduct investigated. If supported by the witness' testimony, the department needs to give you a good explanation for the conduct of it's officer.
  5. Looks like I am stuck with one key due to lack of codes...
  6. What does 'engineered' actually involve? My novice perception was that they just check if its road safe and meets the regulations...
  7. Was thinking about this thread last night when traveling on William st. I wouldn't have minded some police there to tell off all those who were triple parking (and the street is 3 lanes) to chat to their mates in ridiculously dropped cars that would just go off the road because they don't have any rebound rates. Makes responsible majority of car enthusiasts look bad, making police and society automatically assume anyone with a modified car is like them... Anyways, that's my rant for the day, lol.
  8. Videos worked for me. Enjoyed it. Big thank you.
  9. Number plates don't have to be in the middle of the car (unless they have recently changed the regulations). Standard Evos came with number places on their sides. Maybe its make dependent?
  10. Aren't they supposed to have their sirens on if they are checking for speed? Most don't though. I've seen some even standing facing the motorway front on in the middle of the split between an exit from the motorway and the motorway itself. Highly dangerous, as they don't have any lights on or anything.
  11. Thats awesome looking. Would have a higher ride height though. I'm sure it is sitting on airbags...
  12. It shows fuel consumption (instantaneous, average, range and overage over time) It also have maintenance schedule (never use myself) It has a compass These are the main things it has. TV does work, but just not to Australian frequency. You can pick up some audio signal... but no images.
  13. I was there. Saw a few SAU guys. Most of us met up at Auburn beforehand.
  14. Yeah, it was an awesome cruise. I think one of the girls out where cars were coming in at Central Coast was saying something like 1.7k cars turned up. I think maybe thats an exaggeration, but there def were 1k.
  15. Don't think you can sue them. Regarding the defect notices places on parked cars, haven't looked at regulations (its 11:56pm so not in a mood to research), but definitely something to look at to challenge. An argument could be put forward that they were not driven to the event and a tow truck was used (though, due to strict liability offense, evidence of a tow truck use might be needed (receipt or witness being the driver of the tow truck borrowed). Once again, haven't researched the law, but just some ideas.
  16. Where is Krispy Kremes? lol. Im from the east, so not that great with my locations... The map will be my best friend if someone tells me the location, lol.
  17. Yeah! I've typed into whereis, it said 50 min, lol... 100 octane... I only find 98 in places where I fill up. They should have more of 100 octane in eastern suburbs! Not everyone here is stingy and goes for the cost effective... lol Have fun tomorrow.
  18. The meeting point is actually pretty far away for me... lol. So I might save the petrol for the next weekend, for the charity cruise.
  19. This will be my preference on the day. Should be in for sure. Tax deductions receipts will be provided by any chance?
  20. Spotted a white Coupe today (with Xenons) on william st going onto new south head road, following me, but then diverting to double bay. Then on the way to the city, saw a silver Coupe with spoiler in william st going east again.
