Thanks for all the replies! What I tried to do the first time was the right way to fix it, except that I had the track facing the wrong way. The teeth have to face the left side of the car, before I tried it facing the front and the back of the car. Once I had the teeth facing the right way the motor pulled the track back in Now I know to wait for the antenna to go back down before trying to start the car for a second time if the battery is low

I hadn't driven my R33 for a while and went to start her up, she sounded like she was going to purr but then gave up. So i tried again but to no avail. Giving up, I got out the car only to find the antenna/aerial hanging over the side... it must have raised up once and then when i tried to start the car a second time must have tried raising the already raised antenna lol. Rather then leaving it there hanging over the side I took the rest of the antenna out (the whole 5cm of track left in there). Anybody know how to put the antenna back in? Are there any guides on the net (preferrably with pictures) cause I'm not too good at this kind of stuff I tried reattaching it myself by starting the car, putting the track back in as far as it would go and turning the car off (hoping it would retract the rest of the track) but it simply did nothing So for now I'm stuck listening to CDs, which is probably a good thing as the radio is usually terrible! btw I did do a search on the forums but couldnt find anything (especially with people spelling antenna wrong quite often).

lol goodluck! If your under 25 its near impossible to get insurance (in WA atleast) from any company other than JustCar for skylines. JustCar will probably offer a ridiculous excess, but they'll probably be the only company to insure you I hope you get a good quote, and if not, hope you can get a quote from another insurance company! I rung a whole bunch (had a list) and every one i tried had an excuse, dont insure imports, dont insure under 25, etc. Its quite sad really... ended up going with just car insurance third party fire and theft with a fkn ridiculous excess of $2200... my history is a licence cancellation for an excess 0.05 offence and I'm 20. Damn not being able to lie to the insurance companies so they cant discriminate and rip you off!
