  2. Want something for track and drifting. needs to be well modded, in good condition (don't want a shit box that i need to keep fixing), prefer cage, stripped interior, race seat etc. i want something already built thats ready to go.

    i don't mind spending the money but once your afraid of driving the car hard because you don't want anything to break is not my idea of fun. at the top of the list for me is a s14. Reason why iOS that i really like circuit racing but want to try and learn how to drift as well

    i know i sound like a knob but the car already has the ls1 in it and the car is cheap. Ive been traking my GTR for 3 years, going to track day events, now i want to start getting into some competition events. Alot of the cars i have been around, many of the issues are to do with the turbo/intercooler/boost. so my thinking is the less you have, the more reliable its going to be. When i say cheap its all realative i guess. looking around the 10-20 grand.
  7. Looking for a cheap reliable race car. this will be a dedicated race car. what are people opinions about this set up. Im not wanting to be competitive just have fun. Looking to enter hill climbs, super sprints etc. No door to door racing atm. I just sold my r33 GTR and cost me quite a bit in repairs. i Just want to start getting in the sport and not be always worried about breaking the car. My thinking is that if i stay away from forced induction, then there would be less things to go wrong. Less pressure on the motor. with an LS1 its easier to fix. Weight will probably be lighter as well, with loads of torque. with bolt on mods could easily achieve a reliable 400hp. Don't factor in conversion costs of the V8.
  8. Had a lot of enquiries about the oil pump. Oil pump is in perfect condition. removed from engine due to low compression which was caused by a cracked block. No damage was done to block pistons, so no metal fragments have entered the pump even though they are tuff as nails, these pumps are. This go as well as the sump. Items have done less than 10,000kms
  9. Got some parts i want to get rid of 1) 2x z32 afm. Very little use, bought brand new includes plugs. $150 each 2) R33 gtr extended sump with baffles and oil pick up. hi octane racing copy. Diff/sump from a series 3 gtr $800 3) Catch can. Custom catch can. designed to fit where washer bottle is. Has 2 inlets, breather outlet and a drain back as well. also has a clear tube to indicate oil level. $150 4) Apexi Power FC and controller, fitted to my R33 gtr. Tune that is saved on the computer is from JEM for a forged engine with 2530, cam gears. $650 5) Nitto oil pump. Removed from car due to finding a crack in the block and stripped the whole engine down. $500 6) RB26 Rocker covers. Spares left over $280 7) Custom Dump pipe. Lobster tail welds, very good flow. $150 8) Standard rb26 manifold and cross over pipe. $best offer 9) sard 700cc injectors. very little use maybe 10,000 kms if that. Hey guys Im going to sydney motorsport park on the 25 oct. wanting to get some timing done as its practice only with no timing. im leaving it a bit late to buy a timer so im asking if anyone is willing to lend me theirs for a few day. I can leave a deposit if needed. would prefer someone in newcastle. cheers
  11. the one i was referring to was the carbon fiber one. I dont want to spend 1300 on just a lip that will get smashed all the time
  12. anyone know where i can get a series 3 lower lip from. Dont care if its fiberglass. just dont want a lip lower than a series 3 as they are low enough already. Had a jun style plastic one and it was way too low. The ones just jap are selling are they a copy of the series 3 lip?

  14. I think I take out the wooden spoon. My car didn't last more than 5 seconds on the track till I blew 3rd gear. Too much of an eager beaver I think

  17. I feel for you Eric, as i would not ever want this to happen to me or anyone. AS i am preparing my car for track work, so I am worried this could happen to me. Is there a way of stopping these Hi-po cars getting out on the track with us. i know we are split up in groups according to experience and car types, but im driving a $50k car and there are people out there in $5k cars. Last track day i had a heap of fun but i did see this car (commodore i think that was fully track preped) come out in the beginners session and thought to myself who let him on. I can handle it if i crashed the car myself into a wall/barrier but for someone else would stress me out. anyways hope it all turns out well
