  1. hah so true! I was trying to talk my mate into buying that 14k GTR with the dropped valve and putting his RB30DETT in it.. for some stupid reason he prefers it in his commodore? o_0 i must say though, on the strip with slicks there is no wheelspin whatsoever.. just very dangerous to drive on the street His justification was that he couldn't bolt the powerglide up to the 4wd.. then he tried to talk me into buying the engine off him and putting it into my 32 gtst.. I don't think my poor lil 32 would like that too much..
  2. hehe but on the flipside, who want's something that just fries tyres with even a hint of gas pedal.. oh wait.. I DO! <curse my lack of low-down torque>
  3. to make big torque or big power? as horsepower is a function of torque and revs, then yes more revs = more power.. and what exactly is "counter-forged"? do you mean they are forged and counter-balanced?
  4. I assume that means none for R32 RB20's as they are modified R33 RB25 units... had a look on yahoo japan and there's a couple of dozen pfc's on there but all for GTR's
  5. The problem with the RB30 blocks is that unless you spend big dollars on a decent crank, they will explode at around 7500rpm.. my mate has a twinturbo twincam RB30 which he is pulling out to replace with a HKS Rb26/28 stroker.. so he can rev it to 10000rpm
  6. My mate had RAC inspect his R34 GT-T coupe for a guy over east that wanted to buy it.. the RAC guy checked it out and then said in his report that there was "possibly major chassis damage" because the castor was different left to right.. but that's how the suspension people set it up! Needless to say, that dodgy report scared off the buyer and the sale fell through even though it was a completely straight and very clean example of an R34.
  7. As above. Need a standard bov & piping back to the intake. Cheers, Bubbs.
  8. Ingame name: [sPZ] bubbajugs Found: Usually on Internode or EA AU (gheyarena) servers P.S. Aim for the head, 2142 has heavy body armour which BF2 did not. You will find a lot of the smaller calibre rounds just bounce off the armour.. i.e. full clip to the chest point blank nothing happens.. one round to the head BOOM HEADSHOT. P.P.S. I love knifing people
  9. I've got a SARD R2D2 on my car that I would like to replace with a standard bov..
  10. disconnected as in you pulled the plug out? or locked?

    Bovs

you got a permit for your atmo bov?! I thought it was emissions reasons you couldn't vent to atmosphere.. not noise.. if it's noise then I can argue the case for the huge sard thing on my car (came with a permit for aftermarker plumback bov, not atmo) but it's so loud I'm putting a standard one on.. still got your plumback plumbing?
  12. It's predominantly RWD and only engages the front in it's efforts to maintain traction after you mash the pedal. I guess in time you will learn the nuances of your car and be able to predict what it will do. I'm getting there.. coming from driving a RWD rear engined car and a FWD sh!tbox to a turbo RWD with a very light rear end, it's a little isconcerting but a lot of fun! the only thing I really don't like is the HICAS crap which I will be getting rid of soon enough, and maybe the speed sensitive steering.. too light when sideways at low speeds
  13. More info on these non-instructed skidpan days..
  14. You might want to look into how the 4wd system works.. it's not a constant 4wd and I think it actually decreases front torque the harder you're turning (otherwise you would get massive understeer).
  15. Unless you are purposefully taking time out for a quick lawnjob, you shouldn't be mounting any sort of kerb.
  16. The bunky is only there for when the good car is broken And on the topic of getting on the track.. anyone here do any motorkhanas and such? There's a monthly one out at the SpeedDome I've been contemplating.. I too have also previously stated that I am jealous, I worked long and hard to buy my R32 GTSt and it has been a long time coming. I must say I would probably prefer the rear wheel drive goodness.. just means you gotta be on the ball all the time.. hard coilovers + boost at the wrong time = lots of sideways
  17. If you could successfully get the retrofitted fire extinguisher hydrostatically tested, there should be no problem getting people to fill them. If you want I can find the details of the guys we use to get our tanks tested.
  18. You'd think you could get some decent P plate with a car like that but yes.. very nice I HATECHUTOO j/ks
  19. Nice outcome, he was probably getting it ready to sell on ebay..
  20. Generally any pressure vessel has to be hydrostatically tested every 1-3 years depending on the type of vessel and it's contents. Off the top of my head the HPA cylinders I use for paintball have to be tested every 3 years. If they are not in date you will be refused filling.
  21. Or you could just buy a built RB30DETT.. fully built bottom end, 2x GT2540s, complete engine with all the fruit currently making 494rwhp @ 21psi (graphs available), I think he's asking 10k. PM me if anyone is interested Oh and it was tuned by Ant @ Xspeed but sale doesn't include the ECU.
