  1. btw i cant see the cars, i only see text. got a link?
  2. what u getting it for? to drive? or look at?. i would personally go the option 1. simply cause it would be an animal.
  3. well the reason for the 1.5 was to help my standard internals live a bit longer with the new turbo setup
  4. decided on the 87mm in a 1.5. for 1.2-1.4 bar
  5. yea thanks, found what i was lookin for here. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...995&hl=87mm
  6. bump.. I had the same query, and im searching thru the forums now. AFter a headgasket replacement for a RB25DET S1 94'
  7. ahh thanks M!! thats where i was getting confused.!
  8. is ur turbo GT3076R .82ar? when does it come on full boost in 3rd? how would you think it compares to the HKS 3037 equivilant?. do you think a .71 custom gtst housing would be good? im taking the plunge and im stuck on turbo choice, also. cheers,
  9. what about boost duty?. doesnt this allow you to make the turbo work harder or less, to enable users to compensate for old worn out turbos etc or to create a better boost curve? with AVC-R so you could have 1 set to come in early as possible, hit max boost , then taper. have the other duty lower, then later in the rev range - set NE points to induce higher duty with higher limit? could this work?
  10. ??? do you think Master Power turbos are cheap or something? Master Power was founded in 1966 by Nelson Borghetti. Old skool rally cars used their turbos, they are NOt your average chinese copy made in taiwan crap cast turbos. You are mis informed R31nismoid
  11. just out of curiousity, whats the stock measurement? 1.2?
  12. You can successfully set it up with 1 or 2, But as stated, if he was familiar with twin turbos, he could set it up with 1. which wouldve saved you some $$$
  13. very nice, end result is awsome, great work!
  14. is the avc-r boost controll setting still turned on? because realistically, if it is, it should still control the boost going over teh specified level. and is the level of control high or low? ie. 1-5 or 0? did he also run learn gear on the avcr? is learn gear O or X?
  15. hey One of my business partners is an Ex copper, he said that these new proposed laws are silly and himself and other officers will feel the same way, and they will treat them as they do other silly laws they do not agree with, and fail to enforce them after a certain period of time. Of course it depends on the officer him or her self, and if you piss them off or not haha. that is in fact they even do get passed and become enforced at all, which is yet to be confirmed 100% Just thought it was relivant. made me feel alot better
  16. nice cheers guys.
  17. hang on.. what? oh ye.
  18. No Im sorry this is a nieve way to think, if these new laws are true. No matter, WHAT your doing, Who you are, Or what time it is. This may and can happen to you. If they think your car is modded Because its a skyline the copper will pull you over, and use his Wise wisdom in their automotive skills, to tell you your stock exhaust is modified and defect you for it. then 2 years later when your driving your mums, car with led's lights on the squirters on the bonnet, they will take it. Coppers already have too much power to abuse, will just get worse, especially Rookie Ramjet in a bad mood who dont like your attitude because you didnt say "yes sir" and polish his shoes. Joe Blow who works as apprentice will have to take the bus, and pay off the yard fees and towing costs the next 2 months. and you can say bye bye to your car, doesnt matter if its legit or not, your car, your mums car, if its missing the mod plate, and they feel that its illegal or modified in anyway, its gone. Im sure we are all (I know I am) sick of this currupt government and its stupid laws, designed to extort money off working class citizens like ourselves, to give them a bigger revenue for their budget. QLD is turning into a joke, i love cars, and frankly some stock components are crap, and less efficient that aftermarket products, which would help to provide better fuel econemy and make less polution. who ever thought this up was a greedy fat politician after our cars and money, when is enough is enough. what a stupid law to bring out. they are bloody criminals. And we think this is a free country, give me a break. f**kin crooks. If these laws are true, Im seriously considering .. whats WA like this time of year?.
  19. what al said then. nps
  20. put ur hand over ur exhaust when it does this, get the smell on ur hand. and smell it. does it smell like oil? fuel? old skool mechanics my mrs had this civic right, started playing up a bit, blowin a bit of white smoke like this, checked the water for bubbles or oil, checked oil for water, checked comp, checked fuel, it was starting to over heat. everything looked fine., etc. changed thermo stat. etc. then one day.. warp. goes the head. .. was a head gasket, on its way out, just a slight leak and it cooked the head. and didnt give off the usual tell tail signs. only the overheating which was never really bad, only just over half, untill the night it went. I learnt a valuable lesson that night.... im no mechanic. haha don't know how this will help you though. but if i took a guess from what you have said, Depending on the smell of the smoke, i would say turbo or headgasket.
  21. lol ! haha nice one, Id hate to see what you would do with a heavily modified gtst. i mean love!
  22. check ur compression, and get ur clutch checked. thats of course everything else looks ok. that is quite low. something fishy is going on there.
  23. I agree. And to retort on Duncans post. I guess you would get that, if you had some young teen taken to do "advanced driver training" and all that intails is him doing skids on a skidpan and donuts and drifting, then he goes home adicted takes his parents car out. But the suggestion of 'driver training', is not limited to skid pan. If the training program is implemented in a proper professional manner, covering all aspects of car control, and defensive driving, Not JUST SKID PAN. then this would be effective in driver education. Doing just skid pan, acheives nothing in ON Road driver training. It really needs to cover all aspects. And I doubt very much m3 or myself are suggesting this approach.
  24. Hey I got an R33, I dont know if mine is an aniversary or anything dont even know how to check and it dont have gold badges, but mine did come with the above pioneer "Carrozerra" system in it.
