Hey Guys, been flat out with work and trying to get the bastard ready for the track day saturday week. Finally got the motor in today with gearbox but ran into a little hurdle in that the rear of the pleum is hitting the clutch cylinder arrrgggghhhhhhhh. Not keen on sheering the plenum down - any ideas anyone? It actually looks like its getting somewhere again Final gearing, looking at some footage of other cars, 250km/h is about the sort of speed i will be aiming for down the main straight of EC. Did't have a speedo in last car so had no idea what speeds i was doing Mechanic is confident i will not run out of revs - i think he is going to bump up the rev limiter Cheers Steve Some pics of the motor in the car, going in tomoz to finish off the wiring, fuel setup and hopefully pipework !

Wakefield out of gears around EC?? you pulling my leg? time will tell !

Hey guys, yes this the the car that the gorilla supra babysat whilst i found the courage to break it to the mrs that this car is going to be around for good. SLLOOOOOWWWWLLLLYYY proggressing. Didnt realise there was so much shit to do and put back together after you spray a engine bay. Time is of the essence as i need this thing tuned late next week to make the NSW sau track day on the 5th March. I would like to overlap the results of this turbo setup with my mates -5 on a 2.6L and gtrs on a 2.7L Im hoping that the shorter diff ratio with the six speed will make this car much more lively on the track - can anyone comment on this? Heading into the workshop today to try and tinker with it. (It doesnt help when the mechanic is on cloud nine with his mrs and can only think about closing the shop at 6pm everyday LOL )

Hi Guys, always a good read when everyone is so passionate, just my 2 cents worth as i believe im one of those mofo's that Duncan is refering to as i only started doing this last year I am building a dedicated car where i can take out once a month to any trackday (not governed by to many rules and regs) and eventually compete in events such as WTAC. i beleive this is the pinnicle of the high performance imports scene for those who are not motivated to do what you do or purely dont have the time or dedication. i would dare say that supersprints would be next on my agenda, but once again, time resraints, family and work commitments see's this form of racing hard to commit to as well. Just food for thought - Does your form of racing attracts cars from overseas to the calibre of that we only read about in magazines? For both drivers and spectators i think its win win in this form of motorsport that has been existent in Japan for many years, and obviously taking off in America -now it has hit our shores - i think we just pull our finger out on our set ways and embrace it Any form of racing that can generate a competitors list across the 3 classes such as WTAC is a winner in my books. Who gives a fck if ppl want to spend endless amounts of coin on there car, sit back and enjoy the ride! If everybody in the industry is benifiting - bloody great! Steve

Profile on the tyres are 30 series - recommended rim width is 10-11 inch - i thought i would be pretty sweet with a 10.5inch rim. I did run Ad08's last year in 285's and had some scrapage in hard corners. Im running some Korean tyres this time round
-
Hey Jack, i noticed your selling the BBS's - any clearance issues with 285 rubber on your car? or anybody who can answer this i have ordered some 295's Beer Baron - Let me know if your interested in parting with the 25/30's
-
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh .... have a friend with a 2.7L and similar setup i would like to see both cars on the dyno and track then review. This will decide what treatment the spare bottom end gets. Beer Baron - Engine building is done by Chris Abes, not sure what his title is, ex C&B engineer/builder? He has built both motors currently in the Tilton EVO and BSM GTR. All other work done to the car is by Matt @ F&E Autoworks
