Well it seems you can never get one definite answer from people on here lol. Personally, I always say DON'T go the shitter. Buy the Skyline when you can, I got mine when I was 15 (turned 16 the next month when I got my license also) , I've owned it for 2.5 years now (I'm 18) and I don't see myself selling it anytime soon. It was an NA and has plenty of power, but also the looks. I've done 3 drift track days in it and it is the best fun. Get into motorsport the right way, you won't regret it. The cops won't hassle you on the road if your car isn't outrageously modified, and you act sensible. I haven't been pulled over yet! Don't import the car, exchange rates are dead at the moment! Just use the available sources such as the classifieds section on this website, carsales, autotrader (tradingpost), ebay, your local paper occasionaly. -Jimmy.

I waved to 5 skylines today and got no waves back. Felt like a dick. Spotted White R31 GTS1 just after kooragang White R32 4dr near the QUIX at lambton (female driver) 2x White R33 GT-R (one in kotara, one .. i duno somewhere on the way to the airport) Grey R33 GTS-t with painted black stock rims just past the airport (i think you're rad!s on ns.com?) Coilovers is also the best mod I ever did to my NA Skyline, but people may argue that good adjustable sway bars are probably the best Bang for buck suspension mod.

R200 diff from the turbo model should bolt straight in I think? I think there are things to consider like ABS braking but a shimmed up one of them will be plenty enough to get both wheels spinning.

Oh on the topic of Red R33's, there is one going round, usually cardiff/glendale etc with the plates JE-33-SS or JE-55-SS or similar. And where can I get some Skylines Australia stickers?

I usually try waving to most skyline drivers and also S13/4/5's. RARELY get a wave back, but it's cool when I do My brother drives a white R31 and actually gets more waves from R31 drivers than I do at any imports at all.

Spotted a stock looking grey Stagea with roof racks just going past St Pius school (just past Kotara, heading towards Adamstown.

Lol is it the alarm/immobiliser? May sound weird but I had the same problem with my car, heard a little siren/beep coming from the engine bay. Ended up having to disable the alarm sound altogether now.

Think I also spotted this R34 ^^^ Bronzey coloured 5 spoke rims? Had a passenger too. I spotted him on the way back from work.

Ok done I'll test the car in the morning and see if it fixed my problem. I re-soldered all the joints, they were pretty dry and loose to start with.

Still yet to see an R35 in the flesh. I spotted a white R33 GTR near Hamilton today, and also a white R33 GTS25t (i think?) in the Rebel Sports carpark at Charlestown. Looked like it had black rims with a bit of dish, at least 18"s.

Spotted a black R32 GTR with red plates (i think they were like, SM33RY or something) going from Hamilton to past Broadmeadow, followed them for a bit and went next to them as I turned off but they didn't look And spotted a dark blue? or black R33 on Prospect rd in Garden Suburb.

Hey everyone, Recently I have broken my speedo cable and I have read some previous topics about these on the forum, looks like most people buy it new direct from Nissan. The thing is, my car WAS a Skyline GTE, with RB20E and auto. Now it is an RB25DE Manual. Are they all the same size? Reason I ask is because I rang up two times to a Nissan Spare Parts place. The first time I spoke to a guy, he asked for my VIN and Model number. I said I'd have to ring back because I didn't have the Model number with me, called back and got a woman the next time and went to a totally different procedure of trying to find the cable on their system. She just asked if my car was manual and what size engine was it. So I'm assuming I need the one to fit RB25DE manual right? Not the GTE one. Thanks, -Jimmy.
