Hey Everyone. Thought it was time I posted up a topic for my car. Haven't really updated anything since my first introductory thread (see HERE for my introduction post which explains how and why I got the car etc) So it's a 1989 Nissan Skyline GTE, with a manual and RB25DE conversion, along with 5-stud brakes, R200 diff etc. It was purchased in October 2005. A minor thing we did when we first got it was painted and cleaned up the brake calipers. Before After We also got it dyno'd, 115rwkw, pretty reasonable I think. Here is the progress of the Clarion Headunit and Front speakers. These were laying round from my sister's old Daihatsu Applause. No audio came with the car when purchased. Before Previous owner must have made these mounts, personally don't like them. Trying to source stock covers at the moment. After The rim centre's weren't in excellent condition so we decided to get them sandblasted and powdercoated in black. Also got the plates MI11NT, I don't like them anymore so when rego comes up I'm going to get RB25NA I think. And then we did suspension, we put new Polyurethane bushes in the front caster arms and front upper arms, and a few months after that got TEIN super-street coilovers. They're actually on their lowest setting, but I think it's great. Sits nice. Cat up to no good. Another one of the cat And then we got some better speakers for the front + tweeters (Pioneer) and moved the Clarions to the rear. Not a great pic of the speakers but meh. Not much happened for a while, but recently I got a new headunit. No pics of that installed. Also got a Genuine Nismo Steering Wheel and boss kit. I love the old style Nismo Logo. And 2 days ago I got a Genuine Nismo Aluminium Chrome gearknob, however it isn't the type you can buy now, it's a discontinued part and has the old style logo engraved in it. Pics to come. That's about all the progress on my car I guess. My plans now are to get Nismo Cupholder (rare) but just purchased one Side Window visors Fix + Paint front Aero bar and then purchase the matching Aero pods for a full Factory Aero kit. Brand New Nardi Wheel (with Nismo horn button) Mount rear plates at angle (and get RB25NA) Stock door speaker covers and mounts. Vacuum clean interior with one of those powerful chemical ones Buff + polish + wax and all that stuff (easy done, just need to put the effort in haha) Put some new Blue LEDs in the dash cos some of the ones now fell out due to the people putting the alarm system in Thanks for looking at my 4-door R32 Skyline Updates to come hopefully ^.^ -Jimmy.

Hey, does anyone know how to search for the factory options available for each model (such as aero options etc) and how to get the illustrations of them? Thanks, -Jimmy.

For the Newcastle people out there (btw why can't we have our own thread? This one seems very Sydney based. ) Spotted a nice Pearl White R33 4 door out near Wallsend at about 3:30 I guess. I was in a grey R32 4 door at the round-a-bout and my brother was behind me in the white R31 -Jimmy

Holden: The Car Of Choice For Hoons
-Jimmy- replied to bombtrack's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I have to agree with the Commodore thing haha. I would have thought it would be more like 70% of hoons are commodore drivers. I rarely see an import hooning and when I do they probably previously owned a commodore and their car has bad offset, bad wheels and is not a nice car at all -
Nsw: Genuine Nismo Steering Wheel + Boss
-Jimmy- replied to -Jimmy-'s topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
It may sound useless yes, but as a matter of fact I've had at least 3 people already who don't mind about it. I thought it may be hard to sell without it and I wasn't that desperate, however it turns out I had a fair bit of interest. Payment is pending. Will update when officially sold. -Jimmy. -
Hey Everyone, Up for sale I have a Genuine Nismo Steering Wheel with a Genuine Nismo Boss Kit also. It's the most attractive Nismo Wheel I have found (in my opinion). When I wanted it I searched for a long time to find one, so they are somewhat rare also. The condition is good, leather is still excellent all the way round. A nice wheel that stands out from all the Nardis and Momos! It looked great in my R32. I have one picture here, better pics showing the condition will come very soon. The Boss kit is also Genuine Nismo, although there are no markings on it to prove it. I bought it brand new from Yahoo Japan and it came in an authentic Nismo box. One thing, the horn button will not be included. Sorry I'm asking $150 for both (not posted), I'm located in Newcastle and will accept Paypal or Bank Deposit. Thanks, -Jimmy.

So many imports are pronouned different. I won't say 'wrong' because I don't know the right I'll add more. I'll say how I pronounce it and how I've heard it. Laurel - I say, 'Lorel', heard it pronounced 'Lo-rell'. I don't know if I can write it how it's prouned either properly Trueno - I say 'True-noe', heard it pronounced 'True-enno'. Levin - 'Le-vinn', heard it 'Lee-vin' Stagea - I think this is supposed to be 'Stage-ee-a' isn't it...

^^^ Me too... I'm in NSW and need rear bar and sides (vertex) for my 32 4 door.. lol.

R34 Frontcut Be Suitable For R33 Rb25det-rb25det
-Jimmy- replied to gach2's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Mate if you look around people won't be getting 15K for an NA R33. I've seen them for sale for around $8-12k, and they wouldnt be getting the asking price either. Just look around, or buy an R31. -
Just go through the for sale section. I saw a couple of sets ranging from 100-200. I've heard no mods for the rear seats, only like an inch gap either side too, not that noticable apparently though. Good luck.

All 32 Four Door Owners Look Here
-Jimmy- replied to M I K E's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Man these are sweet! Also, kinda off topic but, how do you purchase off Yahoo Japan Auctions if you're in Australia? Do you have your own account or u using a mates? (I was told you needed a Japanese Credit Card) Thanks. -
I agree with what you said about the front bar. I was going to suggest the GTR front bar. Are the rear seats also GTR? Would be curious to see how good they looked .

Yep last DB Mag, there's a topic on NS.com about it, I couldn't follow what people "thought" were happening though. But I read that HPI and DB "might" be bringing out a dedicated drift mag.. so I duno. Can you get a rear lip for 4 door? I'd be curious to see how different/good/bad it looked agaisn't pods/stock bar/aftermarket bar. Once again, nice car, look forward to some vids/pics etc

Eoi: Wrecking R32 Gts-t 4door Manual
-Jimmy- replied to Ray31's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I don't think this guy is replying... Anyway, if you do reply mate post a pic of the exhaust. You say some "jap" exhaust, is that because of a symbol on it? It might be Kakimoto. Do you have the spare space saver wheel also? Thanks. -Jimmy.
