  1. I was thinking the exact same thing at one point there, Roy. Around Winton I'd kill the fronts before the rears and having the mediums up front wouldn't be such a bad idea. My car tends to oversteer also on corner entry so softs out back personally wouldn't have been so bad. I'm not going to find out either way, the other set of D03Gs sold so I decided to get a set of 33 GTR wheels and get new semis altogether.. Question now is what semis
  2. Hi all, I'm after a set of good condition R33 GTR wheels, no cracks, buckles, warps. They don't have to be mint but must not have any defects as previously mentioned. If not R33 GTR wheels, other 17x9 or 17x9.5 wheels are welcome. Offsets must be of +30mm or higher and clear Supra 4 pot brakes (bigger than GTSt calipers). Preferably without tyres as they will not be used unless they're quality semi slicks. I'm located in Melbourne and naturally want a local sale but interstate is fine. Contact can be made here or via PM (preferred). Cheers, Adam
  3. Thanks, Duncan, that's all I needed to hear. I guess I'll look into that option and see how we go. Cheers
  4. Hi all, I'd like a little advice, I've currently got a set of Dunlop 03Gs in their soft compound but have gotten a puncture in one of the tyres. I don't want to be racing with a repair job on them but I do have access to a set of 3 Dunlop 03Gs in their medium compound, one has low tread. Would there be any issues in running a pair of the softs and a pair of the mediums? I was thinking softs for the fronts and mediums for the rear. The 2 sets of tyres are of the same width and diameter, 235/40/18. I race at winton with a jzx100 chaser. Any help is appreciated. Cheers, Adam
  5. Tyres are still here. Feel free to throw offers, nothing ridiculous.
  6. I have finally gotten around to get proper photos of the RSR tyres which are still available. Set of tyres: Tyre 1: Tyre 2: Tyre 2 with some damage from ripple strips. Doesn't cause vibrations, leaks or anything like that. Good working order: Tyre 3: Tyre 4: Each tyre specifications: Each tyre's build date are exactly the same: $400ono.
  7. RE55s are gone. Federal RSRs still available. Perfect for anyone who enjoys a nice spirited drive.
  8. It has been brought to my attention that the set of RE55 tyres are most probably unsafe to be run on track. Damages to the bead (crack and chips) of some of the tyres have been found and for this reason, I am no longer asking $100 for the set but am now GIVING THEM AWAY free of charge. The set of RE55 tyres will be thrown out by the end of the weekend if they haven't found a new home by that time. The set of Federal RSRs are still good to go.
  9. Up for sale are two sets of tyres. Set 1: Federal 595 RSR 'street semi' tyres. They are 225 45 17 all round with a guess of about 60% tread, like below all round. I am after $400 for the set. Set 2: Bridgestone RE55 semi slick tyres. They are 265 35 18 all round and look to be fairly used but should be fit for another track day or two once warmed up properly. I am after $100 for the set. Both sets of tyres are located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. A local sale of the above tyres are most preferred. Contact can be made through this thread or via PM. Thanks
  10. Deposit for the SET of TE37s rims alone have been taken. Four (4) tyres of Federal RS-R 225/45/17 remain. $400ono for the set of tyres.
  11. So having sold my pair of white TE37s and bought a new set of wheels altogether, these can now go. Up for sale is a PAIR of bronze Rays Engineering, Volk Racing TE37s in the size of 17x9 +22. They are currently wrapped in 225/45/17 Federal 595 RS-R 'street semi' tyres with about 60%+ tread. Wheels are in fairly good condition with no buckles, warps or cracks. No major rashes besides a little gash on the one wheel, pics below. The wheels are located in south eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I am asking $1250ono for the pair of wheels WITH tyres. Contact can be made through this thread or PM. Wheel no.1 Wheel no.2 Tyres look like below on both wheels, If anyone's interested, I also have a pair of grey TE37s, real deal, where one is cracked and another is warped. 17x9 +22. Throw offers.. And a pair of 225/45/17 Federal 595 RS-Rs with similar tread as above pictures, $200 Thanks.

    Sau Swap Meet

I remember back in the day over on the AE86DC forums, they ran a swap meet and there was HEAPS of interest but when it actually came down to it, no one bought anything lol Many people brought along parts, from small add on mods, wheels to heads. Sounded like a great idea to begin with but it was a pretty big fail. It may be different with the SAU community and I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a go, but thought I'd throw in my experience.
  13. Are these genuine R33 GTR wheels? Can you prove these wheel's authenticity? Because on closer inspection these seem to be fake. Real stuff, markings around hub. Yours, not to mention how the spokes end. If they're genuine.. cool, but I was notified to be cautious about them.
  14. Jacky, I swapped you a set of 34 GTR wheels for a set of your TEs last year, are you willing to sell without tyres at all? Cheers
  15. Hey mate, Tried PMing you but function must be turned off.. I'm interested in the 33 GTR wheels What was the build date on those R888 tyres? And are you willing to post to Melbourne? Cheers
  16. I've had a few people asking for better quality images of the wheels so here they are. High resolution for you to zoom up on, etc. Please note the close up pictures of the 'rash' is bits in the most severe areas. Wheel 1: Wheel which is the worst of the two. Wheel 2: Edit: They just need a good clean, I haven't had the chance since them arriving.
  17. Up for grabs is a PAIR of genuine Rays Engineering Volk Racing TE37 wheels. White 17x9 +15 wheels with very light rash here and there. No buckles, cracks, warps, etc. Recently purchased from Yahoo Japan but have proven to be too aggressive in terms of offset. Willing to swap for a pair of 17x9 +22 Volk TE37s of any colour with cash adjustments depending on condition. Or.. swap for a pair of other light weight racing wheels, ie. RPF1s plus cash adjustment, RE30, SE37, etc etc.. Wheels being swapped must be 17/18 in diameter, and be 9" or wider with offsets no lower than a +22mm if 9". Wheels are located in Melbourne, swaps must be from a local buyer, postage can be arranged at your expense and more details photos can be taken for interstate buyers. I am after swaps or a straight sale at $990 no tyres.
  18. Hi all, As the title says, I'm after a PAIR of genuine Rays Engineering Volk TE37s in the sizes of 18x10 +40, 18x10.5 +45 or a pair or SINGLE of 17x9 +22. Wheels must not be buckled, cracked, warped.. Light rashes is fine. I am located in Melbourne and naturally prefer a local sale but interstaters are welcome. Contact can be made through this thread or PM, preferred, as this section moves very quickly. Thanks, Adam
  19. I attended the Christmas Tampered day and no sticker or fire extinguisher was needed although I had one installed just in case. I'll see you guys there.
