  1. In that case Type-R pedal would be illegal I suppose, as they are only bare metals with huge holes in it... This is the one that I mean if you never seen on:
  2. Sold my old car for $9.5K plus a $15K loan from parents which I paid off within 1 year with my own salary... (next week is my last payment)
  3. Has anyone got aftermarket pedals and encountered legality problem with cops or RTA/VicRoads etc? Reckon any of these would look nice ? 1. 2. 3.
  4. Standard GTS-t sticker on the boot... Some body stripe that came from Japan I guess (looks a bit dated, but looks a bit hassle to peel off) VicRoads Rego sticker on windscreen :-) Nothing else.... thinking to put white Trust & Apex'i stickers on the red car, but might attract too much attention?
  5. will the rear 17x9 fits GTS-t? Your car is S15, right? do the rears stick out of the guards?
  6. what, after the remote gather all micro lints from your pocket or your bag? c'mon there should be a line between reality and pursue of "transmiter effectiveness"
  7. Actually the person who told me that is a professional alarm installer. I had the same prob parking @ local train station where a hi power line runs above the car park. Alarm won't arm/disarm. Pressing the remote against your chin helps to increase the signal from the remote and it might help to defeat the EF interference. I tried, it worked, and nobody around you will notice you doing that... unless your remote is as big as a house brick and you're doing it for 1/2 hour jumping up n down n shouting madly.
  8. Try this: Press the remote against your chin while pressing the button. It is known fact that human body can act as some kind of an aerial. Doing so will help your remote as it is "using" your whole body as a transmitter. You will notice the range will increase as well.
  9. Why dun you check out this threads? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...=&threadid=3838 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...=&threadid=6330
  10. I use 4.3:1 diff from R33 auto, didn't change it when I convert my car from auto to manual
  11. I wouldn't mind if I'm not doing anything on Friday.....
  12. I don't think there are any diff between n/a & tt supra, only when you look at the engine, or at least look at the dashboard instruments then you'll be able to pick it up. Also the gear patterns. the TT has 6 fwd gears while non turbo only have 5, but can sometimes have 6 if upgraded. The various body kits that ppl put on their supras will also make it even harder to tell, as a tough look supra can turn out to be an n/a, while a very plain looking one could indeed be a twin turbo.
  13. Grants? what the..?
  14. I guess it would be around 6-7psi
  15. There is no way you can make an HKS turbo out of Garrett parts. Garrett supplies the parts for HKS which are different to Garrett retail parts itself. There's an agreement between Garrett & HKS that Garret will never provide those HKS-specific parts to others except HKS alone. Lots of ppl tried and they failed to get the same power out of retail Garrett parts. HPI magz also confirmed this can't be done. Get a genuine HKS one is the only solution. This is the way HKS protects their business.
  16. did you enjoy every second and 1/10th second as you blew into the pipe? listening for that melodious beep sounds that device made.....? I've been breathalized few times, always 0 of course, no big deal, no excitements. Just never drink and drive and you'll be fine.
  17. I thought VIN applies to anywhere (international). but isn't VIN number can always be linked to the chassis/engine no? so even if your car got Oz VIN number, and your car such n such have engine no this and chassis number that, and these two matches the description with a stolen one in Japan, the fed police can still request your car to be seized and returned to the owner.
  18. Too many wine red sky these days... And I won't be draggin ppl off the hoddle st, saw too many times ppl got pulled over there, plus my recent $165 fine near my own house, plus petrol prices that goes over $1, I'm pretty much boosting less these days, unless necessary... Putting a supercharger might give you more torque in low revs, but your car could be a petrol guzzler. Getting a turbo that's not too big could be a solution as they spool up faster. Some elec boost controller can also help spool up turbo faster, but not sure coz I never had one in my car. At least you can stay off boost if you're concern for your petrol. But european cars rarely uses turbo, normally use supercharger. Jap prefers turbo. Kinda of a trend I suppose. My R33 can be considered almost 10 yrs now, but haven't got any problems so far since I had it last yr, except some rattles from the pwr window. Might need to get them tightened up when I have time.
  19. Anyone got defected? Sometimes too much car too much attention, that's why the cops showed up.

    exhausts

Doxx, The guy who bought the Super Dragger off me said he needed two resonators to quieten it down. Otherwise the booming sound is enough to trigger all car alarms when you drive past. So when you bought one, make sure you also get the middle pipe that comes with the resonator, otherwise, trying to fabricate a 3.75" pipe to suit your dragger might not give you the best result as getting the original HKS middle pipe. Putting in resonator might decrease flow, but in terms of HP gain without resonator compared to the amount of cop attention you'll get... is it worth it? Unless you're going for the track all the time, you may not need it. I got Trust system front pipe and cat-back. It seems to me that when I put in front pipe, it is not as loud as cat-back only. Maybe the way the gas flow from small pipe onto the big pipe creates a big noise at the cat before. Now with front pipe in, it may creates that noise right after the dump pipe, and by the time it reaches the back, that noise has been long way supressed in the piping. That's just my theory.... Might worth considering getting a matching front pipe as well.

I won't be wanting to run my car too rich when petrol prices are over $1 these days...
