I think with your budget ($7K) you don't have a choice but to go with the RB25 route. By the time to buy a decent RB26/gearbox +Turbos and associated supporting hardware you will blow the $7K budget. If you can save more you will not regret getting the RB26. But as Nismoid said before, the Rb26 is really only 100cc's more. What the point of going RB26???????????

I'll tell you what. I will sell you a good use toilet brush from my in-laws house!! it is 20 years old but in good condition (much like my GTR) You can have it for 65 Cents + GST (EFT only please) Is that cool with you?

That is true. RB20's are a fantastic motor. However he already has a RB25. So why would he put an RB20 into his ride????? It's a case (as he stated in his initial thread post) whether he should rebuild his Rb25 or outlay for a RB26 (Money Pit..............)

My 2 cents..... Your turbos are toooooooo big for a street 2.6L GTR. For a street car you cant drive practically with mega lag.. It just takes away the "thrill" of driving a GTR (or any turbo car for that matter). If I were you I would would sell off your current turbos and go for the GT-SS's. You will love the power and response. Trust me....

I agree with GTRsean. If you got the funds, go for the RB26. But to be honest what is your target RWHP figure???? That will determine whether you even need to go RB26. I have seen some strong RB25's doing 500RWHP all day every day................... I have two GTR's. But that does not mean that I will push and promote RB26's........ RB25 is a very solid motor................. Again, what is your target figure?????

Sorry, the "half roll" is actually just a cardboard roll now. I have an offer for it already but I am not sure if you can match it... Current offer.... 3 cents. If you want, for an extra $2 I can clean the toilet brush to make it as good as new.... perfect for all the scrubbing required under the rear gaurds after the burnouts!!!!! The Fcon ECU is arguably one of the best ECU's on the market. Yes it is limited to just two tuners in Aus but if XSpeed was to go bust or prics are crazy then I'll just by a $650 FPC SAU jobbie..... I already have the ECU. So I might as well make use of it. It is not really worth selling. I don't want to jump on the PFC band wagon (I'm not knocking the PFC, everyone know it does its job well). With regards to the single throttle, because I stated above that I am using the Fcon, the two tuners in Aus will tell you that having a single throttle setup is better for it in regards to fuel/air map tuning, etc... It may seem silly to you but there are many ways to get a good reliable result. Using a Fcon + Single Throttle is one way.. not a silly way.

Thanks for your advice. 1. I already have the HKS dumps. They are better than standard and that is good enough for me. I agree Tomei are far better but I didn't pay jap street price for the HKS's so it was worth getting when I did. 2. I forgot to mention that I am installing a Tomei Head Gasket and ARP Bolts. So I am doing the restrictors at the same time. 3. I am not going to bother with the oil pan. Instead I am thinking of getting some cams and gears. 4. I have just bought today a pair of GT-RS's with a HKS bridged manifold. By the end of the year I am stroking and forging the engine to work better with the GT-RS's. I want still want to retain the "stock" look when the bonnet is lifted. So no high mounts for me. BB, What are your thoughts on what cams and cam gears to use (not brand, specs) to better work with the GT-RS's?? Fire away..I won't get shitty with constructive criticim directed at my parts choices.

haha. nice to see you are reading the list carefully!!! Yes you are right. Unfortunatley I already have the cat so I have to use it (Not really worth selling. I only paid $190 for it new). I bought this before I decided to do the above power up mods. I might look at getting a much better cat towards the end of the year. 2.2 cents!!!! Bargin .......
