Good luck bkc, I hope you reach 650hp and get the R31 beefed up. This guys deserves the help, look at his ride, its a beast. both of them.

  3. ah, you actually can not remap the ecu at all whatsoever... if you know someone that does i think alot of ppl here in SAU including most of the experts would want to know how its done... get ultimate or pfc as your cheapest and best ecus, otherwise get haltech, motech, wolf etc etc etc. Fuel cut defender and an SAFC2 will do it too yeah?

  5. you underestimate the stalling my friend... it is possible to happen ANYTIME you stop, if you dont have ur foot over accelerator as you brake your f**ked, trust me lol. It'll hunt for AFR like a c**t, go up and down the revs like crazy then if u dont balance it out with the accelerator ur stuffed, can happen anywhere, even while you are moving downhill, put it in to nuetral to double clutch cause ur synchros are screwed then the car stalls as you are rolling at 70km/h... you need a retune if you remove the stock bov, and then the new bov u get needs to be tuned too... ADAM, a vent to atmo BOV is one that VENTS TO ATMOSPHERE, ie, has a little trumpet or filter or whatever is aftermarket these days are pretty much all vent to atmosphere, thats the valve that creates the phshhhhhhht noise. k thnx bye lol.
  6. We are in SA, so yes, it is illegal to have one Adz. You need a retune if you disconnect your stock BOV apparently to reconfigure your idle. The Atmo one will go where your stock one is with a flange that migth have come with your BOV if it was specific to our car. I am getting an adaptor made up for my Blitz SS BOV to go where the stock one is cause I want something a bit stronger and stainless in the stock ones place. You will find if you block your stock one up (Thread in DIY section) then you will notice the car will stall when you approach lights, in parking areas, etc etc. So the only thing that fixed this is a AFC or a ECU apparently. And yes, under normal driving if you do it without a retune, you will notice some fully sik woosh woosh action. lol.
  7. 1996 Series 2 R33 Mods I have (In order of installation): Car came with: 3.25 inch cat-back. (1998 5Zigen Border series) K&N Pod filter. Blitz SS B.O.V. Mods I have installed so far: Custom 3 inch dump pipe Metal-cat (Magnaflow 650 CFM cat) Garrett GT3076R w/IW turbo Turbosmart Boost T Hyperperformance Automotive FMIC (ebay choina) Cold Air Induction (To underneath of pod from front bar.) Exedy heavy duty organic clutch kit. Will start at 8psi then go to 10psi then 14.7psi once more. Was running 1bar (14.7psi) before my clutch eventually wore out from slipping, I suspect I have a Fuel Cut Defender that I am not aware of. Dyno this Friday if all goes well.

  12. Yes, this must be stock ECU related, I am going to buy an Emanage Ultimate sooner or later so I might run the Stockie for now... Just seems a bitch that they run off these recirculation systems, the older nissans didnt run anything like this. they didnt run anything at all lol.

I am wondering the same thing, yes that is a dual BOV setup with the stock one but how does this affect anything if the stock one is still doing its job and you have to tighten up the second one all the way so its useless? I have a Blitz SS one (ultra cool lol) and i want to use it as my standard one but I think this would mean I would have the idle problems once more... There should not be an issue for you to use the stock one if you want to get rid of your aftermarket one but you must know in terms of boosting your turbo, the stock bov has its limitations and there is a few ways to get rid of this limitation in the DIY section.

  20. Make sure you double check all the vacuum hoses you may have disconnected again. and make sure they are going to the rigth places.
  21. Can I just clarify something... We GTS25t owners cannot get anything to solve our idle problems if we choose to disconnect the stock recirculating valve and use a vent-to-atmo BOV? Is it possible to still have the stock one connected, to control idle properly when you decelerate and come to a stop so you dont stall and still have the vent-to-atmo one as a primary?
