  1. depending on how competent your local nissan parts interpreter is you shouldn't have a problem getting a brand new one, but i can imagine it won't be cheap. Go to nissan and ask, probably the easiest way to find out.
  2. Converting to manual is a basic job, if you can spin a spanner you shouldn't have a problem. Do your research, there are always 34's being wrecked in the for sale section.
  3. FIRST OFF, DON'T BOTHER REPLYING TO THIS THREAD. IM AM VERY RARELY ON THIS FORUM SO YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR TIME. SECONDLY, ITEMS ARE LOCATED IN SYDNEY, NSW. 4. i would suggest you don't buy another shell you not 100% on. I replaced a bent cefiro shell with a shell that i was under the impression was in ok condition after a rear quarter replacement. was bitterly disappointed it was a lemon. if your that pedantic that your replacing the shell because of bad paint i would stay clear of damaged sills and rails as you will never be happy with it.
  5. Will vary between states. i know in NSW you have to get the car rego'd as a two seater or you run the risk of being defected. i had a cefiro rego'd as a two seater and it is a very easy process. remove rear seats go to weigh station, get a printout go to garage who deals in blueslips (i went to autosport in sydney as greg knew what i was doing - a normal garage might find it odd) who will fill in the appropriate forms go to RTA (in NSW) Done.
  6. Im glad for your sake you went for the eastbear's, that trimmer would have been laughing all the way to the bank. leather is not the most expensive material around, GTR seats would not even use one hide. If i was to do GTR seats in genuine Alcantara which is apprpx 30% more i wouldn't charge that much. Best advice when coming to trim work is shop around before commiting to one shop.
  7. type in www.google.com and search RB20 lag... Do some research on what parts you already have prior to running to a tuner. many will pick up you haven't got a clue and wrought you.. RB20's do not have low down torque. dont expect much until it comes on boost or at least is well above 3krpm.
  8. $1500-2000 is a but much for a simple retrim. depends largely on who does the job. prices vary massively.
  9. Trying to diagnose some issues im having with an RB20DET. I've searched so many times looking for answers, have come across people with similar problems but the thread was never resolved, or they never bothered to update with what the problem was. OK, im wanting to know what the water temp sensor voltage should be with the ignition turned on. i checked mine when the engine was stone cold and it was around 4-5v. Yes i did check the engine manual and it said 3v at 20degrees and 1v at 80degrees but it had no info on voltages for when its cold, i don't have consult so cant check engine temps. Any relevant info is appreciated. Cheers.
  10. Im after a blown RB20DET musn't be any holes in the block, prefer a long motor - minus manifolds etc bit will take a short motor for the right price. Must be located in Sydney, will pay UPTO $200 for long motor. I DO NOT WANT A COMPLETE RUNNING MOTOR, SO PLEASE DO NOT OFFER ME ANY... PM or TXT 0450472446 Cheers.
  11. What sort of $$ did the genuine GTR bar set you back ? Did it include the lower lip ?
  12. Ok seems like a stupid question... It would seem different motors albeit the same motor...... like different voltages.. Joes RB20 might like .44 and run like a dream... Jims RB20 might run .51 and run like a dream... Swap over the TPS voltages and each car will run like crap, regardless of changing idle issues etc. Therefore im curious to know what YOUR TPS is set to.. im mainly interested in the RB20 but still interested in other RB's. Im also fully aware what the engine manual states. Cheers!!!
  13. The striker plates that the door itself latches to ?? I brought some from Nissan only 2 weeks ago, they even had them in stock. it was for my partners GTST, but i can't see a GTS4 being any different, that simply wouldn't make sense.
  14. Great to see someone giving a non R32 GTR some love. One of the few things i couldn't seem to get from Nissan new was the boot rubber stops, apparently they are discontinued otherwise its amazing what you can still get, managed to pick up a brand new clutch pedal spring for a previous build. You have some way to go so goodluck!!
  15. Yes packaging for the lights was very anal... Good work Rowan.
  16. Had them both, ISC's are overpriced for what they are and the customer service is rubbish. Had to replace the camber tops with HSD ones because they wouldn't stop 'popping' despite adding the bullsh*t bearing kit. Go for the BC's.
  17. Just replaced my partners Tein front coilovers and random rear spring/shock combo with new BC's. Unsure of the model as they were on the car when purchased. Height adjustable, helper springs, not sure if they are damper adjustable though. They have seen better days, but thanks to the likes of www.fulcrumsuspensions.com.au they can be rebuilt. Will endeavour to post up some pic's tomorrow morning. Were removed from a GTST but will fit GTR's PM or TXT! 0450472446. Private numbers will be ignored. Forgot price.. $150 ono
  18. ^^ check your pivot ball as above, if the clutch fork is really loose the end of the ball has snapped. Sometimes it can take ages to bleed it completely free of air, so try again... If no luck with either of these pull the box off and check if all again.
  19. are you thinking of R32 GTR's that run a ballast resistor ? because RB20 powered GTST's do not have it. nor do cefiro spec'd RB20's
  20. R32 fits fine, get the bracket thats welded to the tunnel also, makes fitting easier.
