Honestly its because i dont trust people so maybe its just me.... I wouldnt have bought my GTR had i not been able to talk to boostworks who did the work on the car and go through step by step what had been done and how the rebuild went etc... i wouldnt have taken the sellers word for it even with reciepts etc. but again could just be me....

id see it dropping the value 9 times out of 10. as most people would be wary why it was painted, accident history, no longer original etc etc

Looks standard under the bonnet so never had any problems with police and being defected! BUMP

hey mate, Thats my 33 GTR in your link. 3 years ago i went through the same thought pattern as you. Loved the 34 gtr, took one for a drive and yep good. standard, with normal bolt ons, non Vspec $70k. Decided to go have a look at the 33 GTR Vspec (that i bought), forged engine, plenty of mods, well kept, plenty of power, drove it and it felt like a different beast. $30K Couldnt justify spending $40K more on a car i knew i would put more money into when the 33 had all the go i would ever need. Plus if anything went wrong, the price to fix was large Dont regret buying it to this day and will be sad to see it go out the door when i find a buyer for it.

How much for cosmetic front end? Gaurds lights bonnet front bar etc

Just had the car in to be checked over before sale, had a compression test came back excellent, had a camera down the engine and again came back fine. Had both turbos looked over and again tight. And a tidy up tune done. So running perfectly. want this sold!

I have a series 2 r 33 gtst i have gtr guards and raisers , grt bonnet and hinges / latch, looking at the mo for a gtr front bar.... But which headlights are used? series 1 or 2 lights? i know they have to be spaced out and stuff but which shaped one works??

Well i cant take a trick. Took both cars down to the drags sat. And both went poorly! The torana had 2 runs in and on the second run broke the casting around the alternator and had to coast it home as it was getting hot. And worse for the Skyline. 1st gear and second gear ran beautifully. But as soon as you but it into 3rd, or 4th, it coughed spluttered and backfired. No acceleration and breaking down something shocking. needless to say nearly $1500 worth of tunning and its still not right. Unsure what the problem was... So the torana ran a 12.1 which was shocking and the skyline a 13.5 which again was no where near it for either! Only positive is 13.5 isnt bad for coasting from just over the half way point... hopefully see a high 11 out of it Back to the drawing board tho!!

yer the more i ask around the worse im hearing. just glad im not the only one who had troubles. one guy down there gets a clean sheet tho

Hey all, Im after some aftermarket bumpers to FIT a R33 GTR front end. Not necessarily a copy of the gtr bumper. I have a 33 track car with gtr front guards, headlights and z tune gtr bonnet. So need the wider front bar now. any one know who sells them?

Whats the easiest way to work out if an rb 25 is a turbo or non turbo engine? I have an engine with head pretty much bare. Engine number is rb25 065579a. I have a track gtst and would keep it for spares if its a turbo version
