Just an update. Just got the car back yesturday. All checked out fine. Head was tested along with the head gasket both fine. Had a compression test, come out excellent. The cooler was leaking slightly but leaking oil OUT not in, but that has been fixed. The little scum / oily film has been mainly put down to it being a new motor and during the rebuild may have got some in there along the lines. So all in all, its all good. Flushed the radiator etc out for me to and topped up with coolent no charge, long story short im a happy man!

and also what are the differances between the ones badge infinty and the ones badges skyline?

Hey all, Just a couple quickies about the V35.... I currently have a r33 GTR as my daily and also a track car (r33 gtst). As much as i love the GTR its a bit over kill for a daily without using it on the track to. Im considering an early model, manual coupe. My questions are - What are the biggest problems that go wrong with the earlier models? - What specific to the car things would have to be looked at as problem areas? - What are they genuinly like on fuel / servicing / finding parts to keep maintained? - Are they a mint to insure? im not looking for any big mods / speed etc. Just a nice set of rims, an exhaust and away i go.... Any help would be great Thanks

Did he buy it from me mate? I LOVED that exhaust! Went on a heap of Evo cruises and none ever sounded as good as mine!

Ah thats makes a bit of sense actually. I ran my tuner, who also did the engine rebuild and he said he would be shocked if it had done the gasket or cracked a head etc. He to said along the lines of when the gasket was installed there may have been something wrong etc. and they will check it out no charge for me and go from there

have just serviced it. so will keep an eye out. How quick is to quick to see some back in there? bearing in mind its only the smallest amount. its like just a bit of scum up the top when i serviced it after a bit over 5000kms>?

Hahah sorry, just GTR and problem = panic to me. Will book it in asap and see what they think. Will let you guys know the outcome

I have a fully rebuilt and forged engine.... i thought they put a metal head gasket in looking back on recipets. that was about 25000kms ago. So looking at this, things are getting worse for me

To be honest i cant think off the top of my head, 18 x 9.5 +12 i think. Just standard suspension with lowered springs. Fit mint tho!

Hey all Serviced the car today. Found a little oil in the radiator. Not a huge amount but scum up the top of the radiator etc. Any ideas why etc?

Hey all, In the middle of doing up a r33 gtst series2 for track work. Stripping the interior at the moment, pics below... Im undecided if ill put the dash back in or not. What are your thoughts? Leave it just the metal bar showing? Will rund gauges so no probs there

Hey all Im in the middle of putting my GTR on E85 Have some 1000cc injectors and the E85 Walbro pump coming. Have the normal blot ons with -5s Wanting to see near 380 to 400kws The question is will a fuel pressure regulator and gauge be and benifet for what im after? Thanks

Need a R33 series 2 front bar Can be the standard item or aftermarket Cheaper the better! so no idicators etc needed. Can be rough In adelaide Just need it for a track car Thanks

I had a 33gtr and then sold it for the evo then went back to a 33 gtr. I just prefer the GTR, dont get me wrong loved the Evo and would consider buying one again.
