Clutch Choice For Skyline R33
R33LIN replied to jkotsa's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey mate i would recommend xtreme heavy duty cushion button. the pedal feels firmer without being excessively heavy, the grip is firm and is easier to drive! ideal for daily driving with a spirited run here and there. they are ideal for engagement on and off...preferably no riding of clutch. depending on your engagement a little bit of shudder on take up can be felt. xtreme HD cushion button should cost around $500-550 goodluck with that mate, Cheers -
Clutch Issue: 93 R33 Gt-st
R33LIN replied to Ivonin's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey mate! Glad your getting it sorted. but yeah i used to have the same problem as yours. rev-ing out. going no where...reving out under load going up hills. Not stalling when in any gear. let alone 4th! the clutch burn and smell is a dead give away also...when the flywheel is taken out, you will prolly see scorch marks. As QWK32 has mentioned you will definitely need your flywheel machined. your clutch would definitely be on its last legs if its doing it in 1st gear. when clutches start to slip i believe they tend to do it the higher gear (5th 4th gear) and slowly work itself down to first gear. if it does it in first gear..its definitely going to die soon. hope that helps goodluck mate, -
hey mate! sorry to hear bout your bad luck! poor guy, first the r32, now this! goodluck with the sale mate! i'll catch up with you soon buddy! cheers!

+1 recently got my timing belt and all the other anxillary belts changed. every morning the belts would squeel, very high pitched. took it back to the mechanics and it turned out to be the alternator belt being a tad loose. my mechanic didnt want to use petroleum jelly on the belts because they were brand new. Note even after you tighten it...run it for a week and see how it goes. you might need to continue to tighten it again. how old are your belts? if its old then you might want to invest in a belt change. goodluck with that mate! cheers!

here in adelaide i was quoted $200 for a brand new top tank, pressure tested etc... i had to take out the radiator and put it back in myself though. but when i took the radiator out it was rooted and leaking in the core. so ended up getting a new one for $320 in other news i aciddently over filled my overflow tank past the max line...are there any adverse affects from doing this. i will flush out it tomorrow. you guys say you should monitor the overflow bottle yeah? what is it that i am actually looking for? what is the job of the overflow bottle? is it supposed to increase or decrease in coolant level anyone with expertise wanna comment? sorry for the noob questions! cheers in advance Kind regards,
