    Farkin Sumo Mang

Went to Ryogoku yesterday to watch the last tournament in Tokyo for the year and what a ripper it was. Asa Shoryu lost and when the Yokozuna went down everyone started pegging the cushions they were sitting on at the ring - a tradition whenever the underdog beats the Yokozuna. Had some great seats and what was really awesome was how close you could get to the ring during the lesser graded bouts - so close Wrestlers were getting thrown out of the ring right in front of us. If youve never been to a Sumo tournament, i highly recommend it - these blokes are massive larger than life hard core kunts, with calves the size of my thigh... People all talk about top secret this and Nismo that and cheap parts etc etc, but this was something you wont forget. The tournaments are held in Tokyo at the Ryogoku station, 5 minutes from Akihabara and tickets can be bought at Lawson convenience stores or even from the official website http://www.sumo.or.jp/eng/ Events are held in Tokyo during March, May and September but are also held in Osaka and f*kuoka among other places throughout the year. Tickets can range from 5000 yen all the way up to 50,000 yen for ringside. This was the view from the rafters on the second tier One of the walls outside the entrance: Paintings coming to life. You feel so small next to these boys - they are massive. The food that Sumo live off - Chanko...not to be confused with Chinko The big kahuna trophy: Other random trophies; Pass out stamp only visible under black light:

Well come on then - go out there are try to bring in for yourself an R35 without going by the regulations. Youre regular enough surely?
  6. Remember, Mods are Gods.. Even though Dan was laike, "Dude, that guy is so not a cop mang" I was laike laike " Dude, he totally was mang." I think you need to find a new crystalball supplier Dan - that ones broke.
  7. *grumble* peh...wish I could have a crystal ball too....
  8. And how do you know this? Can i have a crystal ball too?
  9. Check the cops details - theres NOTHING in there. Pfft, Trent from Punchie would have a thing or two to say to you bud...
  10. I saw hotfuzz and 2 things clicked... 1. Hes got a funny username... Hot and fuzz. Quick guys, lets bolt - the fuzz are rocking up... and then Pete opened the can and Bobs your uncle - it all clicked. 2. Hotcops post was too sanitized and coplike for it to sound street. Polish your intercooler pipes? Paint your bonnet black?? Seriously dude, how dumb do you think we are? How i laughed at the "Missles on the road" comment, for one. Wow, you know i find that AMAZING. Missles eh? Soooo....what do you call the Holden 427 thats being preordered and selling out? A boat? Also, why did the government allow the import of what is probably the craziest SCUD of them all, the R35? No missles eh? Scratching the surface. Mate, just come clean or leave...no point staying if your only going to be a shitty example of a wolf in sheeps clothing is there? God how i love driving in Japan...no hassles, no problems, fun, easy going, times when i can blast and not have to stress... No defects. ..

    R35 Photo Wanted

Money cant get past the law for the common citizen... Im 100% sure it was a Personal Import. There is no other way. Makes sense...the cars been here in Tokyo for over a year now...i was at the Tokyo motorshow for the launch...
  12. Those plates are NSW... Surely it was registered in SA, no?
  13. Id like to know what the plates on the 35 are. Can someone PM them to me?
  14. Meh, its an amazing car, absolutely. I would argue i have more to say about it than most but even then, i couldnt get a reply from Martin. And im pretty sure he saw the posts. No stress... I still prefer my Italians. Got some plates you might very well be interested in, by the way if you read this...
  15. How do you know that? Link? Didnt know you could read Kanji mate? Better than me thats for sure
  16. wtf. Youd think if you ask a question in here and being from adelaide and having driven the GTR, youd think youd get a response or 2...
  17. I couldnt agree with you more. Theres a lot of mechanical noise, the pumps and the gearbox being the main two culprits. Tyre noise depends on the road surface really - i noticed a pretty big swing there. Its really restrained - like its waiting to get off the leash and that would be hard when the speed limit is 60. Ive had it up at 180 on the wangan here and it gets there bloody fast. A lot faster than my Fonz. Only thing is - its uncompromising as a daily driver - its a little too hard but i spose what else do i expect. The biggest surprise for me was the power delivery - it just surges and whooshes and gushes and farkin pins you. Hard. Enjoy it. One more question - what are you going to do about the speed limiter?
  18. What plates did you end up getting for the GTR by the way?
  19. I have driven a friends GTR on a number of occassions here in Tokyo and it is an amazing vehicle. Forgot to add, we swapped cars for a day - that was interesting..although i had to be a little more careful than him. Youre fortunate in many ways. One question.. How did you do it?...getting the car registered?
