  1. Good stuff! I'm digging those UAS engine mounts, I might change mine to those too... And a Pulsar brake booster might fit. You're running close with the clutch master too Have fun making the extractors
  2. I knew some guys that used to bring superbikes into India for their own use. Bribing was the only way to go for them, their families were loaded, so a few grand here or there didn't matter.
  3. I've got one for my 300ZX with a VH45DE. They are physically large and can be a bit tricky to fit in a good spot. They must NOT be run dry as they have a ceramic mechanical seal just like a house water pump. I got the digital controller with mine too, just had to drill and tap the standard pipes to suit the new CTS. I'm just blanking the standard water pump housing with some plate and have removed the standard thermostat. I'm still using the standard pipes. You could just gut the standard pump if you don't want to blank it, or wish to retain the clutch fan. My pump was about $220 secondhand but unused, controller was $240 or so, I already had all the steel and drills and taps etc.
  4. Yep, too loose = no oil pressure and a spun bearing VERY quickly.
  5. Hey all, Chasing the following to suit a S1 R33 GTS-T. Carbon Canister Rear lower passenger side control arm Standard rear shocks in good condition, don't need springs, but wouldn't say no to lowered springs. Thanks!
  6. They have a pretty good effect on VG30DE's, normally good for 10-15hp on one of them. Standard pulley weighs around 7kg! I always thought that non harmonic balanced pulleys where no good on RB's, they have trouble due to the long cranks, it reaches a natural frequency that fatigues the crank then it snaps. Only what I have heard
  7. Those crank pulleys are done up real tight for a good reason. The oil pump is chain driven from the crank, but the sprocket on the crank is not keyed like the timing chain sprockets. Make use torque it up to the recommended values. I think it's about 270 ft/lb. Apparently it can cause issues if it' done up too tight too, have a search on NICO, heaps of info there.
  8. Umm, why are they REDUCING the important fluids in your car before a track day? That just seems a bit silly to me...
  9. Sorry for the Hijack, but what's that 4.6 LSD diff out of? Never seen one that short!
  10. Clearing some stuff out of the shed that I don't need anymore... Bosch 044. Used, bought it second hand of that V8 super car team that shutdown. I bought 2, but one will be sufficient for my current needs. $180 + post Bonnet Pins, red. Unopened $20 + post Standard Z32 300ZX non-turbo ECU. Unopened, perfect for a RB25 nistune project. $200+ post Subframe lock rings. Will apperently fit S13/S14/S15/R32/R33/Z32. I bought them for a 300ZX, brand new in box. $100 + post Z32 AFM, off a '93 NA. Excellent condition and includes about 2 foot of wire with the plug. Does not include the filter adapter. $200 + post SARD Attack Meter. Super dooper rare lap timer/digi speedo/tacho/laptimer/0-100/0-200/0-300/qtr mile/speed limiter remover thingamajig. Cost around $300 a few years ago. I still have the box and instructions somewhere. It's all in Japanese though. It's set up for a Z though with the correct speedo and tacho settings. I have only seen another 2 of these in the country. Good for timing the mountain runs $150 + post Everything is located Northside Brisbane, happy to post at buyers expense. I know I'm not too active on this forum, so if you want to look me up I'm Chrispy on www.aus300zx.com
  11. These things run a external igniter? That's classic igniter/PTU failure symptoms for a Z32. Once they get warm they just die, fine once they cool down again.
  12. I got 2 full sets of non-OEM timing chains, seals, metal backed guides etc for $550 delivered from the US when the dollar was nearly 1 for 1. Got mine started today, it's a bit noisy
  13. I got 2 motors at about $1500 each, they have gone up in price over the last year or so, used to see halfcuts going at $1.5K. I'm using a Z32 5 speed, which go for between $300 and $1200 depending on who you know The VH only came with a auto box, and no manual will directly bolt up. I got one of 5 prototype adaptor plates from the states.
  14. Double synchro's out of the GTT gearbox I'm guessing? No synchro will stop you shredding gears and snapping shafts though...
  15. Yep, unless you have a older car, 'pre 86 or so...
  16. I've been let off for it before... But unfortunately it's right. Shouldn't be worth a fine and points though! I got defected for my race harnesses and I just had to get it fixed, no fines no points. Not like it's got cut springs and no door handles
  17. I'm putting one of these in my Z32 hardtop. Click the link in my sig if you wanna look How are you going with the alternator clearance? Most of the US guys have to notch their chassis to get it to clear. Mazworx offer a full conversion kit, gearbox adapter (Z32), mounts for motor and gearbox, extractors (LHD though) and driveshaft. About $2k US. Here are some piccies for inspiration: GS14Racers from Nico This is a drifters car in Canada, not bad Quick vid: Clicky And here is a few of mine for good luck My mounts, beefy! I've binned the air con and power steering, just knocked the seals out of the rack and sealed up the old fluid ports. Got a heap of goodies for it, 1.5way diff, Tein's, adjustable everythings, Recaro's, 4 point welded cage etc etc. Also got a truck turbo that should work nicely, just have to mount the alternator up in the V to make it fit.
  18. I've had 2 Z32's, nice cars when everything is working right. If you buy a cheap abused one then you will be paying twice the purchase price to get it sweet. Very easy to get good power out of the turbo ones too, exhaust, pod, boost, 'cooler, chip and you are looking at around 230-250rwkw I've found that the cops don't bother the Z owners as much as other imports, no idea why though.
  19. Pacific Hose Flex down the gold coast make them.
