  1. McRen check your timing or get your mechanic to check it out, poor timing and crap Tasmanian fuel = detonation Cheers Alex.
  2. Sounds like good work on the dyno front WOGBOY, well done !!! Tried to get out there but due to my poor time management skills did not make it. Next time i'm in Burnie prob. for Rally Tas. will have to catch up. Cheers Alex
  3. If you know anyone with a Nissan Skyline of any description or a Datsun for that matter in Tasmania can you please get them to join this site at least then we may be able to have a means of organising a get together to see just how many cars and owners we have down here and gauge interest in forming a club. Otherwise there does not seem a lot of point using these forums does there????????? Cheers Alex.
  4. Roaldin try http://www.apexi-usa.com/documentation.asp for an english version manual Cheers Alex.
  5. McRen What sort of car do you have ???? Datsun of some description I'm guessing. Cheers Alex
  6. Pardon my ignorance but when is the car show ????
  7. KamikazeR33 Australian delivered ones don't N1's do however (to the best of my limited knowledge) English GTR's engine transfer case gearbox? rear diff
  8. On Australian delivered R32's the cooler is on the transfer case, I'm guessing English spec. GTR's and N1's have a similar set up in terms of 'cooler location. cheers Alex
  9. I have a japanese catalogue for the R32 which shows an R32 GTR with an airbag, looks like it was for the driver only. I would guess this was an option rather than a std feature
  10. No modification required at all to make them fit Not sure if the following applies to R34 N1 pumps BUT............................................................................. .... N1 water pump has a different impeller design than a std RB 26DETT both in the number of blades and the impellor depth (from memory) Really they are designed to suit N1 blocks, and work best in high RPM operations. N1 water pump + std block = poor water flow => lots of $$$$ when cylinders 5&6 get hot !!!!
  11. was one on yesterday Lavers at Baskerville. Anyone in keen to do something this weekend ?
  12. does anyone have a working R32 clock for sale ??? I'm guessing GTST and GTR are the same cheers
  13. FYI according to the TARGA guide (not a particularly reliable publication) Steve Glenney's GTR has 335kw. Im sure Martin will be able to fill us in
  14. still not quite sure how the use of 4wd is cheating, but point taken anyway
  15. "Top effort Targa Tom, its good to see the GTST giving those cheating 4wds a run for their money" Duncan this should open up a can of worms !!!!!!! I believe that all the Datsuns got through post race checks so the cheating call may be a bit OTT.
  16. Re: "Glenneys car is extremely well developed. I should know, I tuned the damn thing" Martin Donnon Both of the 33's that I have seen Mr Glenney drive appeared to be well developed, that is without question. I was of the opinion that his current 33 N1, was in a higher state of tune than the black 33 he ran in '02, hence the development call, that was all. I guess this is the problem you have when you dont get the information from the Horses mouth. Tuning for all round driveability and torque not outright power in both cases I am guessing. Were you down here for the event??
  17. I will have to agree (with Martin) it does seem a slightly odd call, he is undoubtably a talent given his previous performances at rally tas 2002 and targa 2002 in a car which was not as developed as his current 33. And in rally tas this year untill problems struck (turbos ????) But I guess he does not have the backing of an organisation the size of Porsche Cars Australia, hence the deficiency call ??? He still looked to have by far and away the best Nissan in the field as an overall package in all conditions. Perhaps the michelin pilot sport cups Jim was running may also have not been their best in the conditions over the event making the gap closer! Was still a BLOODY GOOD effort
  18. think it was a 32 not a 33 though, he is on this forum I think targa tom. or http://www4.tpgi.com.au/users/gjmaust/index.html
