Changed A Few Things Around And Want Your Oppinion
Husky33 replied to SLDN-31's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah 10psi is fine, i wouldn't go anymore on a stock turbo though. Engine will handle it fine, turbo's like to shoot out their ceramic wheels at anything much over 12psi. -
out of a bosch and a walbro i would say the walbro is more plug and play, as it can pretty much fit into the same position as the stock fuel pump. With the bosch because it doesn't have a sock you'd need to modify the bracket slightly to move it further down. If you do get a walbro, you can use the stand nissan sock instead which fits straight on, instead of the one in the kit. It's much longer and sits on a better angle

i would say that the ad above is real, not a scam, so i wouldnt go sending fake emails and being a prick. If you havent noticed, every scam on carsales will never have their contact details. You will always have to email them. The contact details on the ad above are present, so i'd say it's their car

i'm an idiot? That's a bit uncalled for...You don't even know me, so there's no need for name calling Don't get me started on aspartame? Show me studies proven it's bad for you? I'm not talking independant studies sponsored by sugar cane farmers....give me something on pubmed for eg, if you know what that is. What about cigarettes? THey were proven to be linked with cancer in the early 1900's, yet tobacco companies created 'research companies' which lied to everyone about their studies, trying to extinguish the 'myth' of ciggies and cancer. This still happens today, with a lot of big industries. However we have come a long way, and there is alot of studies being conducted out there that if you only went out of your way a little and spent some time reading you could learn alot

That's complete crap. There have been MANY MANY studies done on Acesulfame Potassium as a potential carcinogenic on mice, in quite large doses too, and they have all found it to be completely safe. Don't listen to half the crap you hear from hippies on the net that isn't actually backed up by proper scientific studies.

R33 Gtr Wheels On Gts-t
Husky33 replied to Astro Bear's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
looks like a nismo front bar that has been modified where the cooler sits to allow more air -
sorry to stpill the beans but it's a scam. Any ad on carsales where they seller does not provide contact details is a scam. After looking for a run about car for cheap, I learnt this quite quickly

seriously man, if you get told of someone that is quite 'reasonable' when it comes to blue slips, why the hell would you post them on a PUBLIC forum?!

33 Gtst Street/track Car
Husky33 replied to Husky33's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
yeah on the rim I have now, my 245's are pushing it. With a 9 inch rim in perhaps +28 you should be right with a 255. -

You could fit 18's on the front, even with the same offset and width. But with a 245 or greater tyre on there, hmmm...you'd def have to roll the guards and maybe get them pumped, obviously depends how low the car is too. Mine would sit alot better if I had 225's or even 235 in a 40 profile(the ones on are 245/45). -

So stayed out in rain putting on the TE37's and ganador mirrors, plus stripped the rear and got it registered as a 2 seater. While i had the wheels off I bled the brakes with some new rbf660 also. I also hate with a passion tyre joints that over torque wheel nuts...broke a bloody breaker bar(shit one) trying to get a couple of the f**kers off!! The ganadors, still not decided if I like them. Would look better in silver i think....any opinions. Keep em or get rid of them??? The te37's fit alright, the rear sits quite flush however guard rolling might be needed, will see what happens when i go over a big bump. The front sticks out, not too much. I have 245's on the front, no camber, and there's not much clearance between the guard and tyre. It also scrubs on half to full lock on the splash guards, so might take them out if it's no issue. Rear Front (wheel is slight turned inwards so looks worse that it is) You can sort of see how much it sticks out from the angle of my finger -
Thanks heaps guys. Reason i'm doing it is yeah, i want to put a cage in for one, and having fixed back seats is a no no if it is still a 4 seater

good wrap should have little air channels to help get rid of the bubbles when applying it. I would suggest, before popping it with a pin, to heat it up a bit then try to smooth out the bubbles to the edges. Shouldn't be too hard.

Ok i did search too but didnt come up with my answers. Anyway, I bought a car from the act that i am getting registered here this week. Getting the rwc on monday and booked in to vicroads on wednesday. I'd like to register it as a 2 seater. Now when i booked in to vicroads, I asked the person on the phone what the requirements are(obviously remove seats and seatbelts), but did i need a vass to go with it. They had no idea, started rambling about how you can only change seating plans on buses, not cars. in other words, they were no help. So question is, do i need a vass after removing seatbelts and rear seats, or can I just take it into vicroads on wednesday with the shit removed and register it as a 2 seater on the spot. Thank You

Don't know what arms they are, look to be possibly JJ. I'll let you know on the te37's when i put them on later this week. Probably just have to roll the guards, but should fit alright hopefully. -

I mainly changed it due to not being wanted to be defected for it, but on a car with stockish power, I don't see the point of a pod filter, all it does is suck in hot air(unless boxed with cai). I've always ran stock airboxes on my skylines, and it seems to improve response down low, must be the cooler air. Mind you they were all mildly modified, around 180-200rwk. -

Does It Feel Like Your R33 Is Outdated?
Husky33 replied to crazyr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
the only reason i have a 33 is because I like them. Always loved skylines since i first saw them, and after owning a few I still love having them. There are better cars out there, more powerful cars out there, more reliable cars out there, less money pit cars out there....but I just like it. At the end of the day that's what being a car enthusiast is, doing it because you like doing it. -
a heat gun should work fine, are a blowdryer. Heat it up a little so the glue underneath melts, then it should peel off, might have to use a plastic spatula or something. Citrus spray will help get remaining glue off.

yeah i did like my 32, but at the price 33's are going for these days it's hard not to resist. I'm living in sydney for the time being Roy, so i may come down for the odd track day or DECA, but mostly be up there. -

And lastly the other day I put in a walbro intank, fitted a new 02 sensor from Kudos Motorsport(thanks guys), changed all the spark plugs to coppers at 1.1mm, cleaned the acc valve/afm, cleaned every connection in the engine bay with contact cleaner too.....runs quite well now Also bought one of these, just for general use and track use Would love to get my hands on an AC Hydraulic jack one day for home use, but a bit too pricey for my budget right now
