  8. I've ordered a new Tial MVR Wastegate, and it has a waterjacket built into the gate to control diaphram heat. I want save myself some extra braided lines and run the water feed from the turbo into the the Tial and then back to the engine? Or should the system be built with 2 separte lines?? I hope not, I have space issues! I'm thinking that there should not be an issue running water through the turbo then to the wastegate and then back to the engine.. Thoughts guys..
  9. PM's sent. Basicly, low car numbers = large amount of track time = higher cost but heaps more fun! I've got a disc here, but having trouble loading it.. might see if I can get it onto youtube and add another link! cheers Aaron
  10. Skid Pan day: 8am to 3:30pm. BBQ Lunch & soft drinks provided $160 Open licence required, No cams licence needed. No helmet needed, No special tyres required... upcoming dates: May 29 Jun 05 Jul 03 Aug 07 Some old skid clips.. Answers to some FAQ's and some advise... 1:Remove ALL crap from your car that is not actually BOLTED to your car.. paper, sub boxes, junk, tool boxes, lose crap. They fly round and wreck stuff! 2: Check your tyre pressures. I recommend you pump the REAR tyre pressure to the MAX as indicated on the sidewall of that tyre. DONT use SPINNERS! Spinners unbalance the car... 3: You will need at least half a tank of fuel to go skidding for the day, depending on how thursty your car is and how heavy your foot is! 4: If your driving more than an hour to get to the skid pan, plan a rest somewhere on the way home, It may save your life.. its a long day! 5: Check ALL fluids, dont overfill ANYTHING. 6: Dont come skidding if your car has a mechincal issue, you may break it.. ..and that sux! 7: If you want to get better at skidding, LISTEN to the instructor, he knows a few things..! 8: If your a newbie.. thats cool. Dont worry if you dont get it all together the first skid day.. it takes time and practice! Just ask for help, and we will do what we can! 9: You dont need a helmet, special licence or special tyres. Just bring your normal car as you normally drive it.. 10: If you want to go skidding on another day, please email me and I'll see what I can do for you. IF you require more info, feel free to email/pm me. RULES 01: NEVER skid past or near a car or person! Dont skid when people are picking up cones. This is VERY bad, you will be sent home. 02: Do not spin tyres ANYwhere but on the skid pan. 03: Drive off the skid pan slowly. 04: Cool down laps on the black stuff are fine, consider other drivers, no overtaking, 40KM/h speed limit. 05: This is NOT drifting. Drifting involves tyre smoke and close car proximity. We dont do either. 06: All vehicles MUST have a full exhaust.. including mufflers. Sound limits do apply. 07: Pick up your own cones in your skid go, not after your go. 08: Seatbelts must always be worn, keep all of your body INSIDE the vehicle. 09: Only the nominated driver (who signs the indemnity form is permitted to drive. 10: Refrain from smoking near the shed and other cars. 11: No alcohol, drugs or HANGOVERS are permitted! 12: Your friends are your responsibility, They get asked to leave, so do you! 13: Dont break my rules, play nice or else you and your mates WILL be evicted. 14: OPEN license required. If asked, you must produce it on the day. Use your common sence, and everybody will have a great day! 11. A guy I know had one of those horror stories. He bought an ebay turbo, spent a fair lump of coin getting the retarded odd ball thing fitted. It had a weird rear housing bolt pattern, odd oil feed lines, and generally nothing fitted. It was all custom made to make it all work. He stuck the car on the dyno and right near the 7000rpm mark... KA-BOOOM! The turbine wheel had exploded and torn the housing apart and sent bits of molten metal all over the engine bay. The shrapnel from the grenade tore open the oil feed line and 'WOOF' Big oil FIRE! The $600 odd dollar turbo cost him more than the turbo was worth to get fitted, it cost dyno time, it cost him the junker turbo and an exstinguisher and the kicker.. a new head and a big bunch of new hoses! Now ask yourself, does that sound like it was a bargin?? Holset, Garrett, HKS, IHI, Apexi.. any of the real brands do their homework and put the runs on the board so bad crap like this doesn't happen to you.. you have been warned.
  12. How is it that this low life scrum sucking sheit licker like him can be allowed to keep breathing?? I mean, Surely if a few forums like SAU and Subie and goodness knows who else he has suckered can link together and inform the fun police, surely somethiing would happen to him..? Does anybody know of someone in the subie forum to ask?? Perhaps if the 2 forums made an offical complaint to 'ACA' or whoever, maybe we could use their onesided views for our common good? (at least once in their lifetime!) This idiot NEEDS to be exsposed in a large public domain. thoughts??
  13. A mate of mine had the same hot cooler issue with his old school GT4 celica in traffic. Thats the 3SGTE with the factory top mount cooler. He went nuts building a bigger scoop, & moving as much stuff from behind the cooler as he could to help move more air.. and it made a poofteeth difference. I jammed a slim line davies craig fan on top of the cooler and hard wired it to his ign. That made a MASSIVE difference. Stop start traffic didn't make stuff all difference to the car anymore, air was ALWAYS movong through the core! Then we added a temp driven water sprayer infront of the fan to blow through the cooler. That made the car jump up even further. When we finally put a front mount onto the car, at the same 14psi boost, the car didn't go any faster through the gears, but it did go for much longer(you could pull the gears for heaps of traffic lights instead of 3 or 4)! Now, your side mount cooler will have more free air flow and more room. Get the biggest fan onto the cooler you can fit. Its only a BIG band aid, but it does do wonders on stop start traffic.. even better on hot days. thats my 3c worth anyhow! Hope it helps
  14. Call the: Dep of Health Dep of immagration & Tax man! and get the useless propaganda people involved.. opps, I mean 'ACA' or 'Today Tonight'.

  17. its a complete unit.. you could modify it to fit any vehicle.. need it gone guys.
  18. I am pretty sure the hi-cas ecu in the boot controlls the unit, I am also interested in how it is operated. My 33 gtst sometimes goes heavy and stays heavy. then next time i start it, it could be normal again. Im looking at modding it.. possably removing it, would love to know how it is operated!
  19. R33 Sun roof and Roof liner. Comes with the sun roof switchs and centre light, clips and nuts. Liner could do with bit of a clean, but no rips or tears. Motors work fine. It has had next to no use since I have owned the car (7 years!). $250. Pick in Gympie 4570, or I can get it moved anywhere between Yatala & Bundy for a fee, Or I can bundle it up and drop it off the at couriers for you. Cheers Aaron
