  2. Im running similar setup with cams (which i highly recommend) and hitting 260rwkw with 270 hopefully being extracted after the last tune. IMO best mod I did was Jap rims, it turned the car to dull and boring off boost to a monster with wheel spin at lights and smoke shows in launching not to mention crazy lighting fast accleration (yes all i did was change wheel, 9kg cant hurt!) I will be hitting up a body kit .. thanks to a bonus from work make the car look alot meaner. Then I will sit back and enjoy it until I blow the motor and rebuild it with a to4z or buy a GTR tough one!!
  3. I love how everyone says its defect... So its a damn loud exhaust. Thats the only reason you get it dont you? do you really need another key ring? Unfortunately I have an exhaust for a reason, FLOW and POWER (I know crazy isnt it!!).. why would you buy a varex which will restrict flow at all times? Exhaust is damn loud yes but it runs a silencer when on the road. IMO if you want a good no-breakable silencing option which will last and not produce to much back presure get an active tail silencer (apexi ATS) Ive researched it all and this or the cat option is best! Id go silencer as its removeable unlike a varex or a cat silencer.

    Revs

    i believes purchacing a revs certification protects you against these fines, technically he should pay. You should contact RTA and REVS. When you purchace the car make sure you buy a revs certification its $12 bux! p.s it could be defected and you will need it passed so id watch out if thats the case, you'll then be screwed.
  7. Heres a tip.. Dahtone Racing. Squeeling belt after he installed it, next time i saw him tested and fixed Blew injector seal, he drove out and replaced every single one. its a hour drive on his daughters birthday(after he got the party sorted for the young one) - get this mechanic doing me favors on a sunday! We ended up spending close to 2-3 hours I guess. Turbo actuator, had to replace the highflow one because it was useless! found out gcg gave us two wrong mounts, two different actuator rods ended up coming over 4-5 times in the space of a week or so to fix/moddfiy this useless actuator and still charged me his quote. Bonus he doesnt spin shit... I dunno but im pretty sure no mechanic will do anything like that!
  8. you can get a catch can and vent it to atmo.. this will keep the fuel octane rating at 98 anyway as oil in the intake effects this. good luck!
  9. Good question!! I also had boost drop have now fitted a Bellmouth (also had ces dump pipe which was awesome on the stocker) I honestly think its actually the turbo. Wednesday im due for a tune I hope... Dont know if it holds boost better because boost controller is totally wild and dont have enough space or balls to set it in todays police climate. So we shall wait and see!

  12. These work, not dangerous unless its kept in lines, hence why you purge the lines. The lines can pop and thats about it. Co2 is non compustable so even with a puncuture in the bottle it will do little but piss out freezing cold air.
  13. It is the "premier" body kit fitter in sydney, and will be sprayed by the most known sprayer on here so I assume its all in line then. Perhaps test fit before it goes in to see if its needed.
  14. Hey guys and gals, Interest in the costs related to fitting a bodykit, Ive been quoted in the range of $400 for just a front bar and up to $1500 for full bodykit fitment. Is this normal? It seems overly expensive for body work IMO but unsure as Im sure alot of time is taken with fitment and painting. If anyone could give me a yey or ney on if this is correct pricing or not that would be great. Thanks Nathaniel P.S search engine is down.

  16. Reason is Starter motor, I have it right now. Unfortunately the starter is fairly expensive. Either the heat shield has been removed in perhaps a clutch install or the starter is shitted itself. it will eventually die, until then it may start with abit more gas and longer ignition. secondly its not the tune... at all. douse sounds like a fueling issue with ur car. to fix replace starter, install a heat shield. it stops working because the starter absorbs heat and it requires more power to fire. you may want to try run a bigger ground first, check the power at the starter first warm vrs cold. or perhaps warm car up let it sit for 20-30 mins when it absorbs most heat and then hook up a jump start see if it fires then this may mean the battery is rooted.
  17. Not going to read this many pages.. but it was proven stock or splitfires are the only two ignition coilpacks which work as good as stock or better (1% better for split fire) ebay ones produced 40% less power on the dyno.. that bad!

Dont know the bloke but ive got the same exhaust on a R34 GTT everyone compliments my exhaust note, I can only imagine how mean the exhaust would sound on a GTR my GTT is phat deep and lumpy with this exhaust. Most people wont even drive up next to the window with the exhaust, I assume the car sounds too angry. P.S its a good deal.
  21. Do luck does not make a gtt front bar (DMD modded it to fit) So that kills that. A full kit for a GTR is in excess of 10,000$$ Bomex is hideous!
  22. oh and 4teecal many people have noticed a reduction in serious defects, media has obviously helped with fade of it in the papers etc but its just going to rise again. You just let us know when to look out for it tho!
  23. None however only because I pulled over and jumped out first. Almost got breath tested across from an actual RBT because he wanted a reason to look under the hood. Lights went green before he could cross. Secondly ducked into a servo before a aqua green hwy patrol pulled me over. He also almost took out my car when he decided he wanted to book my friend, I assume thats why he did not come after us. ll in all good weekend was good to see a massive show cops over the long weekend I hope they got alot of DUI's!
