Tried searching but couldn't find anything. Anyway my s2 r33 has the following mods, hks silent hi power catback, highflow cat, front mount and 9psi. With these mods it made 178rwkw. When I upped the boost to 11psi it made 182rwkw and I thought it didn't gain much more than I was expecting. I have just bought a jjr 3 inch bellmouth dump pipe to replace the stock dump. What power gain would I be looking at roughly once installed? Cheers

I doubt it's the plugs. They will be black from your overfueling issue. When I had a blown turbo gasket the leak was making a more of a quiet wet fart noise and got louder as I accelerated but it didn't feel like it hindered my performance.

Yea I need a tune pretty bad. I can't stand to look at the back of my car (white skyline). It still drives smooth and I managed a nice 182rwkw with just exhaust and intercooler but when I had the boost leak I could hardly drive it as it had the same symptoms as the OP so I would like to know how rich mine was with the leak. The guy who dynoed my car said that was normal richness for a 33 with said mods. What I would like too know is what makes the car hesitate and jolt around like madness with a boost leak? I would assume it would just loose heaps of power. Is it an ecu defense?

Hey mate I had this same problem for weeks, completely identical symptoms, I checked piping and pretty much everything else. Then it dawned to me that I didn't properly check the piping connection under the airbox because I am lazy lol. Turns out it was loose and making a minor leak. Tightened it and I was boosting again. Make sure there are no splits, and that they are connected properly and tightened

My HKS system cost me $1000 from just jap if I remember correctly. Installed it my self. It has a very nice note to it. I also had a hiflow cat installed later on which gave it a nice bark to it when the taps are opened but I really loved the note it had with the previous cat as well. It has never gotten me into trouble with the police either. IMO best exhaust for a gtst but maybe I'm just biased

In my opinion get a JJR cooling-pro stealth FMIC in black. Keeps all the stock piping, very minimal pressure drop and keeps the piggies away

I was wondering if the problem could be fixed by changing back to the stock cat but keeping the front mount temporarily until I can get the car tuned?

I never thought of the plugs. Didn't think it would happen so suddenly if it was the plugs and the car was running fine until the intercooler and cat were installed. I'll check the plugs tho as I suspect they might have some age about them lol

Ok update. The car misfired once last night at about 4500rpm and again this afternoon at about the same revs so could the problem I'm having be related to the coilpacks? The coilpacks I originally put in the car where out of my n/a r33 so maybe they are beginning to fail? This is running about 8-9psi of boost.

Does anyone know if there is a workshop in the area who can tune my car with a nistune as I find going to Melbourne a bit of a hassle lol

I'm planning on highflowing the turbo in 6 month+ depending on when I get posted back up to qld (army). My plan is to get about 250rwkw so I'd say a nistune would be the way to go. I'm located about 3 1/2 hours away from Melbourne so it's a bit of a hassle to get my car tuned as of now unless there is a tuner closer to Albury that I am not aware of

Ok it seems the car likes 5psi and that's it. Any higher and it hits r&r. Bit of a bummer really cos there is no one in my area who can tune my car. How do I go about getting a Nistune as I have heard they don't like r33's?

Ok I'll try running standard boost tomorrow and see if that fixes it. Cheers guys
