Sau Dinner/bowling Night - 14th Of September
Fishpaste~ replied to *flick*'s topic in South Australia
i will try and show for this =) 100% for dinner.... but sooo not keen on bowling again!! =( possibly come and what bowling... see heslo bowl is worth the price of admission right?? =P parking in the city is EASY when you know how (or have your own private car park) =P -
pics?!?!? =)
-
nooo.. hp good, user bad!!! =P nfi, unable to copy files during windows setup could also mean a critical peice of HW is faulty.... first thing i would look at is ram, then optical drive, HDD, then mobo then cpu... if it still fails after you have tested all those, including the cables they connect to MB with (for the drives)... then you have yourself a BIG problem btw, let this be a lesson to you all!!! Limewire brakes PCs, DONT use it... EVER!!!! RARARARARARA!!! and dont use zone alarm, thats even worse!
-
sif change the colour of flicks car!!!!!
-
lol, last time i checked GTRs didnt have mitsubishi FTO written across their rear end.... hang on, dont we drive nissans?!?!? =D car sales ftl!! =P edit: damn, someone beat me to it =(
-
if you dont mind, how much you paying for it, what is it and where from?
-
as far as i know they have fixed up the oil problems with the 33 engine, someone probably should confirm this, but thats about it for major imporvements, im sure they have done some further tweaking to it as well the late modle r32 gtrs had the pull type clutch as well i dont think there is a down side to having a 33 engine in it, as far as bolting it in its the same, so no tricky mounting issues, probably want to find out the turbos it has on it... just think of it almost like having the engine rebuilt... thats a good thing right??
-
hey, this time its all paulys doing!!!! =P if it was up to me, it'd just be every 2nd friday regardless...
-
i'll be there with bells on!!

yeah, with a million different and rather generic answers i'm looking at boost controllers right now infact, the 3 on my list are: greedy profec b spec II apexi power fc boost controller kit, and Blitz SBC Spec R - Dual Solenoid going through all the pros and cons of them, i think the power fc add on might win because i really dont want controllers sitting in the car but the summary from the threads on SAU is that the blitz dual solenoid controllers are the best and hold boost the best (the spec r is the entry level controller for that range) and the greedy is sitting on top of my list because i asked shaun from boost worx what he would recomend, and this is the one!! i think its going to come down to the greedy vs apexi, i just want some more information on them first =) hope this helps
-
yeah, to get anything over the 240-260 mark boost worx recomends turbo upgrades with supporting mods
-
well, i'm sure mine is stock, with a few little things done already (exhaust and ECU) and its getting stock kws so for me it'll be a boost controller: about $450 fitted, Hi-flow CAT $380 fitted and tune $200... so about $1000 and i should see those kind of figures depending on the condition of the engine (i think boost worx charge the same amount for a tune or a re-map, but would have to double check with shaun) if you check out the wasteland sinful got her 32 gtr to 260 with just a power fc from what i can remember (probably also a boost controller)
-
stock power should be around 200rwkw, but quickly goes up to 240-260 with boost controller, exhaust and a tune/re-map =) after that, you decided what power you want to get to hence what turbos you want, and start doing supporting mods for them till your ready for the turbos... then the sky is the limit =P edit: well, thats my plan at least... and im pritty sure thats what ALOT of the other gtr owners do as well
-
well, why are you considering the upgrade? is there a specific reason for it? /me is bored at work =(

well it was $1100 labour for all this + valve shims: I would like to do a full 100,000km service to it including: Timing belt, spark plugs, water pump, oil pump, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, flush and replace coolant, all other fluids (clutch, diff, gear box, power steering, HICAS, ATESSA, etc), front engine seals, idle bearing, tensioner bearing, tensioner pulley studs, thermostat, all other belts and anything else you can suggest. that should give you a ruff idea, not sure if he quoted on teh bearing replacments tho... i'd have to double check the e-mail when i get home
-
cant give you exact price on the what it would cost he quoted labour for the whole job + individual parts prices, the pump itself was around $600 but i have no idea about the labour involved, soz
-
actually nothing has gone wrong with my car, its coming up to its 100,000km service, so im going to get it done properly and actually replace the oil pump with an n1 oil pump and get the sump modified, shaun from boost worx has got some kinda techniqe he uses to do it heaps cheaper than anywhere else in adealide, basically i e-mailed EVERYONE on the workshop listing as well as a few others, boost worx was the ONLY place to give me a full itemised quote with everything explained, didnt question any crazy request i had and didnt say "bring it in to get it looked at" but things i have had done to it: re-shimed the valves (i think this is recomended to get done ever 40 to 80,000kms depending on how hard you drive the car) as well as a leak down test and a power run to check mixtures etc. also had a lot of it visual inspected by the guys from boost worx, including suspension. havent really needed any major repairs nothing critical has failed, one of the O2 sencors was a bit dicky but has come good recently, the air-con needs looking at, but i knew that before i bought it and there are no other issues lurking. so far the bill has been around $600 - this includes $100 to attempt to silence brembos =P it all depends on how hard your gonna push it from the time you get it... if your an experianced track racer that is going to take it out the week you get it, then you could be looking at some issues, but if you have the time to make sure things are in order first, then they will be no worse off than a 33 imo - infact slightly better hope this helps
-
i own a 32gtr, and most of the good con 32gtrs are around the $22,000 mark (i purchased mine earlier this year)... so $28 seems kinda round the mark i'd expect from a 95-ish r33 mebe a bit on the cheap-ish side of things i'd also recomend shaun from boost worx, he's helped me out lots questions???
-
lol, that poor r33 gtst.... was pulled over by the cops on the way home for speeding, reaked me out coz the cop came out of a side road just as i was going past, all lights a blazing!!! i dont think he was on the cruise tho. but was a trouble free cruise for me big ups to cara for organising it, my passanger and i had a blast =P btw, sif need a myspace account to see pictures!!
