  7. Nizmo.. its definately a manual.... how do i know because ive been it many times. Daniel
  8. Yes its definately a manual. What he's after is - he wants to do a turbo motor conversion into his toyota van. He is looking to do something different hense the van. He is interested in any motor (eg:RB20det, RB25det, SR20det, 2j,1J,etc), but was told that all toyotas share the same mounting points on the engine so it would be easiest to fit another toyota motor. Any ideas????? Daniel
  9. Matt if the exhaust is SS, full turbo back and has the wastegate splitter all for $800...... GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GRAB IT CAUSE THATS A BARGIN. PS - i have a vf22 and link now as well Dan
  10. dolice.... what modification do you want to make???? I have a MMS turbo back (all MMS are Norm Bulter built). The way to tell if its MMS i it will have a wastegate splitter built into the dumppipe (this is where the power gains come from as Ken was saying)... To fit it its a piece of cake. We did took mine off 2 weeks ago, fitted my ew turbo and put it back on ourselves..... Daniel

  20. There is a place in Malga..... MTQ i think there called. Engineering place i believe...... they sell turbos, and if yu pay cash give you great deals. We bought two it was 1099 plus GST. So 1200 in total. You might want to see if they sell garrett.... they do sell direct to public if you pay cash. Daniel
  21. Zanga agreed - and my dick is bigger than yours ;-> Adrian - Huge difference.... remarkable. I had to put the stock ecu in because my link was tuned for small turbo and ran like shit. But still goes suprising well, even with the massive overfuelling. Adrian would be happy to take you for a spin....... Daniel
  22. I fitted my turbo on Sat, and was not intending to say or post anything... but puckish has let the cat out of the bag and opened a can of worms... just to clarify.... 1. i have spent no where near 5K. turbo brand new cost me 1200 and exhaust was on car when i bought it (so estimate 1500) 2. r33 with hi flows and ecu + front mounts still not doing 12's consistantly. The only one who seems to have cracked it once was Macka. Either every r33 driver is a hack(which I dont think so) or hi flow + ecu + fmic just doesnt cut it. At a total cost of 800( link ecu) + 1200 (turbo) + 500 (tune) = $2500 i hope to run confortably into the 12's.. so your theory od chopping wrx's goes out the window But theory mean sweetf*ck all, so in the next few weeks I hope to be heading down for some runs and hopefully(fingers crossed) some proof. Until then I will shut my hole and wait. Daniel
  23. good luck with the sale champ Daniel
  24. Which ones are outstanding Steve???? Modena ... very nice.. what about hollinger -> great but pricy. Daniel
  25. Steve A friend of mine (most people in WRX circles know him) purchased a PPG full syncomesh box. On arrival and his inspection there were many little imperfections in the gears. He returned them to which they replied that they were extremely sorry they somehow missed inspection in quality. So they sent out a second gear set... and guess what same thing. They apologied again - but friend demanded refund. Which they gave him. He has now purchased a Alvin Ivans syncromesh gear set. And after having a look at the photos, quatily is outstanding. Has PPG quality dropped? Looks like it.......... Have you thought about going Alvin Ivans? I has some photos of the gear sets i can email you Steve if you interested... Daniel
