If your clutch is engaging as soon as you lift it of the floor your clutch is stuffed mine was like that until I put the Heavy duty in. I had to have the flywheel machined as I let go to far and the rivets hit it, and now I only have to push it a quater of the way in to disengage. takes a bit of getting used to not having it engage as soon as you lift your foot.
When I put my after market boost gauge on I found it showed 3lb over what the in dash one showed my dash one stock boost 7lb put new in and it shows 10lb, I put it down to cheap boost gauge being inacurate, now I am not game to turn up the boost not knowing wich is correct
R31Nismoid I was hanging shit on you in a previous post as a joke and used you real name and another Ash thought I was talkin about him, the joke has now lost its humor if it was funny in the first place.
If you read Marios site he tells you things that he can, things that are not trade secrets (Major Specs) and anyone in the know would see it being standard to the task. You don't let the opposition in on how you do it (break records), it is the little things that break these records not the major parts that Mario has on his site, he is not giving away every thing and I dont blame him, just take your time and think about it guys.
I am sorry you have this feeling Mario, about not letting people enter to see you car run again, I think you will loose a lot of supporters by doing this, but if this is what you want so be it. I think you need some sort of PR guy working with you to keep the crowd happy but also keep the security tight. I have been following your build up of GTR700 over the years and if it were to happen, would cease the following.
I stood off to the side and had a conversation with one of the pit crew form Marios camp and he was very willing to talk to me about how things were going, I and some of the things that had happened over the weekend with the car (Track wise) I for one did not want to get in their way and dont believe they should be getting the flack that they are. If you have a read of Marios site you will understand what type of weekend they had.....
Pannic is an unasuming car it is quiet, looks like an average VL except for slicks, but puts every one to shame. I would be intersted to see how much is spent on it, compared to RH9 or GTR700
Only third. Just had a Daiken extra heavy duty clutch put in about a month ago also. I also find it hard to go into reverse when sitting stationary & motor cold some times.
Went to Heathcote drags on the Weekend and my car won't change up into third if the revs are above 4 grand it just grinds any idea of the problem, except my box has a problem, wich is abvious:( would changing to a good oil fix this or is it a more serious problem as a synchro gone.
Mr_fanny you only done it once I done it bloody three times I thought there was something wrong with my car and when I relised what I was doing I pissed myself laughing all the way back to the line up area. I am putting this one down to a bad experiance, if I do those times next time I am taking myself out the back and shooting myself
Dont laugh, I need to learn to use all 5 gears instead of 1,2,5 did it bloody 3 times and the other two, to much wheel spin. Will have to go to a drag School to learn how to drive
Yeah had great day good to meet all, I have to learn there is 5 gears not 1,2,5 damn have another go 1,2,5 not again, anyway looking forward to next outing
