  1. I have a Exedy extreme heavy duty and are happy and mine aint light I have a stronger left leg now and its tha last 2 inches that gets ya , cost me $700 that with a flywheel machine & changing the front seal in the box

Just out of interest When I started my car this morning when it was cold it started to idle roughly again, so I unpluged the AFM and the revs went up but the car ran beautifuly. whats got me that my Auto elec said they had it tested & calibrated it and it was fine, I have my doubts. now to find a loan one so I can test it...

  9. Leave the pillar gauges off and Mount a small gaudge were Taxi's have it and see what Happens I was using the pillar gauge as an example. i bet you get defected. I hope you can see were I am comming from I dont have gauges on my car so I dont care, I just find it amusing.
  10. The whole thing is, it is either legal or not, simple, it should not be open to interpretation from one person to another. If you went to court for being pinged for guages on the dash, couldnt you use the Taxi case in favor of your defence to prove that the meters in taxis are more of an obstruction of you view than pillar gauges?

I am trying to work out why Taxi's are aloud to have their meters sitting on the dash blocking their vision when us humble car enthuisiusts get pinged for having a gauge on a pillar mount not blocking our vission. Come on if one rule applies to us it should apply to all vehicles on the road, your thoughts.

  14. Talked to nispares and they tell me they are an off the shelf item from any bearing & seal place. Now I just need the part number Doh

My nics has a simular problem it tends to misfire & be laggy while cruising when cold, as soon as the motor warms up and the temp needle hits the fist line on the gauge it takes off and is fine. I have, changed ECU temp censor, O2 Sensor, just had the AFM Calibrated wich fixed my over fueling problem as some one had dicked with it and was way out. I have just replaced my ECU and it seems to not be laggy when cold but splutters a bit more when cold but can put that down to still learning. this has been a quest over the last 12 months and will not be happy until it purs.

  20. So the NICS & ECCS redtop injectors are the same, low impedence 220cc??? the R32 Silver top are different I am confused in one post you say the Redtop Nics & Redtop ECCS are different and in the last one you say they are the same.
  21. I was not having a go at you R32-GTS I stand corrected. In what way are they differnet as in impedence or CC? are they high impedence?
  22. He is talking about a redtop ECCS I assume??? so the injectors are the same.
  23. AFM & ECU different Injectors are same. the main Difference are the inlet manifold. the NICS has a 12 port inlet manifold the head is 6 port, there are two sets of runners on the NICS and only 6 on the ECCS, the theory on the NICS was that the two set of 6 runners are different length under low revs, or take off, the long ports are open giving more torque in theory. After the revs build up the second lot of runners are opened through the butterflys which are shorter for top end power. Turbo yes the RB25 bolts straight on, but you must get the banjos and oil lines as well. Next quetion the NICS chip is currently being worked on by a couple of people to see if it can be re-programmed so will have to wait and see.
  24. My Autelec was using a profesional light, the wierd thing is that he retarted the CAS fully and his light showed 18 degrees
  25. I have read in a couple of places that RB's ingition using double triggers ignition, causing timming lights to show double the actual timming on timming lights, so the unweary mech's turn your timming down retarding it to some weird setting. Is this correct? any info on this welcome...
