  1. Hi Guys I am looking for a 3" cat back exhaust and high flow cat. Please email me at [email protected], looking to spend under $500. Just want something not too loud and flows well. Pics as well id poss would be good. Im in Melbourne.
  2. Skyline injectors do click alot. I had a problem where my injectors would get heat soak and fail on two of them, the ticking was more pronounced when this happened and power halved but the car still ran. Replaced injectors and all sorted. The car sounded like a Rex when the injectors failed.
  3. 180SX is 4 stud whereas Skyline Turbos are 5 stud.
  4. Has anyone used the Microtech plug and play system? You can do away with the AFM...
  5. I would recommend buying a private sale Skyline, as the prices through dealers are so much more inflated that even with a few thou off they still do not represent good value for money. Some of the smaller dealers are not too bad though. Why not import? I would highly recommend www.prestigemotorsport.com.au , Geoff has to be the most honest and helpful person I have encountered in the auto industry. You can save alot of money too, and he has access to all the big auctions in JP. Geoffs email address is [email protected] If you want to see what kind of stock he has available, he has a section on his website which shows all his previously sold cars and their prices.
  6. Has anyone with the standard air box (R33) noticed that in the top half of the box there is some 'padding'? It is only a cm thick, but is this used to make intake more quiet? If so its got to go...
  7. I seen a picture of a black bonnet on a maroon R32 and it looked pretty average...I know what you mean about silver, my old R33 needed the rear quarter painted and it came out looking very noticable.
  8. If you do end up getting a fuel reg, the Malpassi brand is very commonly used and are around $300 new I think. A mate of mine picked one up 2nd hand for $150. If you are looking at plug and play ECUs, have a look at the Microtech model for R33s as well as these are $1300 new and do not require the Airlow meter. As usual, allow for tuning.
  9. Guys, you might want to look at a castor correction kit from Whiteline. These are only a few hundred (at most)from memory and will sort everything out. Check out www.whiteline.com.au and its a good idea to call them so as they can recommend a shop in your area that will install them. Or you can buy the whole Whiteline handling pack for around $850 installed which includes adjustable swaybars and a castor and camber kit. Makes a huge difference to handling and you dont get the harsh ride of coilovers.
  10. DO you know where these Kentex pads can be bought from as they sound the go. I have used Bendix Ultimates before just on the front and they work well but get fade on the track and heaps of dust generally. They also squel alot even with the little clip things in the brakes still inserted.
  11. I have just imported a white 1993 R33 GTS Turbo auto, I was planning on keeping this myself but other plans have come up. It is totally stock as far as mods go (apart from the speed cut being removed)and runs very nicely. Being an stock auto I imagine that this car has had a very easy life and features the factory bodykit (tougher looking front bar, side skirts, pods and rear wing) and has CD player as well as tinted rear windows. Is in very good condition and has 83,000 ks on the clock. Very clean and will be sold with RWC and compliance. I am open to negotiation and ALL mechanical inspections are very welcome as I believe this car is in fantastic condition. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested or preferably call me on 0407286697. I can email pictures to any one that is interested tomorrow if you contact me.(The file is too big to add here unfortunately)
