  1. Nah that aint possible to do, the cam gears won't go on the wrong cams. But yeah running the procam on the exhaust side is a bit questionable. I thought the procams were only for solid lifters?
  2. Sounds like a very similar problem i had man, but with my old HKS cams. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Di...+Valve++springs No matter what we did we couldn't figure out what was going on. Ended up selling the cams, ripping the head off to check everything and now rebuilding the entire head with new cams. What cam are you using on the exhaust side to get 260 degrees?
  3. Don't even bother wasting your time with such an old school turbo. As said by others, depending on what power you exactly want you have a few choices for the max "safe" power out of a stock internal RB25. IMO opinion there are three great commonly available turbo's to choose from for the sort of thing you seem to want. GTRS, 2835, 3037 Obviously there are others like APEXI, TRUST etc but are a bit hard to find through a shop or second hand. But anything equivalent to these is what you want. Anything smaller and your not really "pushing" the motor for max power and anything bigger is starting to get a bit laggy for power levels that may hurt the motor. All a bit of a gamble really
  4. There are no australian delivered R33's.
  5. Please don't get a uni filter, they are more hassel then they are worth if not looked after carefully. Just get a K&N or something that isn't foam based and prone to disintegrating. Trust me, the amount of uni filters i have seen with holes in them and bits of foam in air flow metres is beyond a joke, i still don't get why people buy them. Yes a foam based filter will stop more dirt going through, but they aren't designed to last forever and need to be constantly checked and cleaned. They are mainly designed for 4WD's that go off road and get heaps of dirt going into the air intake so the foam filters are good at stopping all that. In a street driven car, i don't understand why people don't go a K&N or similar. Only reason i mention K&N is because they are relatively cheap (compared to a blitz, trust etc filter), commonly available and flow and filtrate very well.
  6. 1. Illegal in QLD because as said by R31Nismoid its still a turbo'd car on the build plate. If you got everything engineered and mod plated then it would be legal, however think of the costs to do that. 2. The costs involved in changing over the exhaust manifold, turbo and dump pipe for extractors and an exhaust, then removing the intercooler, pipework, bov, lines etc to the non turbo stuff, let alone the ECU etc would cost a decent amount unless you got all the stuff for cheap however the engine is still a low compression engine so would run like crap. 3. A turbo'd skyline with the turbo removed would be slower then a non turbo skyline due the the low compression so where's the point in that?
  7. Well regarding the gearing, manual LS1's in Holdens (SS, CV8 etc) run 3.46 final gear ratio's (5 speed skylines run 4.11), therefore yes the gearing is pretty long. In HSV's they run 3.73 so slightly closer (not sure about the new VE's). As regarding to "real world experiences", there is a 400rwkw monaro in my garage, therefore i think thats good enough. Obviously not stock, but it was bought brand new so i have personally seen the difference between a stock LS1, a LS1 with basic bolt ons and a cam and then a supercharger added into the equation. It does however have 3.73 gearing in the diff now which has definetely made it better to drive in day to day traffic yet still has good enough top speed when needed... Honestly with the 3.73 gearing in the back i find it perfect. 1st gear stretches out nicely unlike a skyline where 1st gear is over by the time you blink and the rest seem fine. Obviously 6th is never used unless your out on the highway doing 100 but it sits at a nice low rpm level unlike in the skyline at 100 in 5th its a bit higher then i would prefer. If i could have a getrag 6 speed in my skyline i would, wouldn't you?
  8. a) this website is 99% about skylines or some relevance to skylines. This section of Skylines Australia is about "Compurt art" ie what someone has done with photos/photoshops etc. Or to post up something cool that some one might not have seen before. You havn't done sh*t. What are you actually doing? You are searching for random photos in google images and then posting them here one after another. Wow what a genius you must be. b) look at your threads on here, what have you actually done? Posted a thread about random pictures and then posted a thread copied from some one else.... You do realise there is more to this website then "computer art" dont you? Maybe you should sign up to a photo related website and teach them how to google search images, since that seems to be your strong point
  9. Been watching Tokyo Drift have we..... Post up progress pics if you go through with it, should be an interesting conversion.
  10. Pedro, R31Nismoid is selling GTR Bov's in the for sale section at the moment if you wanna get one.
  11. Hahaha fair enough, yeah try the redline stuff, i think you'll be happy with your decision.
  12. Could you post a pic of your 750HP engine bay with a recent newspaper next to it, im dying to see it He's right you know Joey, if you ever need some one to talk to when you lose a race against some one using a world electronics boost controller, im here for you brother
  13. Was searching for something about a race and i find this gem thread!! This is like finding oil in your backyard! Haha great read. Carry on
  14. This thread and the "i put diesel into my car instead of petrol" are definetely stand outs this week lol.
  15. Am i the only one not understanding what that means or its relevance? Too many gear changes? It's got one extra gear that isn't used until they are hitting over 200km/h. Technically you will find that skylines have closer gearing in the gearbox and final diff ratio compared to a LS1/LS2 holden. So a skyline will actually go through the first few gears quicker than a holden, so no idea what your on about there.
  16. Havn't used the royal purple personally, i went the lightweight shockproof in mine. Definetely improved the gearbox feel. Still a little stiff when cold, but when warmed up, it feals like a new tight box without any crunch or sloppyness. Don't go the superlight weight for a street car though.
  17. Yeah not really my type of thing to personally own either. They are a good car though and have great potential.
  18. Now that would be a crime! (The ripping the motor out of a Ferrari or Lambo lol)
  19. Yep seems fine. How does it drive though? Pulls hard throughout the rev range? Thats the main thing.
  20. So they use all the factory mounting etc to fit them?
  21. Ummm whats the power figure......
  22. Google images was created for a reason, not for you to search in google images and then post all the pictures in here, wasting space on SAU. Im putting an end to this crap, mods can you close and delete this pointless crap by this idiot.
  23. Its in the forced induction section. You really are an idiot aren't you? What does this have to do with computer art? Absolutely nothing. And what makes you think that some one looking for information about an ALSD is going to look in the computer art section. Think about that for a second. And it doesn't go into "open wheel mode" when hot, you don't even know what your typing, that modification to the ecu wiring is for aftermarket ecu's that dont send the TPS signal to the ecu for the diff. How do i know? Becuase i have one, unlike you. Seriously man your starting to piss me off with both your threads.
