  1. Series 2 foglights are H1's 100%.
  2. Remember this one for the future as its with most cars. If it sounds like a rex/rotary, it means one or more of the cylinders isn't firing (unless its a rex/rotary lol). Easy way to check what cylinder it is, while the car is running, unplug coilpack number one and see if the note changes. If it does it aint that one. Plug it back in and continue to do all of them until you find one that doesn't change the exhaust note. That is the cylinder the car isn't firing on. Could be as simple as a loose plug connection on the coil pack or a faulty coil pack or plug. Pretty easy really
  3. The RB26 has a much larger torque tightness compared to the RB25 bolt but you could try this as it works for me. Get a nice long breaker bar on the end of the socket. Get someone to put the car into gear and stomp the brakes as hard as they can. Put your entire weight into the breaker bar. Wait for the loud crack and then you slam your knuckles into something in the engine bay. Swear continually for 5 or so minutes. That's how i always get mine off. PS: I warned you about the smashing your knuckles into something lol
  4. Dead set is that turbo off of a train or something!! Fark me!!
  5. Yep a tune will fix it. Did it get tuned when you installed it? Or are you just running it on the base map? The light also flashes if the injectors are maxing out, or if the airflow metre is maxing out. So it could also be that. Check your hand controller's max knock count, max airflow voltage and max injector duty cycle to see what one it is. But most likely it is knock.
  6. Means the air/fuel mixture inside the cylinder is exploding under its own free will from compression instead of burning when the engine ignites a spark from the spark plug. Ie. your engine will eventually die if it continues like this.
  7. Means the engine is knocking, stop doing it. Is the car running some sort of engine management?
  8. Looking forward to seeing how she goes Dave Hopefully you have some better luck than last time.
  9. Yep correct, however i thought the Apexi Rb25 cams don't retain the VCT and therefore an adjustable cam gear can be fitted. They are pretty rare cams, there's bugger all info about them.
  10. He said he has Apexi cams, im pretty sure the apexi cams allow the fitment of an adjustable cam gear.
  11. ^LOL Remove VCT cam gear, fit aftermarket cam gear, simple as that. Just leave the solenoid etc in there and it shall be fine.
  12. Yep they are completely different. Different exhaust flange for one thing, not a T3.
  13. 250kw out of a 2535? I don't think so. My mates just makes 230rwkw on a RB25. The 2535 is too small as an "upgrade turbo" on a RB25 and it aint worth the hassell to do all the installation and other mods required (fuel system etc) when your just going to want to want more power a couple of weeks later. He said he wants the max power out of a stock motor RB25, which i take as anywhere between 260-300ish kw. The 2535 is not going to make those goals no matter what.
  14. Like i said in your other thread, a GT-RS will give you much more power than a 2535. The 2535 IMO is too small for a RB25 and is only slightly larger then the factory turbo and you will want more power in a few weeks. The 2535 is a great turbo on a RB20 however. GT-RS (2871R), 2835 or 3037. Pick one of those as it they will give you good power and the stock bottom end can handle them.
  15. If you can get a GTRS for $1000, what the hell are you waiting for?
  16. PM sent man
  17. Wow thats impressive.
  18. The GT-RS is oil and water cooled. I bought my GT-RS off of nengun a couple of years ago for $2500 delivered. Obviously the 2835 and 3037 were dearer in HKS. However the Garrett equivalents are a lot more cheaper. What do you want? The most power you can get safely? Then go the 3037. Or do you want the most responsive with still good power? Then go the GT-RS. If you want something inbetween go the 2835, simple as that See what one you can get for a good price new or second hand.
  19. Nah my head is still in Adelaide, should be done before christmas. However my car won't be back on the road until mid January most likely. Ill let you know once its all done.
  20. What's the engine setup on RH9? Still a 2.6L?
  21. Could do, however you should have gained a bit more power with the new cams, so technically its more than 15kw.
  22. Ok well that atleast explains why its coming on boost a bit later since you have gotten rid of the VCT cam gear on the intake.
  23. Custom plates give the car a bit of character and atleast people can call the car by the name, i know i refer to all my mates car's by their custom plates. Better then saying, "you know that silver R32 GTR with the 5 spoke wheels...." So IMO not a waste of money at all, however there are certain circumstances where i think money has been thrown down the drain completely on certain plates.
